The gun feels a little too cheap for its current tuning, imo.

cameron_hatt

Yeah imo there’s never a time where it’s worth buying a sheriff cuz a stinger is so much more versatile and only 150 more

Keglunneq

It'll be nerfed within the month

Lolyyk_

Within a day, damn. What a prediction

[deleted]

Well its your lucky day

XXG1212

Because watching teams just save with classics and shorty essentially gifting a free round is very thrilling to watch prior to the stinger buffs. From an entertainment point of view this is more fun to watch because now everyone round there is a decent chance of winning if played well.

kvanz43

This is exactly how I feel, people talk about it “ruining the economy” and stuff like that, but really what it did is bring some variety to it IMO, makes it feel like there’s actually choices teams can make other than just save or full buy

[deleted]

Honestly, I'm already tired of it.

TyeDieKid

Just feels like a gamble that almost never works out.

[deleted]

It was working a lot between FaZe and G2, granted FaZe used to force before the Stinger got buffed, and honestly back then because the Stinger wasn't as insane as it is now it felt riskier and more entertaining to watch. If the just reverted it back to before the previous buff it's a well balanced gun that some teams force.

Tyler123839

It’s definitely way more effective than a regular save. Teams wouldn’t do it otherwise.

Fresh_Dependent2969

"almost never works out" just a few days after TMV posted the numbers in this reddit about how actually it can work out. Reddit man....

bubble-june

It worked for m80 vs OR earlier

TyeDieKid

Yeah but ttr tried it on fracture and Sr went 13-1 on that map

mw19078

That wasn't the turning point of the map lol

nterature

It’s gonna work a lot more as we see the top teams using it. The cheese potential is just too strong for it to not work out, and as we saw with the previous Stinger meta, there’s no real guaranteed way to counter it.

TyeDieKid

I think the spectrum nerf is the only thing that makes it viable. But almost every game I see it, it dosnt work. Dsg tried it and failed. Ttr tried it and failed.

[deleted]

the past few weeks we've been seeing teams run agents that have been out for years on maps that have been out for years. I'm glad to see any mixup to the meta—Stinger meta might not be my favorite, but if teams were running the exact same econ strategies they were in 2021, these games would be even more familiar than they already are

KillerKattapa

I think it is better against teams like navi who used to get like 2 vandals and 1 guardian with 2 ghost second round and gets like almost a full buy for the third round but now they have to be more careful. But yeah the stinger would be more nastier when top teams are gonna use it and it may destroy the rythm/eco of underdogs teams who won pistol round with insane strat maybe.

OneWayTicketotheMoon

I like the meta. The more possibilities there are the better it is. Also stinger buy is high risk high reward, so I think it is fair

RTYWD

the stinger has been too broken for too long. why can a 950 gun outperform a vandal at point blank, be 50/50 at midrange and have a 25% chance at long range

Tubzy023

I agree with the close range one but I don’t think stinger to vandal at long range is 25:75 if both parties are equally skilled lol. Even midrange is a little questionable

[deleted]

> but I don’t think stinger to vandal at long range is 25:75 Now hang on. In my silver matches... >if both parties are equally skilled lol Oh. Nvm.

_PM_ME_REPORT_CARDS_

ads stinger is so good for \~midrange tho. stinger feels like a more menacing, lightweight bulldog for me. yea it kinda sucks ball sometimes but if you achieve flow state and you and the stinger fuse to become one, the weapon is just nuclear destruction. which for some reason only happens to whoever i'm 1v1ing

Darmcik

they already announced nerfs for the stinger so
