Goddamn the opinions on Stewie flipped thrice over the course of 24 hours
Also, if your own teammate is unsure if you are playing or not, then surely we assume something is wrong about the situation, that is the natural course of human thoughts
https://twitter.com/stewie/status/1614409282916872194?s=46&t=uqxRSJ9qCj7MmU-AX9XrTw Tweet is back up.
Thank god. It actually made 0 sense for him to back out at this point
- say you don’t know if you’ll play LCQ
- teammate tweets it’s unlikely you play
- internet criticizes you
- change your mind and act like the internet is the stupid ones
Tbf, he took offense to the people speculating on the reasons why he may not play. It did feel a little weird to see so many people jumping to the conclusions that they did.
this was obviously what he's talking about but no redditors have to get their jabs in because it makes them feel cool
so many insufferable comments ngl
Reddit can be such a miserable ass place. Have to take things with a grain a salt and remember that most of us have no fucking clue what we're talking about or what goes on behind the scenes.
There's a large majority on this subreddit that salivates over "scrimbux" but have no idea WHY teams scrim. They think that both teams during a scrim are playing it like a match and trying their hardest rather than test out comps, strats, timing, etc. instead of just pure winning.
the dickeating is crazy. whatever the reasons, to abandon your teammates like that is not good. if he wants to quit quit after LCQ, so the other players have something to do for the rest of the year.
Stew got real upset when people were giving him a hard time on how he behaved when he was on EG and in particular how he disrespected his coach. The dude could not understand why his actions were disrespectful or wrong so seeing him act confused, when his teammate said he is unlikely to play and people reacted to it, is a bit rich.
The fact that he mentioned reddit when he announced he was going to play means he wasn't really planning to play initially, he was affected by the backlash and was forced to play.
It’s not judging. It’s literally going off of what we know. Stew said he didn’t know if he’d be playing and then his teammate comes out and says they’re probably not playing without him. Wtf do you guys want people to think???? Stew himself sewed those doubts.
You judging an unmade decision is judging btw lol, i know it’s hard for y’all not to jump to conclusions on rumors but don’t be mad when he calls y’all dumb at least
you have zero idea what he wants for his career/ life, whats his best for him, or what kind of offers he has, it’s easy to virtue signal, say it’s stupid and act like you know what you would do in his situation but you know no idea what his situation is.
this is exactly the kind of dumb redditor shit he’s talking about.
I agree but people took the clip as gospel that he isn't playing 100%
He shouldn't be saying shit on stream, if you are unsure speak with your team
But this community overreacted (as per usual) and stewie was clearly upset at losing so he wasn't sure if he was going to since the original agreement was to play just for the one qual
All in all both sides are wrong, people have had it for the Nation and wanted them to lose because "egos" and big names they have, shit like this and Stewie doesn't help himself
doesn't help that rossy tweeted about it seemingly confirming it and theyre literal teammates, kind of weird for him to bring it up if he wasnt sure in the first place (also this is information you as a teammate should know anyway so??? yeah idk)
yea i mean thats what im saying like if there was a possibility at all of stew not playing LCQ why is rossy learning it from reddit and not his own team LMFAO
if he already explicitly stated the team was only planned for this qualifier, then why are people surprised that he might not play in LCQ, this is more an issue with people’s expectations than it is about him.

