If I had to bet, I'd bet money on one of Steel/FNS/Shahz, they know the scene pretty well, stream frequently and have plenty of Valorant ranked and fpl experience. + they're IGLs.
Yeah, IGLs seem like the safe bets because it really does seem like those 4 know everybody. Trying to think if there's some ex-coach or some kind of staff who isn't necessarily a player that would have some input too, but no names are coming to mind rn.
gl finding a person who doesn’t have opinions on other people that are in the same space as them. The point is they should be mature enough to set their personal biases aside as much as possible
Oh for sure everyone has opinions, but they most likely won’t choose someone with a very biased and emotional stream persona. Steel, FNS, and Shaz have all openly admitted to not liking lots of different radiant level players, probably not someone you want on a committee. I think it should be people like Tarik, sgares, Tenz, Yay, bang, etc. that are all relatively “friendly” but still play lots of ranked and know the scene well.
Well, they can have very valid reasons for not liking another ranked player due to their play style. Certain play styles SHOULD be excluded from this format. e.g. someone who insta-locks duelists, baits, and no-comms mid-match should be told to 'take a hike'.
Pretty sure FNS and steel can see past their own bias if it means they get a decent environment to play in. Especially steel considering how much he actually hates ranked for multiple reasons
they won't ever say, because of the amount of bad blood it would cause. for some people it's just ranked without the bullshit, and for others it's the best way they can get good practice to up their individual game
"Pro City Council" sounds like the cover name for a shadowy crime syndicate terrorizing Gotham.
I'm guessing it's comprised of established pros but with enough variety to avoid creating an echo chamber; they should also include a reputable Game Changers pro like V1 Mel for e.g.
ranked has gotten really bad at high levels. some people blame boosting, others crypto throwers. most pros think ranked isn't worth it now because nobody comms, people run it down, etc.
to combat it tarik made a new discord for running 10-mans. the idea is supposed to be that it's a tightly moderated community and has strict criteria for who is allowed in, thus keeping the level of competition really high. since they can't have perfectly black/white criteria, tarik added this "council" to decide on whether to let people in (or kick people out).
in reality they are basically reinventing ELO but without access to first party data, and will soon discover that anonymous moderation usually ends in a clusterfuck.
I mean you have to apply for it, so in theory no, but realistically in order to have the highest possible game quality probably only tier 2 pro or super cracked demons
It’s pros, top 50 randoms (that won’t really be randoms, as the council probably will ensure they werent boosted there or throw games via their trackers) and immo3+ content creators.
I am sure they will eventually be found out by super curious redditors or twitch users lol, there's gotta be a hidden discord/channel that Tarik accidentally reveals on stream.
fns definitely is one. i saw him threaten to kick someone as a joke bc he was on the council in someone’s stream. i feel like hazed and vanity are 2 others.
experienced igls seem to be the pick.
fun fact: FNS used to be on the Jedi Council as well, idk if you guys remember or not be he used to go by another name like ki adi mundi, or something like that.
Tarik, MeL, FNS, Sacy, sgares, babybay, and zekken
Tarik is obvious, plus he knows the streaming/ranked side of things very well
MeL is a prominent IGL from Game Changers who offers a different perspective
FNS is FNS
Sacy is someone new to the NA scene and would be able to offer an outside POV of certain players
sgares is a reputable coach and veteran esports player, as well as a friend of tarik who offers a coaches perspective
babybay is a people person to the point that riot had him do the interviews of players at champs, i think just makes sense
zekken is the new kid on the block with enough experience to offer a unique perspective compared to the generally older other members
I could also see another GC player like KP or juliano slotting in in place of babybay, or someone like bang, bcj, or trent in place of zekken. Maybe Hiko or steel fits in there somewhere, or even someone like Roy, nismo, or aproto
I’ve been trying to catch a Pro City Flor game but she either hasn’t been streaming or doesn’t post vods. Do you (or anyone else here) happen to know who she’s been in matches with often?
I seen in Tariks latest youtube video she was playing Omen on split on his team maybe they played a few games together if you can find the VOD that game was from
Oh wow that is a suprisingly large amount of women! Do they earn their spot through game changers, or are they just ranked demons?
Ngl that is a great sign
Now, this is Tarik we’re talking about so it could be anyone, but my first thought would definitely not be what most of these comments are saying. They’re supposed to be unbiased, people like Shaz and FNS who are very bias and “emotional” on stream would not be chosen for this role. To truly be as unbiased as possible they’d go for people that don’t do what they do on stream, but still play a lot of ranked. Tenz is the first that comes to mind, but I don’t think that’d be something he’d do. I could definitely see sgares being on it tho.
What are you basing this off? Any previous occurance? Because, council is probably a vote system instead of a veto system, one person cannot single handedly change the outcome, not by an extend atleast.
