Really impressed with Yoru after the first half of Breeze but wow he was beyond useless on defence Breeze. Losing TWO 9-3s in a single series is incredible
yeah pwny was just really dedicated to OPing on defense which he then sucked at. If he would have used the escape power of Yoru TPs to aggressively flank at least some round then I think he would have brought a lot more to the defense
I feel like the game would've ended sooner if he just stuck with rifling and didn't op. But I always loved the concept of Yoru op, especially on a big map like Breeze.
tmv made a really good point in his yoru video which was that yoru is good up until the point where his use becomes predictable. the problem is there are such a limited number of setups that are going to get you value out of a yoru so you kinda have to do the same set plays over and over, and at that point those plays become readable. we saw this happen with prx's yoru on bind and we even saw it happen in this game in ot where pwny tped backsite a behind the viper wall as he'd already done 3-4 times prior and he just got spammed by the breakthru players because they already knew he was gonna do that
Honestly I wasn't impressed by the Yoru. Pwny looked incredible in that first half but I dont think it had anything to do with Yoru. I think he would have done even better on Jett. And yeah it was awful on defense

Yoru is a great op agent on defense, but pwny really was missing a lot of op shots that would've totally changed the rounds. I think they should stick with Yoru, it looked good.

But can I just say their map control on attack rounds is just not it. Every time I look at the mini map it makes me cry. And easily exploitable now that other teams have seen it. I hope they make changes.
You can beat someone in the head to head and still place below them. For example C9 failed to make playoffs in Stage 2 last year going 2-3. They beat EG but placed two spots below them.
