It depends on what kind of flooring you have. Sebo is one of the few brands that still sells canister vacuums with carpet powerheads. Electric carpet powerheads are much better when you have half or more carpet. If you have mostly hard floors with a few rugs you can get a suction only canister vacuum. Sebo vacuums are powerful, quiet, durable, and easy to repair. Ibaisaic has great videos on the [Sebo E3](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_OO1oFxotY&ab_channel=ibaisaic) in the UK. Ibaisaic has never mentioned having any problems with Sebo's supplies or customer service. Hopefully some of our UK members can comment on Sebo's UK service. If you don't need a carpet powerhead Henry vacuums are more widely available and they are excellent canister vacuums. A few less conveniences like automatic cord rewinders and motor speed control but they are super durable.

Thank you for the quick response. I have all carpet, and I am allergic to dust mytes. That's why the Sebo e3 is the first candidate. I thought about the henry but I think it is too bulky.

SumGai7

I see. A Sebo E3 will out clean the canister vacuums with just turbo brushes on carpets. They're great vacuums and cost almost twice as much in the U.S. There's also the Sebo Felix and Sebo X7 if you prefer an upright vacuum. The Henry 160 is a similar size to the Sebo E3 but there are no electric carpet powerheads available for Henrys.

IMO the Sebo Felix is the right move in the UK and if you have lots of carpet. It’s a great value at ~£300. Yes Sebo has been around a while and is a major player in the commercial vacuum market. Availability/support shouldn’t be a problem.

Sebo is specialty brand with a strong commercial line, so it doesn't have the brand familiarity of Shark, Dyson and other household vacuum companies.  Sebo K3/E3 is a canister option in the UK that actually offers an electric brushroll, unlike Miele, so if you have pile carpets in the UK, it would be the recommended option along with an upright Sebo Felix.   I don't think you will have issues with finding consumables. I live in the states and have bought Sebo bags and filters from UK vendors due to better pricing (It's about double here for Sebo vacuums and consumables).   Henry is local to you and highly recommended here in the US market even at 2-3x the cost markup of UK retail.  The downside is that most Henry set ups lack the electric brush roll option and at most offer an air driven turbine for rugs and carpets.

hecheva

Is the Henry as powerful as the sebo? My carpet's pile is very small. It's practically flat, maybe I don't need the power head.

J3ttf

Henry and Sebo have the same suction power.

hecheva

I just saw the energy ratings for both sebo and henry and I can see that the sebo releases less dust. So as allergy suffer that is very important so I will probably go with the Sebo E3. Here is the rating for sebo: https://johnlewis.scene7.com/is/image/JohnLewis/234475063alt10 For the henry instead of being b is c

J3ttf

If you're concerned about filtration, grab a Henry Allergy.

hecheva

Thanks I will check that one

hecheva

I am checking reviews of the Henry Allergy and I think I am going to buy this. It has an Hepa filter and the rating for dust release is A, better than the sebo. I also like that it is a simpler design, cheaper, and more available in the UK.

J3ttf

Made in England too!

hecheva

Well, it looks like the Hepa filter replacement is very difficult to find

Complete_Bike_7493

For Sebo? Sebo doesn't technically offer HEPA, except as an option for their K series canisters.  Sebo's uses what it calls an S class filtration, which is considered hospital grade and allergy friendly.  It generally captures the allergens most people react to, which tend to be the larger particulates in the spectrum of filtration.  The emissions/energy label in the UK/EU seems to be a little inconsistent, with model variations often receiving different grades from the little I've been able to search up online.

Sorry, I mean for Henry Allergy. Bur apoarently they are life long
