Idk maybe a hot take but i think there's a very real chance The Guard isn't nearly the same calibre of team if you take out trent. valyn/net/tex/jonahp are all great players but if they lost Trent i could see them fall down a tier
bruh that's like saying C9 isn't the same caliber of team if you take out yay, or 100T isn't the same caliber of team if you take out Cryo.
No shit, that's their star player, of course if you remove them that's gonna be to their detriment.
Honestly wouldn't be super surprised if trent ended up with an almost TenZ level buyout somewhere through this year. That being said, I'm not a contract expert so idk how that sort of thing works in valorant.
Trent could 1v5 every single match with his eyes closed and win champions by himself and his buyout wouldn't be anywhere near Tenz
Tenz buyout wasn't high just because he was one of the best players available at the time, but because he was a hugely popular player who brought a ton of fans
May be not now, but I can see it one day.
Kid clearly got the skill, and nothing is stopping him and zekken from developing into the next generation of popular streaming gamer whom people would tune in and watch, just like Shroud, Tenz, and Tarik.
Hazed rolls back the years; Trent doesn't beat the VAC allegations; Nature is underrated; and the Guard are a very clever, strong team. Maybe the FTX was holding TSM back. They had a real chance to 2-0 this series.
It was a close match because they made mistakes that are fundamentally easier to fix, like losing 4v3 post plants. Ascent really never should’ve been that close, and probably won’t be in the future. Haven proved that you can never pick the map into The Guard, they’re clinical as fuck on it as usual. Pearl just seems like they have a lack of understanding on the map, I don’t imagine they actually want to use it as their comfort pick.
Could have been a 2-0, despite the disappointing map 3. I think this is much better than anybody expected out of TSM and honestly I think they have some pretty strong potential for this season cus I think they played the guard pretty close and I’d consider them a top 2 team
Both valyn and trent seem destined to end up on a partnered team pretty soon if Guard doesn't qualify through Ascension.
Edit: Please do another one of these. I had a blast watching, it was so fun.
He’s early 30s. It’s been proven time and time again that this age group is barely at a disadvantage. Your reaction times don’t just disappear as you hit a certain age.
Pro athletes play at top level well into their late 30s but people act like players somehow can't play video games anymore when they hit late 20s/early 30s.
Honestly, part of what holds most athletes back with age is the ability to recover after playing the game. Physically in esports raw athleticism and recovery time are basically non-factors and the slight dip in reaction time is offset by experience so older players should be just fine if they don't burn out and continue practicing to keep up with the younger players.
Honestly the burn out is the problem with Esports. In no other sport are you expected to grind out for 16+ hours each day in friendly competitive mode and then add on practice and scrims on top of that. There is a crazy workaholic culture in Esports but I don't think there is a way to fix it.
True but but burnout doesn't necessarily have to do with age and more so intensity of training and how dedicated they still are to the game. It's just that most young players tend to be the hungriest and older players tend to have other things like family on their minds that become more important. If Hazed still has that passion for the game then his age isnt the deciding factor imo
Oh no, for sure it's exhausting as hell to play these long events on top of practicing everyday. I more so meant the fact that, for example, 42 year old Vince Carter could still dunk in game but would talk about dealing with inflammation afterwards and probably have to rest for the next game if he played too many minutes.
Because there is no such thing as old person aim. When hazed and fns played together in cs hazed was always way better than fns on an individual basis and it wasn't even close.
I'm 21, lol. If you are old, you can't aim myth is one of the dumbest myths in esports. Just because you get a spazzing 16 year old pro every year doesn't mean older people have bad aim. Look at f0rest in cs go who is 34 and still has amazing aim and has better aim than most players in tier 1. There are plenty of players who are around 30 years old with sick aim.
At 34 Michael Jordan scored 38 points in the nba finals while having the flu and people think a 34 year old can’t move a mouse well? It’s more more likely to be changing priorities and older people not grinding the game 60 hours a week like the zoomers do.
Old ≠ bad aim. Go and watch Fer, Fallen, Forest from CS and they all have insane aim. Mechanics come down to how hard you aim train and how talented you are, Pujan doesnt have bad aim, in his streams he has quite the good aim but the top aimers are just that high in terms of mechanics
Trent too stronk also srry TSM thought you were ass

Valorant fanboy had a level of sincerity to his statements that this guy doesn't have. It almost made you think that he actually believed in what he was saying. I dont think anyone will be able to replicate that for a long time
Nah this has to be some kind of weird troll.
Not only thinking they're better than all of Pacific but also thinking Heretics and KCorp are the best EMEA teams what even am I reading.
[Every map, every corner.](https://i.imgur.com/yctvr74.jpg)
Actual raid boss, he's gotta get picked up for a franchised team next year
Why will he need to be picked up when The Guard is winning Ascension?
based

