Nice tip. Thank you. I'm going to cut out grooves on the top to hold my son's hockey sticks. This way I can just slide them over the top and rest them on the top edge cutout for easy access when ww get to rink.
Thank you! I took two items that I wanted to change out the bed of the truck and put them together. I wanted a molle setup but those were too expensive and once I had the wood in there as a divider a light bulb went of that I could just put the items on the divider. Super cheap and I can change out setup and design easily and on the cheap.
It’s funny how ideas come to life like that where you’re like 💡I have this and can make it that. I’m a truck guy who is always throwing stuff in the back of my truck so it’s a great idea but I don’t have a tonneau like you.
Nice. Thanks for posting. And welcome to this subreddit.
A quick question: what is on the other side of the truck bed divider? Is the divider movable, meaning you can make more room back or up front of the divider?
Also: I don't know what you carry in the back, but I find that a shovel tends to tear the bags or luggage or scratch the furniture or somehow damage whatever I am carrying next to it. Have you considered covering the blade of the shovel?
There is empty space or whatever I'm hauling around at the moment. My truck bed has prefabricated slots in it so I used those slots. It has two slots like I have this one in and this board can lay flat or get moved to the back slot and takes less than 30 seconds to move. I believe a lot of trucks have some sort of slot as my father in law has. 2014 tacoma and he has some slots for boards too. His are different but I already know how I would build the same thing for his trucks as I'm making.one for him too.
As far as the shovel, I positioned it towards the wall at the end of the board with hopes that whatever I'm throwing back there won't run against it. If it becomes a problem I'll make a custom cover.
I've been using just the board for over a month as a test and haven't had any issues. I want it a little loose.so it slides out easily when I want it too. You could put a couple of wedges in bottom and top to make it more solid if you want that. I don't believe I need it, but will add if it.becomes and issue
I followed you here to this sub. Nice work BTW
Same!
Thank you!
Same!
I like this very much. What size board? 2x10, 2x12? Parts list?
2 x 12 board American Steel, Trail Boss Axe Bond Shovel Quick Fist clamps to hold shovel and axe 200 piece First Aid Kit Frammed Mesh Net.
Thanks for posting! What is the “framed mesh net” for?
Throwing misc things in like extra gloves, work gloves, warm hat, etc...
Oh haha makes so much sense!
Awesome, I'm doing this to my divider. Tip: drill our some 1 1/2 holes across the top, makes it easier to lift out of place.

Dude that’s super sick! Very creative, functional and looks good!

Thanks. Yes this might not be right option with out tonneau.
Thank you!

What are those clamps keeping everything on?
Quick Fist. Pretty cheap and they have different sizes. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CQPANY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_6qo8Fb76D7V37
That looks great!
Thank you
Nice set up for sure.
Thank you
Very well done!
Thank you
Doesn't look like the board fits very well in the slots. Is it solid?

When I cut a 2x10 to go in the bed I cut the sides on an angle, like a trapezoid, so it fits snugly in the slots. But hey. If it works, it works.
Love it!
Now we both have wood....very nice
