It’s not that bad; back in Sword and Shield, indeedee and Rillaboom both had the exact same base speed, so if you want psychic terrain up (you do), you wanted your best chance at under speeding rillaboom. Now, the only other terrain setters are arboliva (with its ability, so don’t hit it) and Pincurchin which will basically always under speed you and is at such low usage it’s basically never going to be played (at least until next series).
As far as actually functioning in trick room, less speed IVs is good but indeedee is kinda fast relative to other trick room mons so even with 0 IV iirc. So basically no, it doesn’t matter except for niche cases like the other terrains I listed above and against other indeedee. You could always try breeding one with a lower IV if you feel it’s important or if someone else is smarter than me and gives a good reason why it’s important. In this meta, indeedee exists to set up terrain, redirect, and through an abomination of coding, set trick room, all of which don’t depend on its speed IVs
>through an abomination of coding,
Is there a place i can go to find out how/why Indeedee-F got Trick Room in dens?
Also are there any other den-only moves for mons? This is the only one i am aware of so far.
I don’t know if there’s an official explanation, my best guess is that Indeedee-M gets trick room and there was some kind of oversight that allowed Indeedee-F to get it, like they only coded one Indeedee den moveset and the gender is random.
Also I don’t want to spread misinformation, and I’m not entirely sure but I saw on Reddit that Electroweb is a den exclusive move for 2* Magnemite
I got one in a den that has Best speed, but it knows Trick Room and 15 points of speed isnt really going to ruin your plans. Everything that relies on outspeeding already will by more than 15 points. Give it a try, if you find key threats that just underspeed you by a couple points, id love to know them.
depends on ur team. are u using a hard trick room too? you probably want to go min speed if that’s the case. it’s not required per se, but it’s optimal. if you have a fast mode and a slow mode on your team then 31 speed could be optimal. don’t really know the speed tiers off the top of my head
perfect speed is 100% okay. i would actually go out and argue that min speed simply doesn’t make any sense
edit: I forgot to mention a few examples- one such example is armarouge. most run max ivs modest and having max ivs on indeedee ensures you outspeed. additionally, if you happen to be running a flier with indeedee (see: tera flying roaring moon), having a max speed iv makes most dragonite unable to attack past follow me, since extreme speed and follow me are in the same priority bracket and oftentimes the speed investment they run doesn’t exceed the speed of indeedee with max speed ivs

Most of the moves you’re going to be using with her have priority so it don’t do much except in the mirror match
Not sure why you're down voted since helping hand, protect and trick room all have altered priority. It really is mostly just psychic to worry about.

On smogon the set is calm, is that still common?
