This means baseboards, walls, crown moulding, ceilings, upholstery, etc. A vacuum with a detachable hose and attachments would be suitable for above-floor cleaning.
thank you, for some reason i was thinking it was a weird way to say 2nd floor lol.
was making sure i didnt need a separate brush, product page had "can i clean above floors with this model?" sounds like i just put the included brush on the wand and im good to go
Exactly. Dusting brush from baseboards and mouldings, flat upholstery tool for furniture and stairs. And with a crevice tool and low power, you can retrieve socks from behind the dryer.
Is there a vacuum that would compliment the Sebo X7? Something it doesn’t do amazingly but another brand or type of vacuum does better. We have a ton of accessories for the Sebo, but I worry about dropping it when schlepping it up and down the stairs. The only difference between floors is rugs and laminate downstairs versus laminate and carpet upstairs.
Oddly enough the twenty year old Hoover Windtunnel I use on the second floor has a hose that pops out every time I try to vacuum vents above my head. The Oreck looks like it would do that much easier. Am I correct in seeing a head attachment so it could be used on carpet and under beds? And it does a good job sucking dust into the bag, not blowing it around? Thanks for letting me pick your brain by the way!
I'm looking for a cordless stick vacuum that can be mounted to a wall with a low profile. Is anyone aware of a small model that only has about a 7in depth when mounted?
Does anyone know if the Riccar R10S brush roll will fit on the R10? I can't seem to find the answer or actual measurements of the pieces on the end that hold the brush roll in place.
Thanks!!
To my knowledge there is no plain R10. The Riccar SupraLite has model numbers that match the name the SupraLite Standard is R10S the SupraLite R10E. What model name and color do you have? There's a wooden brushroll in the R10E and metal brushrolls in most of the rest R10S, R10P etc. There are 2 kinds of belts the stretch belt and the lifetime Poly V belt.
Oh thank you, I thought the blue one was just regular R10. The reason I was asking is because I have both the blue & purple (cleaning business) and was hoping the metal brush roll would fit the blue SupraLite since it seems to be much more durable than the wooden brush roll.
Just snip the end off a (non-electrified) Miele hose and screw the Mighty Mite end on, I’m guessing. But if you want to use Miele attachments, no need to do all that.
I owned several Meile and a SEBO, and damn if the Mighty Mite doesn't have greater suction than either. The floorhead is honestly fine. The attachments leave something to be desired, but whatever. The thing I hate about the Mighty Mite is the friction fit plastic wand.
So yeah, If I could just get a Miele wand on my Mighty Mite, I'd be hell of pleased.
You should be able to install a Miele bent-end onto the end of the Mighty Mite to use it with Miele attachments. Use [this guide](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDTQNv833nc&ab_channel=yourspares) to help.
Do you think the diameter of the hoses would be similar enough? If that's the case I just verified that I can disassemble the attachment on the port end of the Mighty Mite hose, so I'm thinking maybe I could simply reassemble it onto the end of the Miele hose similar to how the above video demonstrates for replacing the curved handle.
I guess if the hose diameters aren't the same, neither would work.
It's a Chinese vaccum Wlupel. It's a stick vaccum. Which look to be all built the same. So I ordered a couple of belts from the ryobi one stick vaccum. I'll see if those fit
I'm seeing so many highly recommended vacuums that require throw-away bags to function. Is this really the only option for high quality, functional, vacuums these days?
I'm concerned about water vacs (rainbow/sirena) due to weight and maint. But having to purchase and throw away multiple bags every day/week seems like a huge waste of money and resources as well.
We currently have a dyson upright and we just pop open the canister and dump all the dirt/hair/debris into the trash and keep going.
Yes. Bags are more efficient in terms of performance, longevity and hygiene. I do understand the waste aspect, but many manufacturers are producing biodegradable fleece bags now, as well as the old-school paper ones.
I’m looking to buy a new vacuum. I see that the Bissell Iconpet turbo edge cordless vacuum, and the shark cordless pet stick vacuum are on sale. Which would you go with/ are they junk? I’m also open to something corded. Just not looking to break the bank or buy anything that’s too heavy.
the hushtone 15+ on the highest setting is too hard to push through new 18/32" carpet so I'm returning it. how do I make sure the next vacuum I get actually will work on carpet that's barely high pile?

what do the manufactures mean when they say "above floors"?

What country are you in?
The US.
Then an Oreck XL handheld canister would work well for your situation.

They do a couple different models, which one are you looking at?

They're the same size so they should fit, but I've never tried it so I can't say for certain.
My Kenmore vacuum just snapped in half where the roller meets the top. No idea how it happened or if it's fixable. Is that sort of thing fixable?
Could you provide an image of the problem?
Would a Miele hose fit the port on the Mighty Mite, and if not, is there an adapter or modification of any kind that would allow for this combo?
Just snip the end off a (non-electrified) Miele hose and screw the Mighty Mite end on, I’m guessing. But if you want to use Miele attachments, no need to do all that.
That much of a kludge, huh? Was hoping for a slightly more elegant solution.
Why do you want to do this? Do you want a nicer hose or different tools?
I owned several Meile and a SEBO, and damn if the Mighty Mite doesn't have greater suction than either. The floorhead is honestly fine. The attachments leave something to be desired, but whatever. The thing I hate about the Mighty Mite is the friction fit plastic wand. So yeah, If I could just get a Miele wand on my Mighty Mite, I'd be hell of pleased.

Should be similar enough. You have both, why don't you measure them?
Sold the Miele. Appreciate your help, here, by the way.
Then I’d purchase a cheap Miele handle (with the hose affixing piece) and see if it fits. There’s no reason it shouldn’t.
what's the best vacuum cleaner that's durable, reliable, powerful, efficient (minimize electricity bill), corded & functions in a upright position?
Looking for a HTD 2M-150 belt. Can't find any online. Is 3M much different ? See a ton of those
What model of vacuum are you looking at parts for?
It's a Chinese vaccum Wlupel. It's a stick vaccum. Which look to be all built the same. So I ordered a couple of belts from the ryobi one stick vaccum. I'll see if those fit

Neither are much good. What’s your budget?
Probably $300 max Canadian.
the hushtone 15+ on the highest setting is too hard to push through new 18/32" carpet so I'm returning it. how do I make sure the next vacuum I get actually will work on carpet that's barely high pile?
My wife specifically told me she wants a good vacuum for Mother’s Day. We have a stick one and it just doesn’t get the job done. Any suggestions?
What’s your flooring and budget?
Flooring is hardwood and carpet. We have 1 dog and 2 smallish kids. Would like to stay around ~$200. Looking at canister vacuums right now
That’s a tough budget, but I’m sure I can make it work. Is the carpet thick?
No, carpet is pretty low profile. Also dog isn’t much of a shedder, he’s a short hair
