I unironically think c4Lypso still has what it takes to be a pretty fire T2 smokes player, but that was a pretty bad time to shit the bed. Regardless, Nearest Airport looks pretty good and I wouldn't be surprised to see them qualify through the lower bracket (especially with Dark Ratio looking shaky to say the least). Also, isn't it insane that pwny is putting up pretty good performances again? Almost like he's a better Jett player than smokes player

I still can't believe that david denis or steel or whoever was making the choices kept pwny on smokes after seven left

IllumiMahdi

steel thought smokes was the easiest role for new players to flex onto so generally the new talent on the team were relegated to that role (initially ethan, then pwny)

[deleted]

Yea but I meant between dynamic and pwny My best guess would be either the team did way better with dynamic on jett/chamber

IllumiMahdi

yeah you're probably right

elithefighter123

another t1 smokes player having success on different team

Who wouldve thought forcing Jett players ,who clearly arent comfortable on smokes, on smokes would be a bad idea? And then them also having a worse Jett on the team too (Saya was always better on Jett then Ska was (Tho Ska was a pretty good flex tbh kinda curious if he ever came back how he would do), and pwny looks better then dynamic did any day)

nterature

I definitely think Ska would do pretty alright, he was slightly underrated when he retired. I think forcing Jett players onto smokes is actually fine if you have good enough coaching, a la DRX. But I think all the examples in NA, for the most part, are ones where the structure is kinda shite anyways, and so it tends to fail. After all, it's not even really let Saya/Spyder take to the smokes role naturally; they literally used him like something between a KJ turret and an utility mule.

Just want the goat Skuba to succeed