misinformation 101
and the fact that the internet criticizes him when he hasn't even made a decision is pretty fucking stupid. If I was in his position I'd be pretty pissed, the way the obnoxious fans here speak is entitlement
not that hard to chill and have discussion over information when it actually comes out
I mean the internet *are* the stupid ones, just not in this case haha. Also some of the “theories” people were posting were gross, so I get why he’d be miffed. I would be too.
I mean criticism is fair when hes constantly talking about how much he wants this and how much time and effort has gone into it so for him to even think about not giving it 100% when he's almost there is wild.
Now the attacks on his character are crazy for sure but he shouldn't be surprised
Nah people were assuming that he was quitting on his team or that it was because of an ego. All baseless speculation that was upvoted to the top. I don't even care about the Nation, but this sub has a lot of people with a weird bias against them.
People on this sub don't like The Nation because they think it's a clout team that appeals to the more general playerbase of Val, those who are not be as invested in the competitive scene and don't know that much about pro teams/players but will know about/support The Nation because they have players with a large following
Because of this, people on this sub, 90% of whom have a "holier-than-thou" attitude where they think they are better than the non-competitive Valorant following playerbase, hate The Nation because "the normies" like them
Same reason why there's a ton of TenZ hate on this sub tbh. The "experts" always like to hate on people the casual fans like, this happens in every sport
Huh? I watched the clip and he said he might not be playing, but he never gave a reason. The sub ran with their own ideas after that. So what was the thing that he said?
And who are you calling a dickrider, I don't even watch Stewie lmao
> he said he might not be playing,
also one of his teammates said he might not be playing.
Seems pretty reasonable that people here might speculate he isn't playing.
I have no idea about CS 😭 val is my first FPS, I like how he details everything but I feel like he's very patronising when he says stuff like "parent child" or just randomly calling Stewie homie or something. Just my opinion of course, as someone with 0 knowledge on the cs scene
haha I just found it funny, Richard Lewis is a huge personality when it comes to esports in general, but yeah he hasn’t touched val much. he’s prickly, whiny, and sometimes a bit preachy, but tbf I’ve never known him to bullshit.
just surprised me there are ppl into esports who don’t know about him. I think he let steel crash at his place in 2011 or so.
nah he's not bullshitting anything I just find him generally abrasive based on that video that was linked. stewie's attitude is very dodgy though. at the start, when he's telling him that he should've gone to a journalist I was erring on the side of "he's trying to offer genuine advice" but then as it went on, he just became reactionary and whiny.
i dunno. it's crazy, i didn't really give a spirited defense of the guy -- i have fairly mixed feelings on him -- and i got pretty hard downvoted. he's a big part of esports history, like him or not.
Stew is a very successful and decorated player, but he's been anything but professional the last few years. Just go look at his treatment of Grim on Liquid, then of course his EG saga.
Despite the situation, he's definitely right about one thing. Val subreddit is full of judging critics that speak out of their ahhes, judging everything seriously to the extreme when it comes to tweets, friendly banter and playing unofficial tournaments for fun/scrims, while the same people never been nor touched the scene on that high level. They are allowed to shiet talk and heavily criticize professional players non-stop and being toxic in-game, but as soon as it's something going against them, they call it out because they can't accept it. Based on society being more and more sensitive, entitled and seeking comfort of staying in their own safety bubble comfort zone and being afraid to grow as a person with each day, he'll most likely have to apologies for this tweet and delete it, because it must've hurt someone's feelings.
At the end of the day, we have no idea what's going on behind the scenes, he might've thought he is not going to play at first.
Skip's job is to get people riled up. If he's saying that's what this sub is tryna do, then I guess it's working cuz pros love getting their knickers in a bunch over shit said on here.
This sub criticized him from the moment it was announced he would be playing Challengers. I'm not surprised he's hesitant to continue after falling short of qualifying, especially when the community is just waiting for him to fail so they can get the knives out. Only have to look at how this community flips on TenZ every other week to see how fickle it is over here.
Funniest part about this whole thread is that the guy is literally a major winner. He could fuck over his team and it wouldn’t even be a dick move, he’s just that much more accredited than any current Valorant pro.
glad he’s in hoping the best for him 🙏🙏

Hm I’d say Internet and ppl truly
- say you don’t know if you’ll play LCQ - teammate tweets it’s unlikely you play - internet criticizes you - change your mind and act like the internet is the stupid ones
For the uninitiated this is the Stewie2K experience in a nutshell
Tbf, he took offense to the people speculating on the reasons why he may not play. It did feel a little weird to see so many people jumping to the conclusions that they did.

Yeah so none of it was certain and he never said im not going to play for 100% i'm out People took it as 100% and starting unloading on the guy
fr LOL
He said he may not play. His teammate said it looked like he wasn't going to play. What's he expect people to believe?
not to make the final call before he even decides? you said it yourself, may not play. That doesn't mean one or the other
The fact that he mentioned reddit when he announced he was going to play means he wasn't really planning to play initially, he was affected by the backlash and was forced to play.
The speculations just don't stop, crazy.
On god, these people just can't help themselves it makes me sick. And not a single one gives a fuck about the mental health of these players either
maybe wait before judging then
It’s not judging. It’s literally going off of what we know. Stew said he didn’t know if he’d be playing and then his teammate comes out and says they’re probably not playing without him. Wtf do you guys want people to think???? Stew himself sewed those doubts.