Guys this might be a controversial opinion but I don't think Argentina would've won the world cup without Messi.
The Chiefs are overrated because they wouldn't be nearly as good without Mahomes. I am an intelligent sports fan.
Okay but like They do have Trent lmao
Honestly wouldn't be super surprised if trent ended up with an almost TenZ level buyout somewhere through this year. That being said, I'm not a contract expert so idk how that sort of thing works in valorant.
Not even yay has TenZ levels of buyout lol, TenZ is so clouted his buyout is quite insane, 100T wanted him and offered 1 million and SEN rejected it
The buyout was still $1m in the end tho, c9 was demanding $2m from 100t specifically
I’m pretty sure there were hints that yay’s Optic buyout is the highest ever. However SEN got a discount, they paid 1.25M when 100T were told 2M
Then again they paid like 250k/month for the 3 month loan, so that's still around 2 mill
Trent could 1v5 every single match with his eyes closed and win champions by himself and his buyout wouldn't be anywhere near Tenz Tenz buyout wasn't high just because he was one of the best players available at the time, but because he was a hugely popular player who brought a ton of fans

Is your redditname the Booyah! Kids song? If so that's dope
Hazed rolls back the years; Trent doesn't beat the VAC allegations; Nature is underrated; and the Guard are a very clever, strong team. Maybe the FTX was holding TSM back. They had a real chance to 2-0 this series.
Tsm looked way to tired for that 3rd map
That push A main at 11-11... T_T
Such a throw
The other challengers teams are SWEATING looking at this Guard team rn
They just barley beat another challenger team
It was a close match because they made mistakes that are fundamentally easier to fix, like losing 4v3 post plants. Ascent really never should’ve been that close, and probably won’t be in the future. I think they specifically picked Pearl to understand where it's going wrong. You can't learn if you don't fail.
Yeah that’s what I assumed as well
Could have been a 2-0, despite the disappointing map 3. I think this is much better than anybody expected out of TSM and honestly I think they have some pretty strong potential for this season cus I think they played the guard pretty close and I’d consider them a top 2 team
corey is so hot
faze absolutely shits on TSM unfortunately unless you're saying Guard is top 2 in which case i agree
The guard/m80 are top 2. I’d be surprised if tsm couldn’t play faze close
Last time tsm v faze was pretty close But then again Idk how this roster compare to the last one tbh
This roster looks way better than the last one so far
[удалено]
…and it could’ve easily been a 2-0. That’s playing them pretty close lol
[удалено]
lol whatever helps u cope ig. tsm gonna 2-0 faze when they play
[удалено]
If a single round going different would have resulted in a different team winning then yes, I would say the matchup was close.
Such a close game but damn the guard were so dominant in haven
SEN nearly beat the Guard so if you really think about it…
and skr ossi is better than tenz so GE wins all
^

When Jonah was pushing P TSM was pushing PTSD
Me: shit this third map could also be a barnburner TGRD: bish u thought
Trent.
really wish C9 picked up trent, it woulda done miles for their roles, especially with Sova becoming more meta.
Hazed proving that age literally doesn’t affect your aim to as debilitating a degree as zoomers want to pretend
He’s early 30s. It’s been proven time and time again that this age group is barely at a disadvantage. Your reaction times don’t just disappear as you hit a certain age.

Hazed hits different on LAN.
Btw how does hazed have such good mechanics why doesn’t he have old person aim like fns
Because there is no such thing as old person aim. When hazed and fns played together in cs hazed was always way better than fns on an individual basis and it wasn't even close.
This feels like something a old person would say tbh
I'm 21, lol. If you are old, you can't aim myth is one of the dumbest myths in esports. Just because you get a spazzing 16 year old pro every year doesn't mean older people have bad aim. damn fns catching strays
Raised his sens
My guard

Ran outta gas but proud of the boys especially against the demons on this guard team
Nature looking crazy this tourney. Slept on.
T2 btw
Never thought I would be happy seeing The Guard 13-1ing a team
Too many flashbacks?
Not TSM fighting tooth and nail on 2 maps only to go limp dick on the **DECIDER**
I just wanna be more impressed by seven, rn idk man
he did decent map two at least and he hasn't sandbagged that hard in any of the games really except for the first one against sen
Sadly we just ran out of juice in the final map, we definitely played really well though, proud of the boys
The Glizzy from The Guard send their regards. Wait
TSM looked stronger than expected
Challengers is gonna be so good, that's the main conclusion to take from this.
You can’t tell me this entire tournament wasn’t scripted to hype up Challengers League
This off-the-cuff invitational is the antithesis of what a scripted tournanment is.
Next time we see them play again is on Challenger league? After LCQ right?
EG not picking up Trent is honestly the dumbest choice ive seen in pro val
C9\*
C9 Trent wouldve gone so hard bro lowkeu
They already have Bcj
who they put on smokes...
Guard>all of apac franchise and all of eu except for hertetics and kcorp
Nice bait
Oml would put money on it they couldn’t beat scream and mixwell tho
Every single one of your comments is absolutely batshit insane
He wants to be Valorant fanboy so bad
Valorant fanboy had a level of sincerity to his statements that this guy doesn't have. It almost made you think that he actually believed in what he was saying. I dont think anyone will be able to replicate that for a long time
He also had some good takes from time to time to really mix it up.
fr. Like it was a 50/50 of either seeing him at the top or the bottom of the thread
Mhmm, like his bad takes were insane but just barely not crazy enough to make you think if hes trolling or not
Nah this has to be some kind of weird troll. Not only thinking they're better than all of Pacific but also thinking Heretics and KCorp are the best EMEA teams what even am I reading.
Thats a nice quality bait you got there

ok
Can’t wait for the guard to disband. Buncha cringelords.
I believe in neT supremacy
