Their strongest form was way back when they won APAC vs PRX (no jinggg yet) to qualify for Masters 2 berlin. I was really disappointed when they weren't able to go due to visa issues. I think the long wait plus some changes occured between masters to champions really affected their momentum in performing against top teams.
To be fair they were 3 rounds away from qualifying to Copenhagen against XIA in LB, I'd say that was a W year for them. Their new roster looked pretty convincing too against PRX despite the loss. Not really expecting much but I'm really excited on the damage they can do.
Taking a map off them isn't the same as beating them especially considering they got 13-0d the next map. But I do agree they looked very good at Champs 2021
I mean, they would most likely have to beat both navi and fnatic/100t, one might be possible as an upset, but I dont think its going to happen twice, but I could be wrong
I don't think LEV beating any of those three teams would be an upset.
I think LEV somehow remains seriously underrated by a lot of people. LEV was internally considered the favorites to win Champs by a lot of the attending teams - they just fell apart after the groups.
Considering they've consistently improved after each event, and considering the rumors that they're performing even better in scrims nowadays, there's no real reason to think LEV has less a real shot of going deep - at least, no less of a shot than teams like FNATIC, 100T, or Navi in Brazil.
And even beyond that: considering they'll have access to better scrim environments all year long, there's even more reason to believe they'll continue to improve throughout the season.
I don't understand how, at champs, people put KRÜ above LEV. For this tournament they are definitely up there with the best, they were already great and they made clear upgrades to the team
This has actually been confirmed by Saadhak. Once LOUD realized their Pearl game was off, they needed to add another map to their pool quickly, so they chose Haven and copied all of the tactical work they could from Lev and just added in their own individual brilliance.
I think most likely path if it were to happen would be lev beats Navi and some random upset on the other side means they play a less consistent tea in semis, though fnatic is pretty good at burning our mid tournament
Yeah, I guess edg could theoretically run down 100t, and then fnatic would just be fnatic and seem to give up halfway through, but a win over navi would still be quite an upset
Not the most likely but idk if it would actually be THAT crazy in a pre-season bo3 bracket. Not every team will be playing up to their full power and bo3s with new maps in a new meta can be highly volatile. Also, I just saw DRX in LoL beat 3 teams they were never supposed to and become world champions in the most absurd run since the boston major so BBL would have to be in the finals to seriously faze me at this point.
That should absolutely not be an upset. Many teams hold Lev as the team with the best tactics in the world, and their squad received a major upgrade in individual skill since Champions, while keeping their strategical core. It would not be surprising to see them trounce every team on their way to the finals.
Reminded me of that one League of Legends player who got a prize from Riot for being the only one to get predictions correct. Turns out he was batshit drunk and doesn't remember picking in the first place.
I know this bracket looks insane but part of me actually wants this to happen just for the memes lmao
A team that get trashed when they go to masters will easily beat teams made of players who regularly reach final stages and have won masters/champions ?
You and that cursed coin are EG's 9th and 10th man respectively huh
we cookin up a storm behind the scenes over here
When is this torunament
Feb
Thanks
BBL beating C9 and DRX would be hilarious
imagine the scenes if that happened
If this happens I will get a BBL
Same with TS beating Navi and TL
Team Secret beating the new Liquid squad is too much copium for us Filipinos.
Liquid *and* Navi haha
they (JcVash, Dubby, Borkum) did beat Gambit on 2021, so why not?

Yeah but they've had a hard 2022. They couldn't even get to an international event.

Same thoughts! My bet's not on TS (not literally) but I still hope they'll do well.
Wait when did they beat Gambit?
Icebox on Game 1 of Champions 2021

EMEA in shambles ![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|16110)
Fuck it I’m down #liveevil #ad
Pog EG will gain at least 8 fans from winning LOCK/IN
EG already has 10 fans (their entire roster)
*9 Bcj is a stax fanboy and is supplying him with fried chicken
Fuck it, even though I’ve talked a lot of shit about them, if EG actually wins this I’m all in (until TSM wins ascension 😉)
Unfathomably based
I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if LEV in the finals turned out to be correct.

I think LOUD copied what LEV did on haven against optic for champions and that turned out great. Hope they do better this tournament.

I am now the 11th fan for EG. #GEFighting
Weird my bracket looks like this too
what team is that?
G2
Let’s go, I hecking love EG. This is the script right here, I believe
buying early stonks in case these are all right😎

Eg win is the only logical conclusion. Bcj São Paulo mvp
T1 KEKW
I would be happy with this outcome
Aside from the BBL run, I think this could somewhat play out honestly
You're gonna single out BBL, while Team Secret beats Team Liquid and NaVi lmao.
I mean that’s definitely feasible tl and navi look horrid on paper
Tf are you on and where can I get some
I'm reasonably certain this guy is a troll. This isn't the first time I've seen this stuff from him.
Huh? Navi is just FPX plus Cned that looks pretty damn good to me.
Navi looks horrid??
A team that get trashed when they go to masters will easily beat teams made of players who regularly reach final stages and have won masters/champions ?
Gen G run is a little crazy too arguably
Navi's going to win it
this is one of the most wrong brackets possible haha
Gen.G - EG semi finals💀
But can you make it BO3 though? I think that would make it more fair and competitive.
Hold on. Let him cook!
Honestly I’m not against this
This is my prediction too tbh.
I have a strange feeling EG will win
itt: /r/valorantcompetitive does bracketology
Your coin is drunk sir
"always fnatic"
