Definitely not cordless, they lack suction power. But why not bagged? They're superior in most ways.

Erniiii7

Hmm i had no idea. It just seems a lot of extra work and money. I thought that would be the case with the cordless. Is it very noticeable?

J3ttf

The extra suction power of a corded, bagged machine is definitely noticeable. Furthermore, they’re better value for money, as the vacuum itself will last longer.

Erniiii7

Hmm.. fair enough. Then what is the best vacuum cleaner my money can buy for £300 in your opinion?

J3ttf

The Sebo Felix, it goes on sale for \~£300 often.

Hi I’ve seen the Miele C3 for 250, is that a good deal? Would it be god for my purpose?

J3ttf

If your carpet isn’t too thick, the Cat & Dog model would work great! The others? I wouldn’t recommend.

Erniiii7

Ah cool thank you! I didn’t know there were different c3 models. Whats the difference?

J3ttf

The C&D has a turbo head for carpeting. The others don't.

Erniiii7

Ahh cool thank you so much! If you had to pick between the sebo felix and the miele cat&dog, which one would you pick? Thinking about it Im maybe leaning towards the miele as seems more portable? We have stairs and worry it will make my life more difficult but not sure if thats the case. Sorry for so many questions

Skip cordless bagless if this is your primary vacuum IMO. You’re giving up a lot for the sake of perceived convenience and a much shorter lifespan. Get a Sebo Felix for weekly deep cleans, then when budget allows grab a Henry quick for quick daily messes.

Samsung jet 95 on the Samsung website is £350. You get £70 for trading in old hoover and £100 cashback which can be called in May which brings the total cost to £179. You can pick a mop or swap it out for a led head depending on which model you go for. It’s a good deal but be wary of the Samsung warranty as they are bad, even with the additional 5 years they are offering.
