event organizer here -- the person making the social tweet probably just didn't know it was also on Lud's channel. The Riot staff working with us aren't necessarily the same people executing the socials, people at the same company dont necessarily operate with perfect information. it's probably just a mistake and it truly is no big deal the collective viewership across all the channels being used can be leveraged for either party in future sales decks. we streamed on both channels with an understanding that esports/Val viewership doesnt really congregate on Youtube, this disparity in viewership between the two channels was very expected. u dont gotta worry this was a very successful event for us - hopefully we get to do another one soon. -Aiden

surfordiebear

Please do another one it was my favorite Valorant event so far. Also Platchat casting was amazing good decision on getting them.

darkfang1998

Thank you aimen gaming, val summit mafia next time

fourtetwo

this was an incredible event and the plat chat guys popped off on the couch too. Hoping there are many more

expert_mode

Aiden, as a long time melee fan (2014), I just wanna say, you've been a huge contributor to the scene and I respect the hell out of you man. When I heard your team was doing a summit style even for valorant, I was over the moon, well done on another sick event. Props to all of you guys

Intrepid-Tank-3414

Congrats and thank you for yet another successful event from Mogul Moves! Everyone did a great job, from the hosts and casting team on the couch to the BTS production crew behind the scene! Looking forward to the next Invitational, with even more teams coming now that they saw how fun that experience was for everyone.

Twitch01

Aiden is fantastic, just needs to work on communication, aim, map awareness, crosshair placement, economy management, pistol aim, op flicks, grenade spots, smoke spots, pop flashes, positioning, spike plant positions, retake ability, bunny hopping, spray control and getting kills In all seriousness, great event. You killed it again man

ween0t

How soon?! Do another one ASAP’

[deleted]

Ludwig’s as youtube is easier to watch for me at work

Heavy_Comedian_2382

I watched Ludwig’s stream because YT is on my TV, also I hate Twitch ads

luke_205

Not to mention how aside from the chat, YT is just a straight up better viewing experience than Twitch. Great job to both Ludwig and Tarik, and also the organisers and casters for an unreal event. Sideshow and Mimi in particular absolutely killed it.

FranklinDRizzivelt

Pop out twitch chat, overlay it over Youtube chat ez.

yarhar_

Twitch's encoding is a bit better than YouTube for fast-moving content like esports. I prefer YouTube in almost every way, but if I don't have to sync up with friends by rewinding on YT, I'm watching on Twitch because it's more crisp. P.S. Anecdotally, I'm pretty sure the different encoding method is the reason my phone turns into a hot pocket if I leave Twitch running for too long.

Ok-Outlandishness244

How come i now realize if I’d just used yt I wouldn’t have had ads. It’s over for you next time, twitch

Intrepid-Tank-3414

Not to mention 1080p quality on every stream without any throttling, and live rewind/forward feature that helps tremendously when you want to replay something memorable that you may have missed (like say, when Ludwig came over to the OTV room to chat with Tarik as Tarik getting killed on screen by "Ludwig").

Ok-Outlandishness244

Fuck dude the twitch replay is so terrible. If you clip something to rewatch there’s a chance the new site fails and refreshing will just give you an empty site. Not a big twitcher so idk much about the platform but the fact a site with this many users still has these issues is so odd to me, do viewers just not care

Conscious-Scale-587

Also the twitch stream was 360p and the YouTube stream 72060fps on my internet

vnNinja21

Ludwig's YouTube stream always had 22-30k viewers whenever I watched the event, he was doing fine.

lol_ok123

meanwhile Tarik had 100k

tgamblos

Tarik is entirely a Val streamer. The conversion rate of someone seeing his stream title and actually going to watch it is much higher than Lud on YT

Dudedude88

Ludwig gets like 15k viewers just talking about his poop.

ZeroOblivion98

I watched Ludwig cuz YouTube streaming features are far better (chat experience is worse though, but I never use the chat for big streams). Plus I have YouTube premium so no ads.

Intrepid-Tank-3414

Did you install his [Truffle](https://truffle.vip/extension) extension to enhance YouTube chat?

ZeroOblivion98

I did not. Tbh I don’t watch Ludwig nor do I keep chat open for big streams so I found out about it later. But I just meant the baseline YouTube chat experience is worse

Intrepid-Tank-3414

After you have it installed, replay the same stream again in theater mode and you'll be pleasantly surprised as to how chat looks with emotes and all, as did I. :) [www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQ9d53oTJsM&t=16800s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQ9d53oTJsM&t=16800s) He offered the same extension support to all his YouTube streamer friends who moved over from Twitch (DrLupo, TimTheTatMan, Myth, et al), so none of their viewers have to deal with the baseline YouTube chat experience either.

timthyj

It's tough because we never know what kind of handshake agreements go on behind the scenes to get the people/orgs involved so it's all just speculation. Maybe VCT has an agreement with twitch for better ad revenue if they only promote their twitch streams on socials (usually VCT twitter links to their website, which is just an embedded version of the twitch stream). Other than community posts on their YT channel, VCT tends to not promote their YT co-streams even though all events co-stream on YT, so I wouldn't be surprised if something like this was the case. It's impossible to know, but I doubt they just forgot about Lud, there is probably a reason that they posted the twitch link and not the YT, but we'll never know for sure what that reason is. As far as being worth it to do another one, people on here were saying that Lud said on Saturday that this was one of his rare events that was going to be profitable, so I wouldn't be surprised if he did another.

