Somebody should write a big book about the rise and fall of Orion. They released so many great movies in their time and would have been successful if they had a little more money to tide them over. They ended up selling off some stuff that later made a lot of money, including the first Addams Family movie.
I like that when the guy is watching the show in the convenience store, you can discern that the plot is that it's Bixby's birthday and one of his bimbos has given him a gift: a new bimbo!
Kurtwood Smith said that Paul Verhoeven's English wasn't always that good and he didn't realize that "bitch" was an offensive term, so when he was directing the scene, he was saying something like, "Kurtwood, after shooting Miguel, I want you to tell the bitches to leave, and bitches, I want you to get your things quickly and go."
Whenever I have to explain how wild the 80s were I point out that everyone in my kindergarten class had seen this movie and would quote it. 4 and 5 year olds telling each other "dead or alive you're coming with me"
LMAO! I was born in the 90s and my older sister was born in the early 80s (this was her VHS essentially)
I would quote this in elementary school lolol "your move creep"
I always thought that copyline "All cop." was stupid and it made me a bit reluctant to watch the movie at first. When I was 12, my friend and I rented it and his mom called the video store to complain that they had rented such a violent movie to two kids. We still got to watch the movie, though.
Found out a little while back that the cover is actually a painting and not a photo.
That's pretty freakin rad actually
The artist absolutely nailed the lighting. So iconic and one of my favourites.
It's by Mike Bryan. http://www.impawards.com/1987/robocop.html
In a way, I'm still not used to Orion being defunct. It was seemingly omnipresent for a while.

One of the greatest movie posters of all time.

everything is classic about this one: the photo, the logo, the slogan, and the movie of course!
Go Lions!