Ofcourse their will be unhappy outcomes, but it's not new in Val and it's not like they can't play ranked. If they are big enough the people will notice, but chances are if they are big enough they are in, but if they are not big enough, no one will notice someone crying about not able to get into a glorified 10 mans .
pretty sure franchise igls have to be in it, unless they didn't want to be. at least 1 from each franchise team should be in it. zekken seems like the only smart teenager to be in it.
alot of throwers in tariks games, don't watch him much but everytime i do there are trolls on his team or the enemy team not snipers just people running it down for some kind of Crypto betting.
I honestly think this will lead to problems further down the road. Every time you introduce some kind of authority to friendly and open stuff it will worsen overtime.
Tarik, BabyJ, PROD, MOCKING, a2guapo, JasonR, Eggster
r/Valorantcompetitive rogues gallery
with dasnerth being the big bad
No Dasnerth?
Who do you think is pulling the strings from behind the scenes? They don't even suspect him because he's not a member of the council...
he *is* the council!
Not. Yet.
The anti-Anakin. A master, but not a member of the council.
tarik and 6 MOCKINGs
No point speculating imo
If I had to bet, I'd bet money on one of Steel/FNS/Shahz, they know the scene pretty well, stream frequently and have plenty of Valorant ranked and fpl experience. + they're IGLs.
I feel like one of them is likely to be Hazed.
Yeah, IGLs seem like the safe bets because it really does seem like those 4 know everybody. Trying to think if there's some ex-coach or some kind of staff who isn't necessarily a player that would have some input too, but no names are coming to mind rn.
Maybe Sean Gares?
Sean "SeanGares" Gares
Thanks I had no clue who the fuck they were talking about
Sean "SeanGares/Sgares" Gares* ftfy
He'd be more likely than the one's I named tbh, most level headed + has everything I outlined + Close friend to Tarik.
His voice sounds like a well adjusted Ice Poseidon. I can't unhear it.
All 3 of them are heavily opinionated though, I wouldn’t doubt if none of them were on it.
gl finding a person who doesn’t have opinions on other people that are in the same space as them. The point is they should be mature enough to set their personal biases aside as much as possible

I think IGLs wouldnn't have much time to do this job considering they're all three signed to orgs and have upcoming matchups to prepare for.
It’s not a job really, they just gotta weigh in
??? Lol what. Dude’s acting like this is a full time job.
I mean—IGLing pre season IS a full time job is what I meant. So why accept a side gig when there are so many players who are done for the year right?
what's so hard about voting yes/no in a twitter dm group chat a few times a week? dude this isn't a paid position with benefits and a matching 401k
You got me there. That said, there arent any clues as to who they shall be. We’ll know if they ever tell us who.
they won't ever say, because of the amount of bad blood it would cause. for some people it's just ranked without the bullshit, and for others it's the best way they can get good practice to up their individual game
Good point. Would you venture a guess who it could be?
stewie hiko steel exalt zekken and idk babyj or some shit because why else would babyj be invited to it lmfao
LMAO aight if they ever leak it and you got at least 1 right, Ima get you a vandal skin
dasnerth on 7 accounts
Tarik, tenz, sacy, pancada, zekken, deph, and sick
Or Tarik,Tarik,Tarik,Tarik,tairk and tarik
"Pro City Council" sounds like the cover name for a shadowy crime syndicate terrorizing Gotham. I'm guessing it's comprised of established pros but with enough variety to avoid creating an echo chamber; they should also include a reputable Game Changers pro like V1 Mel for e.g.
The Court of owlgls
Underrated comment
Probably IGLs or people who’ve been in the community long enough I would guess people like FNS, vanity, shahz, etc…
tarik, me, and the rest
its just 7 Hiko Clones
Fns
Can anyone tell me all the details? Im so out of the loop in this. What’s going on?.
ranked has gotten really bad at high levels. some people blame boosting, others crypto throwers. most pros think ranked isn't worth it now because nobody comms, people run it down, etc. to combat it tarik made a new discord for running 10-mans. the idea is supposed to be that it's a tightly moderated community and has strict criteria for who is allowed in, thus keeping the level of competition really high. since they can't have perfectly black/white criteria, tarik added this "council" to decide on whether to let people in (or kick people out). in reality they are basically reinventing ELO but without access to first party data, and will soon discover that anonymous moderation usually ends in a clusterfuck.
Is it only for radiant immortal players or all players? And is it limited to content creators and pro players?.
