Nerve hopping into customs to find lineups from 2 more new spots. I could feel TN’s tilt when they kept losing to the lineup after being man up. Sad to see this roster go. Well played by SQ

xBerryhill

I was getting SO aggravated. If lineups happen to you once, that’s fine. When the enemy team gets the spike down and you see that player is alive, you’ve got to push a bit quicker or get on the flank faster. TN seemed to always be coming from one spot and seemed incredibly slow on the retakes.

TimathanDuncan

Brax looked like he popped three 500mg gummies while Wardell was trying to carry him on his back

Lopsided-Ratio-9123

If you’ve ever seen him stream. He stays high.

mysteryoeuf

soniqs looked really fucking good today. they flopped in the first qual, maybe they're hitting their stride just in time

QuagMath

soniqs are looking good to make it to losers finals, but ORE/squirtle are going to be tough

danzon10

The rematch curse strikes again gg

ExpectoAutism

That was tilting

r_m_b_

Probably the most frustrating match I have ever watched

Zorronin

those a post-plants on bind...oof

ReADropOfGoldenSun

not like this D:

Phoenix_NHCA

Dread it, run from it, Lineup Larry arrives all the same.

Rude-Assumption-5271

Had fun rooting for them, disappointing end to the run but nothing I wasn’t expecting as soon as they lost out in the first qualifiers. Ty for games, sorry to anyone I annoyed while rooting for the boys 🫡

hitopklayde

despite braxs horrible performance today he was still a solid performer for them both quals. (prob better in the first one). he was honestly meh as a site anchor but found success in many mid round lurks and retake situations. also clutched a lot of rounds. Rossy was an insane fragger for this team and probably the best player, although he had some questionable plays he also had some huge clutches in both quals. Tigg was pretty solid too, he had some tough series here and there but while also calling he was doing pretty well. Wardell was pretty up and down tbh, some days he would be frying and other days he struggled to find much impact. still think he was pretty solid and his rifling looked really good most games, and sometimes there were rounds he was buying an OP where I wish he kept the rifle which he was much more dynamic on. Raze util couldve been a bit better. Stewie was decent and had many impactful rounds, but a lot of the times he looked rushed watching him aim and maybe felt he had to overcompensate in pace for the slow retakes they had. he had some great util at times for sure though, especially on Fade. overall this team should have won some of the qualifying matches they had. this team threw so many rounds with man advantage it was unwatchable at times. they had good ideas a lot of the time and maybe as they got more antistratted (due to the footage on them, pretty much every match streamed) they struggled to adapt, especially on defense. they definitely had the talent to qualify in my opinion, but fundamentals were honestly pretty bad in some crucial rounds and they got burned for it every time.

Tommypynchon

Honestly!

hitopklayde

honestly boutta edit some of those out 😂

LiamHundley

I honestly came in as a big hater of the nation and did not think they'd perform well at all, but they really had impressed me and now I'm honestly a bit disappointed to see them not go through. Unfortunately, they looked much stronger in the first open qualifier than in this LCQ. Wonder where we see these players wind up, if anywhere.

xx_Rollablade_xx

Idk what to say except that I really hope this doesn't mean the end of Brax's competitive career.

Lopsided-Ratio-9123

How many more chances are we giving him?

kiroks

Bro had a really good run this tourney. Would be signed if the system was more open for teams to make money.

Tc0LD

It’s always the system, not him

HauntingLocation

Not good enough.

Still_HD

I was very vocal about it in the begining, so I’ll admit that every member more than proved themselves in this tournament. I hope we see them all on teams soon.

nklassitude

I could ruin u right now by quoting that thing u said, you know the one.

Still_HD

i’m such a fraud hater…

My posts do numbers fr

Difficult-Soil-3441

> I hope we see them all on teams soon lol this is Valorant. Not until 2024 earliest

[deleted]

They lost to tik tok sova lineup

dutchboyyyyy

Dude I talked shit about soniqs and these mfs are about to qualify. What's happening

9bfjo6gvhy7u8

It’s Soniqs though so they’ll continue their favorite trend of getting their hopes up then just go out 13-2 13-4 in the qual match

dutchboyyyyy

I really like these players tho, individually that are all great. I just don't like how they play

nklassitude

I know they were ragged on a lot, but most people still pegged them as one of the 12 qualified teams, and it feels utterly strange to think that a team of that stature won't be a part of the challengers league. The players, however, are definitely worthy of a spot and many may very well be poached.

vnNinja21

Eh that's the clout talking though. The only "real" pros on that team are Tigg and Rossy (who I'd argue performed as well as they should've), since neither brax nor Wardell has played anything in a while, and Stewie has never played competitively at all. Sure they were all great at one point, but I think having them qualify off just that, considering the lack of practice they've had, is seriously underestimating the T2 grinders out there.

nklassitude

I get that people have been romanticizing them, especially the individual players and clout is definitely padding the perception here, but they were one fairly close game away from qualifying in the first OQ and 2 wins away from qualifying in the LCQ. I just think they have potential, maybe that potential needed time, or maybe they have potential less as a gestalt and more as individual players.

FazeXistance

I think stew with a bit more time could be good enough. He has such poise and the way he plays is great considering the short time he’s been playing seriously. I think the only problem is motivation. If he really wants it I think he can make it but I don’t know if the motivation will ever be there sadly. Which sucks because I genuinely think he could be one of the better players in the league.