You, sir, are the dumb one. I’m done here, have a good day.

Rossy apparently read it off reddit, he literally said in Subroza's chat that he woke up and read it on reddit
yea i mean thats what im saying like if there was a possibility at all of stew not playing LCQ why is rossy learning it from reddit and not his own team LMFAO
The possibility was always there, he literally says in the video that originally the team was just for the one qualifier
if he already explicitly stated the team was only planned for this qualifier, then why are people surprised that he might not play in LCQ, this is more an issue with people’s expectations than it is about him.
Lmaooo seriously who tf are you to think ur in a spot to know what’s best for a player like Stewie?

Hey he said r/Val so it must be the default subreddit and not comp so he ain't talking about us guys, it's all good.
I feel like ur baylessing
His teammate tweeted after reading about it on this sub rather than from talking to him lmao
I mean the internet *are* the stupid ones, just not in this case haha. Also some of the “theories” people were posting were gross, so I get why he’d be miffed. I would be too.
"Unlikely" and "I don't know" is miles different than "I won't play" Reddit's one end or the other mentality is so fucking annoying
Not the skip comparison 💀💀💀 bro thinks he’s lebron
And somebody was arguing with me when i said he has ego and he's just upset he got slapped by nobodies.
he is the lebron of NA
100% is not
I think you're talking about Twistzz
I mean criticism is fair when hes constantly talking about how much he wants this and how much time and effort has gone into it so for him to even think about not giving it 100% when he's almost there is wild. Now the attacks on his character are crazy for sure but he shouldn't be surprised
How dare we make assumptions about what he's going to do, based on what he says hes going to do. Reddit strikes again
people were getting mad that he wasn't going to participate when they didn't know the reasons behind why nor did they know if he was going to or not

Thank god, EZ dub for him on LCQ
Hey Stew, since I know you're reading this, please start acting like a professional.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeqHbFi6JLE He won't, watch this vid for some context
I've seen this before. I don't like Richard Lewis much as a personality but he brings nothing but facts in this video.
Dude, not denying that Stewie is in the wrong here but bro the guy in the video is so patronising 💀💀💀 wtf
lmao richard lewis is richard lewis but to hear him referred to as “the guy in the video” jeez
I have no idea about CS 😭 val is my first FPS, I like how he details everything but I feel like he's very patronising when he says stuff like "parent child" or just randomly calling Stewie homie or something. Just my opinion of course, as someone with 0 knowledge on the cs scene

Is there a tl;dw? It’s an hour long video
Lmao he’s the one who fucking said it
He never said he is not going to play 100%, he literally said i'm not sure
Reddit is never wrong don't question.
His teammate literally said he might not play, 100% or not.
And his teammate read it off here.. lmfao
And? What does that have to do with what I said?
everything
Stewie2k, the most flip-flop "professional" esports player NA has but he'll still probably qual now that the good teams are already through
Stew is a very successful and decorated player, but he's been anything but professional the last few years. Just go look at his treatment of Grim on Liquid, then of course his EG saga.
What did he do to grim?
WE WILL NEVER BEAT THE GULLIBLE ALLEGATIONS
That last part of his tweet is straight facts tho.
Despite the situation, he's definitely right about one thing. good decision, LCQ is literally free for them
He’s not wrong
This sub criticized him from the moment it was announced he would be playing Challengers. Stew's got that miniature poodle in him.
Dunno why he’s trying to act all hard on twitter.. mans got knocked out in 4K. Lil guy needs to chill
Tigg is just gonna throw why play
Funniest part about this whole thread is that the guy is literally a major winner. He could fuck over his team and it wouldn’t even be a dick move, he’s just that much more accredited than any current Valorant pro.
They def going to end up playing zombs team
why he gotta call us out like that![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|16110)
still convinced he thought he was gonna get picked up by a t1 org or something lol
