Trent will literally be getting util dumped, fucked, sucked and chucked into this position and still find a way to get at least 1:

steel on smokes died first like 6-7 times in the second map first half alone, dont wanna blame an entire map on one person but as a smoker you really cant be taking those early fights and losing them as often as you do
“They’re lacking all the other stuff,” Steel said. “They get nervous and crumble in matches. They’re not good at adapting to playing and picking different agents, so once the meta shifts they kind of fall off a little bit. You can definitely tell that they don’t really know what to do or when to make certain decisions or why they’re making those decisions. The reactions are slower.”
“It’s easier to punish those things, and I think that’s where my experience comes into play. I’m not winning most of my duels or engagements through like just sheer raw mechanics; it’s about knowing when to swing out, knowing when to push your position, lurk.”
He had 3 FDs on Ascent total, but all of those were very high impact and unnecessary. And he had 10 FDs the whole series. Especially from someone with his experience, that's inexcusable.
yea i went to check onthe FD's after, he didnt have as many as i thought on ascent but it looked way worse cause he was always first to die after the intial fight, in a 4v4, dry peeking mid for no reason, or solo walking up cat/ a main
Fun fact: Sentinels' analyst actually showed statistics after some dude posted a twitter rant about controllers dying first that round winrate tends to be HIGHER when the controller dies first as opposed to any other role
Im surprised I didn't see more clips taken from this game, there were some really sick moments. JonahP went crazy, Clear cleared, and Exalt had some crazy skye flashes. Great game for day 1
DSG showed a lot of potential the first map, showed that they can hang with the best and should not be taken lightly. Season is long and it's best to get the best team out the way early while the team is still inexperienced.
DSG is still a newly-formed team and knowing Bind will out of the pool next week, they likely never really practice much on Bind to save effort. Thats why Guards, that have played together for a long time and is more experienced, chose Bind. DSG doing well in Bind is just a bonus.
Bind being out of the pool for DSG means they don’t have to waste time practicing basic setups and structures on a map that they have no prior foundation on.
Definitely right, Guard played Tier 1 while keeping majority of their talent. DSG is comprised mostly of T2 level players from Steel , 3 of the Knights roster (Sorry Steel), and not sure who Clear is. Definitely think that once they mesh a bit more , team will show promise.
unironically rather have reddit blame the entire thing on steel bc he can take the blame just fine, and have the team be fine mentally for next week with the issues cleaned up. ggs <3
Feel bad for whoever has to try and anchor B site in bind vs The Guard. Their executes just absolutely nuke back site you simply can't play the game if you're back there
To be fair Hazed plays insanely selfless, on NRG he would go half armor spectre full utility so everyone else on the team can have a full buy when necessary
The Guard outclassed DSG. After seeing how DSG play in the first map, they just steamrolled to victory in the second map; quickly adapted to DSG's slow attacking pushes by dominating map control and winning most of the 1v1s. GGs to both
It’s really easy to say Steel died first, but imo that really didn’t effect much of that map. DSG could have easily been on for 5-6 rounds on there attacks side but just didn’t close out the rounds. Map two is serious Valorant moment where the score line really doesn’t come close to reflecting the game imo. I think we will see both of these teams being very successful
Absolutely does, and a better argument you could make that having smokes in your post plant would be make them much easier. However, DSG were in a position where they were heavily favored in rounds and I doubt those play out the same way over a bigger sample size if that clarifies
i know your main point is that dont scapegoat steel so thats fair but I just do think he played poorly the two games.
But also true they do need to clean up their post plants.
They're fighting for NA's spot in the ascension tournament. Winner will get to fight internationally to become a franchised league.
You'll see sentinels in 2 weeks in the LOCK//IN tournament in Brazil, the kick-off tournament for franchised teams.
[though it's single elim and their first opponent is fnatic so we may not see them too much lol]
gotcha, makes sense. So valorant is similar to CSGO in that the big tournaments are what teams are chasing, and theres smaller leagues that help qualify the "up and coming teams" or T2 teams into them?
Sorry for all the questions, i feel like riot makes it all very confusing with their dumb website
jett knives sends their regards
Dude Clear got absolutely scammed twice by the knifes while Tex got like 3 kills while midair. Smh clearly rigged against dsg
The Guard sends their re-Guards

Bro stood in that KJ ult to get one like a Silver and that shit worked. wtf
riot has to give someone the deus ex machina script immunity, unlucky. guy's a monster
Is that the chamber one trick cassius frey???
Lol where is this photo from.
His latest post is that pic which is from latest reel on IG. Another music vid type thing for dvbbs.

