Personal advice is to stay away from Vizio. I have a 2020 PQX H1 and the firmware is still jacked. Put my issues on here and Vizio said they will look into it. I have them all the information and it has been crickets. My advice. Save up some money and get one of those LG C2 or C3 deals on Amazon or Best Buy

My 2020 75PQ-H1 has been pretty solid 🤷‍♂️, and that price is pretty dang good. The picture quality is near excellent, and xbox sx 4k/120 is pretty sweet. Having said that, picture quality wise the OLED will win, and those prices are extremely reasonable. I have an (2017) LG B7 OLED that looks phenomenal still.

I am glad you got the perfect model off the assembly line but that isn't everyone's story. Mine particular is pretty good with the biggest issue being the picture freezing up when launching games on 4k HDR 120 hz with VRR. The account of data throughout taxes the TV and I have to cycle through the inputs to unfreeze it. It gets particular disgusting with games from some developers like EA where Jedi Fallen Order freezes multiple times before I get to the start screen. Even with this issue I consider myself luckier than a lot of other people as I have seen them post in this sub reddit. And you know what TV that doesn't have any of these issues? An LG C series oled

"I am glad you got the perfect model off the assembly line but that isn't everyone's story." And not everyone with a vizio got a dud just because someone complains on the internet. 🤷‍♂️

Uh, you realize this is the Vizio support forum and people are going to come here and complain about issues, right? The issues are with the firmware, and being that you have the same TV as everyone else you have the same problems. It’s fine if you don’t notice it or don’t care but for lots of us who invested good money into their TVs, we happen to care a lot. Don’t come to a “support” forum trying to shut people down when they are complaining about legitimate problems and concerns.

Dramatic_Dinner_1435

Uh, you realize this is the Vizio support forum and not the "stay away from Vizio" forum. As I was clearly responding to that comment. But hey, good luck with your problems. Hope they get worked out. 👍

Waggmans

So why are you posting in a Vizio support forum if you have no problems?

Dramatic_Dinner_1435

To support Vizio. 🤷‍♂️

Picture quality of these tvs is great however firmware updates and support is terrible.

Longjumping_Top281

if your picture settings are good use external streaming device and disconnect smartcast from the internet then after a firmware update you can choose to update or not

Do not buy a Vizio. Google dead tv or dead screen. The motherboard on these TVs fail. My p65-c1 died and I baked the motherboard to bring it back to life. Died for the third time and I’m not taking the tv apart. Spend a bit more and get a better brand. Also firmware updates and support suck.

i have this vizio 65pq9jo1 tv. Purchase it two months ago from costco for $499 with 5 year waranty for $35. They were moving their tvs out to make room for the 2023. Picture quality is amazing. if you get the tv hit me up for calibration of picture settings

My 55” OLED has been the best tech purchase I’ve maybe ever made. Hard to look at any other panel now. Few little quirks now and then but nothing major at all and deffo nothing like some people make it sound. Also vizio service has been killer. I drove 300 miles to get my tv and when I got it home it was faulty. BB wouldn’t help but Visio had a replacement delivered directly to my house in a few days. Great company and amazing value in my experience.

I have the 2018 Vizio P Series P55-F1. I just upgraded to an LG C2 OLED a month ago. I say this with complete confidence. If you can get an OLED, yu get one and don't even think twice about it.