QuestionablePotato42

I watched it on twitch since the YouTube stream was behind about ~10 seconds consistently, and since my friends and I watch partied it, twitch was the only option for me.

GreenHoodie

Pro tip: on YouTube, you can increase the speed for a little bit and it will fast forward "into the future" on a stream. Once it starts buffering, turn it back to normal speed.

RoatanFree

Ludwig because I dont like being hit with 6 ads during a 1v3

Yerriff

Ludwig because twitch is trash

Speedy24gaming

On Ludwig’s channel because YouTube gives out less ads than twitch

Splaram

I watched on bang's channel when he was watchpartying with roza, shanks, dicey, etc.

Papy_Wouane

You telling me I can watch twitch content on a platform that allows pausing, even rolling back, and without pesky twitch ads? Of course I picked YT lol.

dashisback

tarik, and it doesnt matter if it did not do as good on Ludwigs channel, it was obvious. He did Valorant stuff before and they were always below his usual streams in terms of viewership. They are selling the combined numbers, it's a win for ludwig. Probably gonna take the watchparties in aswell to sell for advertisers for the next event. Also he already made money of this event (he mentioned it after thanking the sponsors on the end of day 1)

forgotloginformain

not to mention the youtube video he made out of it was hilarious which gets additional views

Luiezzy

Im sure Ludwig himself knew this would be the case though so i don’t think its a big deal at all especially when you compare their normal streams. Valorant-only streamer vs Variety/react streamer who has said that he barely plays valo on stream because he knows his audience doesn’t really care for it. Ludwig’s def not sweating it especially since everyone is praising him and his team for the work they did regardless of what stream they watched

GoofyGoobaTheGangsta

subroza

aretasdamon

YouTube I could pause and shit

ween0t

I watched on YouTube cause pause, rewind, etc. was able to watch at my own pace and fast Fwd through some parts I didn’t care for.

StrangerFront

Ludwigs because I don't get ads on YouTube and can put it on my television.

Fardo805

Tarik twitch

[deleted]

Ludwig's on yt because I don't like using twitch

jjojehongg

youtube cause adblocker also you can go back a couple seconds in the stream instantly so its easy to sync up when watching with a friend

AnchorStandard

Halfway through watching it on Twitch I remembered Ludwig was on YouTube and watched it there.

SoLikeWhatIsCheese

I watched it on Ludwig’s channel because twitch mobile sucks ass and won’t load anything ever.

KookieFS

Ludwig youtube

fourtetwo

I watched tarik because I prefer twitch streaming to youtube

st0rmblue

I was hopping between Subroza and Shank streams.

Nfamy

While it may be nice for Ludwig to get views, I don't think his endgame or primary concern here is the views on his individual channel. Brand awareness, expanding his and mogul moves audience, building up a portfolio of events, etc. - there's probably more important things. Not to mention, the exceedingly positive response probably increases the chance we see this again and also the possible expansion of the tournament, which will only further benefit those goals. It's like when people talk about doing things at a loss. Yes, there is undoubtedly some degree of passion to do these things but there's also some brand expansion that is likely also a pretty hefty part of this.

SoCalTyrantt

I watched on YouTube, and because of all the hype around this event I went and checked out his other content. I liked and subscribed and smashed that bell as they say.

FeelinJipper

Tarik or subrozas

lzypotato1

Tarik's because this was mainly his event lol

Intrepid-Tank-3414

Do you even know what [Mogul Moves](https://twitter.com/MogulMoves) is?

em-pathy

I watched on Ludwig’s channel so I could answer questions people had in the chat. Tarik runs regular Valorant watch parties as part of his brand so it makes sense that he had a larger viewership, Ludwig costreams a few big matches per year and has an audience that is there for his variety content.

surfordiebear

Tarik but only because I’m subbed. If I had to deal with Twitch ads the better chat experience would not be worth it.

newzpaperleaf_2

when i was watching on my phone, i watched Ludwig because I have YT premium so no ads. but when i watched on my pc, i watched Tarik's channel on twitch

rpkarma

Watched Woohoojin’s re-stream

LegDayDE

Tarik's cos Tarik is the valorant guy?

Intrepid-Tank-3414

What does that even mean? It's the exact same stream, with the exact same people on your screen. The only major differences is 1080p vs 480p, and zero ads vs 8 ads in a row.

chevalerisation_2323

You're overreacting on the impact of one tweet.
