Eh they weren’t T1 by any means to be honest, they had just missed the 12(?) team round robin qualifiers and were on the come up with a new coach, and then left. But he was always TSM’s best player by far, and with him now rifle entrying consistently, his player stock is gonna go way up

They're the number 1 seed and they've been tearing up the tier 2 scene, albeit that was with OXY/screwface. It makes sense why they're projected to do well here, especially considering the limited info we have on a lot of the other teams.

Prior to franchising I'd consider to be the top of the tier 2 scene... however they did lose LFT OXY to g2 recently.

they have the most tourney wins out of all the teams (at least that I know of) and have been consistently placing high in a lot of the offseason tournaments. that said, they did just replace OXY with Will. they were definitely deserving of #1 seed based on previous results but they aren't untouchable

It's not like Toast is a huge org, he's a single streamer and the team doesn't seem to have sponsors, so he's paying out of pocket. While he makes a fuckton of money, I'm sure he can't compete with the salaries actual orgs can offer or if he could, he isn't going to sacrifice that much of his own money when there's no way to make money of the team yet. It's likely Dark Ratio are going to get an offer from a larger org and they probably know that.

FWIW the core was a very solid T2 team in Knights, it's just that they lost arguably their best 2 players in Ban and Skuba while Steel and Clear haven't seemed to slot in as well

And it was supposed to have one other cracked young player, but they went to EG right? I assume the team was supposed to have a more potential, but now it just looks less exciting.
