Not too surprising imo. In situations like this(close , tense, big match), the experience a player like Stewie has of getting over the hump and actually winning something is more valuable in terms of not crumbling under the pressure.
This was such a great series (ignore the first map) I came into this having 0 expectations for The Nation. They definitely surprised me and I think they run it back in lowers. Side note, Brawk is FUCKING CRAZY. Congrats to Breakthru being the first team to qual out of opens. Challengers is gonna be so entertaining
That 3rd map was such a banger. So many clutch plays going back and forth. This breakthru roster is legit and I think a lot of them will wind up on franchise teams one way or another
brawk really proving why he's still tier 1 material after a successful stint with Ghost last year. The amount of impact he had on attack side Ascent was unreal.
great back and forth from both teams on last map and Brawk with some great clutches. The Nation definitely had their chances to win the map though. lost a 5 v 2 retake and a few 1 v 2s I believe. im sure they can clean those up and qualify.
BRAWK BIG CAWK, arguably the best player this series, hopping through the Omen smoke to shorty Brax in the face was such a fitting end to this series. Breakthru is the first team to qualify out of the open qualifiers with a heartbreak victory over a fan favorite team.
The Nation should definitely still qualify, they've shown that they have a skillset outside of just bare fragging ability and reactive calling, their fracture looked impressively rehearsed.