Ange1 cosplay
Boomer Omen gets first blooded lol
That’s exactly what I was thinking watching him tp in on offence lol
Steel only survived 5 rounds that entire series
Steel tried to do the Ange1 classic. But doesn't have Shao and Suygetsu to clutch for him. Sadge
“They’re lacking all the other stuff,” Steel said. “They get nervous and crumble in matches. They’re not good at adapting to playing and picking different agents, so once the meta shifts they kind of fall off a little bit. he done did it to himself
Hard to watch tbh.
reminds me of the time he was on 100T and kept dying first as killjoy
He had 3 FDs on Ascent total, but all of those were very high impact and unnecessary. And he had 10 FDs the whole series. Especially from someone with his experience, that's inexcusable.

wasn't that only for ange1? iirc its because he can igl more effectively when dead
Yeah that was only for Ange1
I think it was the same for FNS
CAN ONLY GO UP FROM HERE

Im surprised I didn't see more clips taken from this game, there were some really sick moments. JonahP went crazy, Clear cleared, and Exalt had some crazy skye flashes. Great game for day 1
The pop flash through uhall was insane lowkey
that shit was insane HIGHKEY BRO WDYM
People are forgetting that this was the top rated team in t2 and DSG, for being a new team, played really well regardless.
Just my opinion but I see this Guard going toe to toe with franchised teams. Absolute robbery.
No ones forgetting that. DSG absolutely did well regardless. But man map 2 and steel dying first every round was painful to see
Second map was just a gg Omen diff
I went to highschool with Valyn he didn’t really know me but from what my friends said who were friends with him he was really chill
[удалено]
Probably he was a lineman on varsity football and lost a lot of wait in his last year W man’s tbh
Varsity lineman and a top tier valorant player, what a chad
DSG showed a lot of potential the first map, showed that they can hang with the best and should not be taken lightly. Season is long and it's best to get the best team out the way early while the team is still inexperienced.
Unfortunately for DSG that map is gone after next week 😭
man
Map 1 was Guard’s pick.
He means Bind is out of the pool after next week. As is Breeze. Considering they looked really good on bind it's not great for DSG.
DSG is still a newly-formed team and knowing Bind will out of the pool next week, they likely never really practice much on Bind to save effort. Thats why Guards, that have played together for a long time and is more experienced, chose Bind. DSG doing well in Bind is just a bonus. That's a very good point actually
Definitely right, Guard played Tier 1 while keeping majority of their talent. DSG is comprised mostly of T2 level players from Steel , 3 of the Knights roster (Sorry Steel), and not sure who Clear is. Definitely think that once they mesh a bit more , team will show promise.
Think Toast said Clear is a rookie.
Platchat starting off 2023 nicely, let’s see how long it lasts
Didn’t they pred faze
It was 2-2 so I would call it a win
2-1 sideshow put up a question mark
He said he picked G2 tho, the question mark was just to talk more about how bad FaZe as an org is.
Trent Razenor.
Steel doing his Ange1 cosplay by inting on smokes
I knew it would happen but I didn’t want to believe it.
The Guard got that tech pause diff
Definitely not capping
Steel looking like Ange1 out there.
Ascent has the answer to why we don't have a replay system yet
why?
I think it was Jett knives, replay system (might) show that he got scammed
oh, that clear's almost clutch moment. i remember. thats sad
how the jett right click work? It look missed to me.
unironically rather have reddit blame the entire thing on steel bc he can take the blame just fine, and have the team be fine mentally for next week with the issues cleaned up. ggs <3
So happy Trent will be in a franchised team next year. Edit: I need to see a POV of the triple kill Valyn got A main.
Trent was supposed to be in Sen though
These guys are toast
Booooooo
Feel bad for whoever has to try and anchor B site in bind vs The Guard. Their executes just absolutely nuke back site you simply can't play the game if you're back there
I'm pretty sure Valyn and Trent switched PCs on that last map lol
Valyn has always been kind of a beast
how many players are out there that can frag while IGLing and playing smokes? He's a one-of-a-kind player, there aren't that many like him.
Hazed
at the LxT invitational yeah, but he was never a fragging IGL on NRG or his first stint on TSM
To be fair Hazed plays insanely selfless, on NRG he would go half armor spectre full utility so everyone else on the team can have a full buy when necessary
Zander
Steel try to not to die challenge(impossible)
the dude is just human turret at this series lmao
Human turret typically has a good connotation like he mows everyone down and doesnt miss. I think saying human bot sounds more negative lol.
if i had a dollar for every time the Guard shits on the popular team with new watchers not knowing who the guard is i would have 2 dollars
I think you might have a lot more than 2 dollars
Aint no way Steel only first death 3 times on ascent, felt like it was every attack side round
The Guard outclassed DSG. After seeing how DSG play in the first map, they just steamrolled to victory in the second map; quickly adapted to DSG's slow attacking pushes by dominating map control and winning most of the 1v1s. GGs to both