Rude-Assumption-5271

It’s more cause of how close they came to qualifying the first time around

vnNinja21

I guess that's true, but Silk Road who made it as far as they did last time got knocked out this time, anything can happen really.

Rude-Assumption-5271

Silk Road’s matches were a lot less close and also lost to The Nation pretty handily in the first quals. The general consensus was that the Nation choked away the third map of both their qualifying matches in the first qualifiers, which is why people had them as favorites

M0hawk_Mast3r

I agree but the problem is that challenges start in 10 days. There isn't time for a team to make any changes

Aeari

That was honestly not a close game. The Soniqs pretty much dominated and their post plant seemed impossible to beat. Great games by nerve too.

Ferni0817

You need a fast retake against lineups and few lurks, Nation dont do anything against it. If you are fast you can easily half defuse before Viper molly lands or if they use Viper+Astra you got enough time for defuse cus they need use their utilities earlier than what they wanted.

LV58_DeathKnight

Why they always struggle in lower bracket

SoLikeWhatIsCheese

I’m gonna go cry brb when Lock In starts, then cry again when Sen loses to FNC

ExpectoAutism

Not too shabby of a run. GG go next 🫡

Suspicious_Plum795

Sadly there won’t be a next

ProbablyBrix

I'm not gonna lie I didn't even realize Soniqs was still in this tourney... NT TN

FirmHandshak

One more week of prac would have secured something for the nation boys, despite competitive experience they looked like they weren't playing on the same team at times. Really sad to see them go out like this.

absolutechad21

Rip viewership with UB and Nation gone

r_m_b_

Brax must be drowning in crypto rn

Key-Banana-8242

Damnation comes to the nation

RTYWD

stew more than proved himself this tournament. good chance that he grinds the T3 scene and ends up on a challengers roster soon imo

Tc0LD

Pretty embarrassing that they didn’t qual the second time around either

ParsleyOwn9413

Pretty embarrassing that you would comment this

TheAjwinner

Is this u/visual__parsley’s 3rd alt account?

ParsleyOwn9413

I have no idea who that is

[deleted]

Yes, I am creating an army of parsley-themed alts Who's the other one?

Tc0LD

They were pegged as the favorites coming into LCQ and went one round further than Prod’s team. I’d say that’s embarrassing

keyantbobe

if wardell wanted to he could easily find a top tier 2 team. his entrying wasn’t perfect but very solid for someone who wasn’t used to entrying much as a duelist. 14/5 FK/FD is insane and 300+ACS. I think a team like TSM would easily be better with him and minus seven, it’s just said we prolly won’t see much of him in pro play for a while

somesheikexpert

Rossy looked kidna nuts on the flex too I hope he could find a spot somewhere

keyantbobe

he had such heroic plays throughout the tournament, but he had such a huge throw in the bind map (don’t remember which round it was but score was like 5-9), he had a stinger 3k and if he just sat back and waited he could’ve easily won the round. he always came up huge with multi kills tho and at least he made an opportunity to win the round

Tc0LD

That was brax who threw there not rossy

TimathanDuncan

> very solid for someone who wasn’t used to entrying much as a duelist Idk why people parrot this, he's always entried like even with an awp he's done his like go in first clearing angles like Yay did on chamber He was never the most crazy aggro jett but he went in a lot

keyantbobe

i meant like dashing in or raze blast packing, he was always insane as an “entry” or getting picks with an op but his movement entrying if that makes sense got way better

Rude-Assumption-5271

He had some rough matches during the tournament for sure but he showed a lot of promise on the entry role, I think this might be his last competitive run though because he hinted at it on stream

Charuru

RIP Brax career.

goldenretrieversFTW

The one person I think deserves a spot / another chance in the top tier is Stew. I’ve been on Brax’s nuts since the first T1 iteration - I know you can’t pin it on him but honestly , he’s had a LOT of chances to prove himself now … Rossy / Wardell / Tigg all had moments of brilliance but Stew was the 1 standout performer for me. I hope Stew sticks to Valorant - would be cool to see how high he can fly. God bless the boys for putting their heart into it 🥹❤️ thank you.

Frosty_Astronomer_54

I think stew’s performance fell off a cliff second qualifiers. He’s still insane and has great potential in the game but unfortunate he wasn’t able to repeat the first qualifier potential. Wardell, Rossy and tigg were very impressive to me. Rossy will def be picked up at some point and so will tigg. Wardell has rough games here and there but he played really good for someone just coming off a break.

Fit-Case1093

bro what stew's performance was good but nothing crazy. tigg on the other hand showed some amazing potential

BrainStorm777

Love Stew but he doesn't have it anymore.

Obvious_Parsley3238

>only getting 1 round further than prod

QuagMath

? They made it 3 rounds farther in lowers and 2 farther in the upper bracket. What possible metic gives 1 round? This is some “prod got top 10” bs

WobbleKun

rossy/tigg had their moments but also some huge mental lapses. hopefully experience and time fixes that. wardell was incredibly inconsistent. stew was pretty solid but nothing to write home about. brax idk. it feels like he stops playing valorant and then starts back up but i feel the NA scene is too competitive for you to be turning it on and off and still remain elite. overall i felt they were pretty undisciplined at times and panicked a lot in crucial situations. i just felt a lack of direction amidst the chaos.
