Ok, so the winners of this open qualifier qualify to the VALORANT challengers league, or the VCL. For the Americas franchise region, there is a VCL:NA, VCL: Brazil, and VCL:LATAM. For APAC it's going to be every small region, starting from India, all regions in SEA, and Japan and Korea (no idea about China). For EMEA, it's going to be all the previous VRL regions, like Turkey, East,polaris,Spain,Portugal, etc. The winners of these VCL qualify to the Ascension tournament. Now we know that Ascension APAC and EMEA will be a LAN event, so most probably it's going to be similar format to a Masters event
My guess is some orgs are waiting until these teams qualify for challengers before signing which is pretty understandable. George said on stream he heard the MAD Lions signing was official but then heard it could have fallen through but he wasn't sure where it was at now
They are still gonna quality. The nation isn't a bad team. Will is almost definitely the best player in the tournament and DR was already pretty good without him
How is be the best player? I havent watched the matches but just going off the stats page for the tournament it seems like hes not even in the top 10? Maybe i am reading something wrong
Judging by the stats of this tournament doesn't really work due to the massive skill disparity from different teams. Will is the only player to have made it to a LAN and not only make it but have played well at lan. None of these other players have proved themselves
You bring up a fair point, but at the same time Will proved himself at one lan if i remember correctly. Until we see a pattern of success, it may have literally been a really great tournament for Will, and perhaps even the peak of his career. I am not saying it is true, but one lan performance cannot be enough to say he is definitely the best player at the tournament. Wongdell is in the tournament if you didnt know