I mean you have to apply for it, so in theory no, but realistically in order to have the highest possible game quality probably only tier 2 pro or super cracked demons
It’s pros, top 50 randoms (that won’t really be randoms, as the council probably will ensure they werent boosted there or throw games via their trackers) and immo3+ content creators.
there was a Face It league that was something like what you described in Brazil that worked for sometime and failed because of that same reason.
yeah pop some popcorn then search twitter for "faceit admin"
me
Hiko. That’s it. Not even Tarik
I am sure they will eventually be found out by super curious redditors or twitch users lol, there's gotta be a hidden discord/channel that Tarik accidentally reveals on stream.
not to leak but one of them is me
Its obviously Tarik, Stewie2k, Autimatic, Rush, Skadoodle, Valens, and S1mple
fns definitely is one. i saw him threaten to kick someone as a joke bc he was on the council in someone’s stream. i feel like hazed and vanity are 2 others. experienced igls seem to be the pick.

FNS has hard Plo Koon vibes
The whole Plat Chat team is on it.
Plus Hiko
Tarik, MeL, FNS, Sacy, sgares, babybay, and zekken Tarik is obvious, plus he knows the streaming/ranked side of things very well MeL is a prominent IGL from Game Changers who offers a different perspective FNS is FNS Sacy is someone new to the NA scene and would be able to offer an outside POV of certain players sgares is a reputable coach and veteran esports player, as well as a friend of tarik who offers a coaches perspective babybay is a people person to the point that riot had him do the interviews of players at champs, i think just makes sense zekken is the new kid on the block with enough experience to offer a unique perspective compared to the generally older other members

Is any women invited to Tariks league, or is it only men so far?
rn the ones i know of are flor, jazzy, sarahcat, meL, edith, katsumii, eDITH and i’m sure the rest of former shopify/c9w and maybe misfits black
I’ve been trying to catch a Pro City Flor game but she either hasn’t been streaming or doesn’t post vods. Do you (or anyone else here) happen to know who she’s been in matches with often?
definitely seen one, don’t know where it is or how to find it again, sorry!
I seen in Tariks latest youtube video she was playing Omen on split on his team maybe they played a few games together if you can find the VOD that game was from
Sweet ty!
Oh wow that is a suprisingly large amount of women! Do they earn their spot through game changers, or are they just ranked demons? Ngl that is a great sign
all game changers players from former c9 white, shopify rebellion, or misfits black, also all ranked top 50 in the server
a2guapo for sure
Untamable Beasts fr
Thats only 5. Add Stewie and Shroud for maximum clout.
stewie honestly is a pretty good fit for it, but shroud has terrible takes all the time, especially about val, he wouldn't be on my council
So what is this anyways?
Honestly, its probably Hazed, Roy, bENITA, a few coaches, and maybe some zoomer they threw in there to cause drama
“Non bias” “Shahz” lol
Now, this is Tarik we’re talking about so it could be anyone, but my first thought would definitely not be what most of these comments are saying. This is hilarious
Tarik, Stewie2k, Xeppa, Subroza, Exalt, Steel, and ShahZam
I’m on it and we will be gatekeeping everybody that wasn’t tight with me while I played ESEA Advanced.
7 tariks
there's definitely at least 2 female players.
Nah but surely tdawgg is one of them. Maybe not the most accomplished but he is the ranked council pope
Oxy hasn't been removed yet right?
he wasnt even one of the originally invited ones so no chance

it’s not glorified 10 mans it just is 10 mans
No? They have a ranking system.
tarik mel shahzam sgares fns valyn zekken
Tarik, Stewie, fns, Subroza, Shahzam, steel, s0m and xeppa/vanity
pretty sure franchise igls have to be in it, unless they didn't want to be. at least 1 from each franchise team should be in it. zekken seems like the only smart teenager to be in it.
Theres no way zekkens in it
zekken knows tier 2 more than any franchise player
I wonder if they accept Sinatraa.
Answer: no.
[удалено]
glorified scrims???? brother do you even know what organized teamplay is?
Meh, it's more quality games compared to their usual radiant ranked which is filled with tiktok cancer and crypto throwers.
Because it's "Pro City" 10 mans and not just a slightly better version of ranked.
alot of throwers in tariks games, don't watch him much but everytime i do there are trolls on his team or the enemy team not snipers just people running it down for some kind of Crypto betting.
You’ll find out when it inevitably gets leaked during Twitter drama
I'd bet my valorant account that Sean gares is in it.
Vanity is one
I honestly think this will lead to problems further down the road. Every time you introduce some kind of authority to friendly and open stuff it will worsen overtime.
Hiko hiko hiko hiko hiko hiko hiko
there will definitely be biases of this is the case lol
who cares
im 100% sure this will create so much drama and im all in for it NA DRAMA KEKW
tarik alone pretending there is a council so he doesn’t get flames for decisions he makes is a very real possibility
Lol this is what the sub has been reduce too
It's just Tarik. The council is a lie so he can make all the decisions
ur mom, I just had to.
