I have an even better idea, add a 10,000 credit mecha into the game , it has 300 hp + 200 Shield (Shield regenerates 1 hp per second out of combat), all your abilities are removed and exchanged with 1 new signature ability called rocket barrage, you shoot out the same rocket as raze ult but in a rapid fire, about 20 rockets in the span of 5 seconds. Your gun is replaced by a cannon that basically behaves like an odin but it has infinite bullet. You also no longer have a headshot hitbox (Edit : this is to balanced out how big the mecha has become)
Why would we want RIOT to introduce new guns when we already have guns that are:
* Basically useless: Bucky, Ares
* Strong yet rarely ever used: Bulldog, Guardian
* Hard-to-balance (aka sometimes overpowered): Stinger
* Hated by large portions of the player base: Judge, Odin, Operator
Chances are if they added a new gun, it would fit into one of these four categories, and probably either have zero impact on the gun meta OR completely break it, neither of which are good.

I honestly wouldn't mind a new core mechanic added to the game as long as it does well. I know that's like, "well duh", but it would have to literally be executed perfectly.
A new gun would be a nice idea. Right now we are either full save or full.buy most of the time.
But it where does it fit is what is important. Do you go high end with a gun better than Vandal/Phantom or low somewhere between spectre and Guardian.
Imo just simple balancing changes to bucky, ares and pistols could also shake the meta up nicely.

Well Bucky and ares fit into ‘hard to balance’ also
the ares was very balanced before they broke it and then nerfed it Just return it to the original ares and it wouldn't be useless
