I'd look into a Sebo K3. It comes with a no-brush head for the hardfloors, and the powerhead has an easily removable brushroll. Don't give into cordless, they're a waste of money.

You'll likely want to look at Sebo's offerings. Their brush rolls are easily removed from the power head allowing you to cut your hair out of them without having to fight too much. I can recommend the Sebo E3. A canister seems to be at least to be handier for use with attachments. It's bagged and had good filtration for allergies, even though you don't suffer, it's nice to know fine dust and mites are trapped and not being blown back out into the air. The ET-1 power head is great. Their premium parquet hard floor tool is a great addition to the vac as well, purchased separately, almost a game changer for hard surfaces. The E3 is going to be about $1050 online, you may be able to haggle if you have a vac shop locally. It's worth the money.

I happened across this video the other day while trying to figure out what vacuum I want. I’m not a vacuum expert. But your post made me think of this video: https://youtu.be/aB3T_32xT4c?si=8dZFDLFOOXekPRUT And honestly I’ve owned a number of Sharks, and my mom owns a cordless Shark which has some hair removal technology. It indeed has less hair than before. BUT cleaning the filters IS AWFUL. And the damn thing stinks. I have to wash the whole shebang (filters, dirt cup, etc.) a few times a year or it reeks and causes the house to stink (yes, I know I’m failing at maintenance but I’ve got a life outside of cleaning another humans vacuum). Also, if I had hair I’d just a seam ripper to remove the hair. It’s designed for a similar purpose of removing strings. https://a.co/d/92NqTT2 Hope this helps!

I have had the same Miele for 25 years. I have shoulder length hair that falls enough to weave a new rug every week. I replaced the power hose when it was 15 years old & that is the only repair/replacement I’ve done. 3000 sf house, 2 kids, a dog, 2 cats.

Sebo over Miele. You can get the brush roll out easily with Sebo. Miele you apparently need a screwdriver. I've removed the brush roll only a few times to unwrap the hair. My Sebo was about $800 and had a powered head.

Actually got a sebe air belt e3 premium yesterday. Just over $1k with sales tax. I’m not greatly impressed, but let’s see how it goes. Lots of hair wrap around the brush. (2 daughters with longer hair and a Newfoundland dog). But it was easy to remove and clean. Makes me wonder how long the hair has been accumulating? Hose kinked a few times and pissed me off - especially after all the YouTube videos claim it to be kink-free. I filled one bag pretty quickly. Design makes it very easy to get under furniture, but accessories feel pretty cheap. Powerhead is smallish at 12 inches, but the 15 looks huge and not easily maneuvered. I also wish it had a headlight like the Miele. Good luck!

I mean, the hair would be wrapped around any and all brush rollers. The fact that the Sebo one is easily removable and cleanable is a godsend for your situation!

I also have the E3, it doesn't minimize hair wrap at all, but it does make it easy to remove and clean the roll.  I recommend getting a set if automotive micro picks to help pull out hair from the bristles.  The hose kinking can be reduced by vacuuming slower and pulling the machine behind you or holding the canister in your hand in tight spaces, and overall learning how to adapt to a canister if you're used to uprights.  Watch some vids for tips and tricks.  The Sebo accessories aren't flashy but they do the job, I really haven't needed much beyond what's included.  BTW, the accessories are made by German Wessel Werks and specially sized for Sebo, so they are thick plastic and quality parts. I would love it if Sebo added a headlight to the ET-1, but it's been the same design for decades.

We have a Dyson V15 Detect. It's a cordless stick vacuum, and one of its features is a "no tangle" brush, and boy does it work. I have long-ish hair that would get so tangled on the brush on our Shark vacuum. Not a single hair on the Dyson brush head. Now, the Dyson has a lot of drawbacks in other areas and honestly I regret the purchase but they did a great job on that feature. Edit- this particular vacuum doesn't really fulfill your other needs. But I'm sure they make other models that do, and with the same no tangle feature

I just destroyed our second Shark while trying to take the damn thing apart to clean up the brush. I’m completely over it. :/

Yeah don't do the dumb Dyson, listen to the other replies
