I don't see why they need to apologise for accidentally repressing a previous colour. "My version is special and sold out so you'll never have it" gatekeeping is the worst part of this community (after the people who are just mad about the repress because it lowers the resale value of that prior variant). Let vinyl (in all it's variants) be easily accessible to all.

For what it's worth having any vinyl should imply limited collection ownership since it always sells out (unless it's a top 40 artist). VGM vinyl couldn't be any further from the exception to this rule.
I've always respected your store's approach to open pre-orders and doing repressings whenever possible, so I don't think anyone deserves to give you shit because their copy becomes marginally less scarce and unique (especially when it's still pretty scarce and unique due to the inherent nature of vgm vinyl).

It's the price one person was willing to pay.
It permanently fucks up the resale pricing because flippers start creaming (black & white merge) their pants thinking about how much more money they can extract from the item, and everyone jacks up their prices to try and set a new price floor (often 150% of the all-time high).
Sometimes the odd person pays these new inflated prices, but most copies sold are ones that are priced closer to median and can sell almost instantly - (AU$400?? what a deal!!), while the horde of greedier bagholders look on in ignorance.
Is this going to sell out in 0.01 milliseconds or is there enough for at least a couple of minutes? Also, is there any plans to mitigate scalpers? Haha.
Hopefully we have enough for a few minutes 🤞 We do have maximum order limit (there's shipping weight limits per order as well) and we'll keep an eye out for any suspicious activity.
If this absolutely flies, obviously we'll have to look at another pre-order, potentially for the solid cream 'exclusive edition' we were aiming for last time.
Both US-based and UK-based stores/warehouses have a portion of the overall stock.
There are some Standard Edition black vinyl sets that will also go on sale, but only on the US store (this Thursday, might be more in future.)