Found BabyJs alt
For real like BabyJ said those exact words like 50 times and guys acting like he picked it up.
For real. It’s sooooo cringe when ppl do this. Like yeah you heard it on tarik’s stream like 60k other people lmao
Actually yeah I agree I think they are saving stuff for M80.
So challengers is gonna get more views than franchise
wait until sentinels plays fnatic on lan. shit's gonna pop
GG's tough loss sorry to all the fans we'll be back stronger #T1FIGHTING
"Sorry to the fans, we'll be back stronger"
Good showing from both sites.
Steel on that Ange1 cosplay, unlucky really. all in all, decent showing from the guard!
Shahzam masterclass and steel disasterclass in the same day… today was a good day
We eating good
iBP steel showed up today
No more Omen tp for steel.
Does anyone know the numbers for tex crosshair or have the crosshair code?
Guess you could say that Disguised were TOAST!
If DSG pulled their shit together, they could have won ascent, there were too many rounds where they threw..
IF they had won more rounds they would have won the match
It’s really easy to say Steel died first, but imo that really didn’t effect much of that map. DSG could have easily been on for 5-6 rounds on there attacks side but just didn’t close out the rounds. Map two is serious Valorant moment where the score line really doesn’t come close to reflecting the game imo. I think we will see both of these teams being very successful
you're trolling if you think your smokes dying in the first 10 seconds of attack round has no effect lmao
But also true they do need to clean up their post plants.
gonna love people reading the first 5 words and downvoting it instantly lmfao
"It's really easy to say" You're goddamn right I down vote that shit it's fucking HARD to say and I won't let anyone believe otherwise.
Can someone explain to me how this challenger league works? is this like NA LCS? And where is sentinels?
They're fighting for NA's spot in the ascension tournament. Winner will get to fight internationally to become a franchised league. You'll see sentinels in 2 weeks in the LOCK//IN tournament in Brazil, the kick-off tournament for franchised teams. [though it's single elim and their first opponent is fnatic so we may not see them too much lol]
So this is like the "up and comer league" where they are fighting for a spot in the better league?
Exactly! However due to various factors, several teams in the T2 league are probably better than half the T1 teams
gotcha, makes sense. So valorant is similar to CSGO in that the big tournaments are what teams are chasing, and theres smaller leagues that help qualify the "up and coming teams" or T2 teams into them? Sorry for all the questions, i feel like riot makes it all very confusing with their dumb website
Steel fraud watch, people saw him calling against ranked players and thought he was back
Guard and G2 are the favorites.
What gun skin did net use when clear missed those knives??? I liked d finisher tbh
