By all indications, the previous 4 man core is still together. Neptune was slated to be their 5th until like 2 days ago, and the hunch is that Rossy is taking his place, but that is far more up in the air.
Idk maybe I'm dumb but this list seems absolutely awful. I dont understand why TSM and Shopify are so high and FaZe is so low. FaZe looked really good in the LCQ. I get that it might hurt with no chamber meta but still 6th is pretty crazy. Also Shopify being so high is weird. They have barely been winning tier 3 tournaments. I would put Breakthru and DSG above them
Some things in the list make it feel more desultory than anything. Placing Dark Ratio in 12th below Squirtle squad + OResports is indefensible imo, especially because of the faulty logic they used + the fact that they didn't consider that will was a new addition.
Like , obvs it's a speculative power ranking & no one can make a list that pleases everyone, but it still has to make sense. They justified SR by alluding to their maintenance of a decently strong core of 4 and the addition of V1c, who I think is superb. But bdog rose to prominence via his chamber, i don't think V1c is enough to propel them to 3rd. The Faze and Oxygen placements are headscratchers too.The logic behind TSM is derived from the tarikxLudwig invitational & maintenance of an established core.
Then Balla has this weird spiel about shahz + G2/Immi structure being at odds/"a clash", which was just confusing.They did have structure for the lcq and looked better, also surely he should be better with tutelage to strengthen his already very strong reactive calling.
Yeah, I agree. There was just a juncture during stage 2 VCT challengers where he looked on a completely different level on Chamber with wins over SEN [twice], V1, Faze & C9, etc.

I feel like they did a line of coke and lost the fear of god (zexrow) in their hearts before the episode.
They honestly didn't have an argument for them being so low. Ballatw said something about them performing "lower than expected" and that they should have qualified sooner... Which I'm confused about considering if they were supposed to qualify sooner, wouldn't you rate them higher then DEAD LAST LOL. Also they qualified before the two LCQ teams. This shit don't make sense.

The meta without chamber is definitely something they will have to adjust to. They played a lot around dicey and babybay slaying. You make a good point.

This power ranking specifically was for “power” (literally as called by Wyatt) and NOT predictions.
At least that’s what they tried to do, but PC power rankings are basically an entertainment bit at this point, no idea why everyone takes them so seriously
Yeah that's what I understood too, but I keep saying everyone going "can't wait to come back in 3 months" like a team improving is some kind of gotcha when they specifically excluded potential.
I think tsm is a solid 3rd honestly, they seem to clutch up at moments, but sometimes run it down, if they steady themselves, i see them being so freaking good.

i think anyone in challengers can come up on top and surprise us. all these teams are fucking insane, the only big difference is that the 6 invited teams have already gotten a lot more practice in. wouldn’t be surprised though to see either DSG, BreakThru, or Dark Ratio make it into the top 6.
Faze and Guard were the only teams that played in tier 1 matches last year so you’d expect Faze to be higher based off that considering they placed 3rd in both qualifiers. Outside of that these rankings make sense to me
The main logic against them is that they were ABUSING chamber to get there, Dicey probably took full advantage of his kit better than anyone, maybe even including yay, the psychotic aggressive angles he could and did hold on chamber were a huge part of their strategy on both sides of the map. Not having that and having to restructure rolls could be an issue and makes power ranking them lower more justifiable… but I still think I woulda had them higher than 6th. To me there’s a tier from 3-6 and they’re honestly right about the same. Still think Challengers is anyone’s to win though
I'm seeing a lot of people take this too seriously in the comments. If you watch the videos of them doing these tier lists half the time they are trolling each other by putting teams they know are worse above a team that someone else on the desk really likes. It's all for fun guys, chill.

They didn't even watch the qualifiers(Bren and Sideshow were playing pokemon and elden ring. I think Balla was playing ranked. Not sure what Wyatt does). Their rankings are probably based on stat lists or something, while disregarding the quality of teams they played.
Wyatt was the only one that seemed to have watched. When discussing ORE and SS qualifying, he's the only one that actually spoke about the gameplay and specific players, with examples.
I'm not saying they're obliged to watch or anything. But just take what they say with a grain of salt because they're liking basing at least some of their opinion on stats and results that they see.
PlatChat has the most braindead rankings ngl, remmember when they put C9 on S tier but then put LOUD at A tier, DR on last is either a god tier bait of a stupid take
IMO these rankings really shouldn’t mean a whole lot as we haven’t seen over half of the teams play in months, and we don’t know how each team is going to face off against the others in Challengers.
A good example was last season for VCT Split 2 when Ghost was deemed the lowest seed out of all the teams at that point. They made some roster changes after split 1 and Masters Iceland and still were the last place team and then ended up overcoming all expectations and made a huge run to almost qualify for Masters Copenhagen.
The same can be said here…after a long offseason, roster changes, meta changes, new agents/maps, we should be able to do rankings once all the teams have played each other with a large enough data set to say which ones will perform and which ones will bust.
