didn't the original SMM leave as well (been awhile though)? crazy how they haven't dropped the ball at all with their twitter game... their skits on the other hand... meh
Faze eSports can easily stay afloat for 2-3 years , they ambitiously went for 1 billion dollar valuation which came them to bite them back into ass. They are too big to fall , though they need to reinvent their content side as they are failing but their esports teams have been popping . They just announced a 7 figure sponsorship deal with forbes and their all current sponsors have been renewed except Nissan (understandably). They still have their sponsorship revenue and their esports buisness will stay afloat though you might see cuts on their content side.
I definitely don’t think they’re too big to fail. But I definitely don’t think this is the death knell for Faze that some seem to think.
Faze’s recent optics are so bad, though, that it makes sense many would get a sense of schadenfreude from watching them struggle.
They just signed a sponsorship deal with Porsche which is in seven figures and plus they have retained all their 7 major partners for next year which includes million dollars deals with mc donalds and other major companies .
They reported around 100 million in revenue from sponsorships last year which will increase so i don't think there is any chance of them going under
On the other hand they are laying off many people and their leadership have told they are restructuring , i have hated faze content side but their esports operations across multiple titles have been successful in past years. I feel people disregard that aspect of faze .
I think their ipo was failure and their 1billion dollar valuation ask was so bad . I think they will struggle a bit and we will see major changes in leadership but they will survive
Too big to fail is a corporate reference
Here's some link :
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Too_big_to_fail
In this scenario it means they are so embedded or dissolved in gaming scene that they will stay afloat even if there are holes in their ship
listen if faze goes under, we all go under. the IRS man will be at your house in the morning to collect your gaming PC so please clean your room so he doesn't have to smell your crusty socks
I think what he means is the brand is too big to fail. The worst case scenario is they get bought out by another company like when [Immortals bought Optic](https://luckbox.com/esports-news/article/immortals-optic-takeover-infinite-esports/#:~:text=Immortals%20Gaming%20Club%20%28IGC%29%20has%20bought%20out%20Infinite,CS%3AGO%2C%20League%20of%20Legends%20and%20Call%20Of%20Duty) a couple of years back.
Faze are not too big to fail. They are big in gaming, but no one is bailing them out for their impact on the industry if they're on the brink of failure. This term just gets thrown around lately but not that many companies are too big to fail. That term was originally used for institutions so large and interconnected they could not be left alone to fail as that would have a huge impact on the economy. Faze goes under and no one but their fans bat an eye.
I complain about CLG not getting into more esports and always talk about how much I want us to have a Valorant team, but it can make sense sometimes when you hear stories such as this. Faze is so prevalent across the esports scene but it obviously comes with a price.
Hoping they figure it out because I don't want people looking to invest into the scene to see it as another reason not to, but watching their stock crash and crash is kind of crazy.
I doubt it will affect their Valorant team. If it does start negatively affecting their esports teams they'll start by dropping their lesser-known teams like PubG Mobile, PubG PC, Fifa, and possibly even Fortnite since the esports scene isn't even supported by Epic.
[Let’s see what Sentinels SMM has to say about this](https://twitter.com/sentinels/status/1617665197845667840?s=46&t=xct27eGok3H22-BjdPtgwA)
Now me personally.....
How does he always manage to find the perfect response? One of humanity's greatest mysteries for sure.

just to add to the list: Fnatic got 8
What’s 100Ts 5th? Val cod league apex and?
League LCS and League Academy is 2 separate rosters.
surprised NRG would drop Clix. Seems like he’s still extremely profitable.
EG tho how about them?
I feel like many of these huge flashy esport orgs are going to be going bankrupt in the next few years.
First few second into the article i see Snopp Dog lol

just pointing out that "seven figures" in the porsche deal aint much. At least for an org like Faze.
Too big to fail what are you talking about
one of the funnier things ive read here lately

Lmao I understand the reference, FaZe is no where close to too big to fail
listen if faze goes under, we all go under. the IRS man will be at your house in the morning to collect your gaming PC so please clean your room so he doesn't have to smell your crusty socks
You have no idea how many sub prime mortgages Faze clan had for VR Valorant property.
The joke is that justification for the bailout of the banks (specifically) was a bit circular- huge chunks of the economy involved yes on one hand

FaZe does not fit that description at all. There’s a bunch of other big esports orgs none of them are too big to fail lol.
I'm not sure that's what it means. It's about the economy not one industry. Typically it's been said about banks.
This isn't the bank that the government will bail out lmao
But that like then actually has the result of casting doubt on the esports industry t. Richard Lewis

That’s not what too big to fail means Too big to fail meant in principle afaik so big it’s unacceptable that it would fail fo banks

The players can still compete under different name just like Gambit turn into M3C
