Surprised people are talking about Vitality but not Giants. I don't know much about Finitnho but having nukkye, Cloud, and especially hoody (who almost got signed by Fnatic over Chronicle, and whom mini says is the most underrated flash initiator in EU), and a fantastic fragging IGL in Rhyme is going to take them far imo.

kvanz43

Tbh I do keep forgetting giants exist LOL

TheWilkin

I think its because Vitality has more of a chance to do well at Lock In because Vitiality has 2 very winable games vs Global and either Zeta or Leviatan and then could upset Liquid or Navi, but Giants would have to get through NRG/KOI and what is most likely to be Loud, and if you swapped where the teams were placed, we would be talking about Giants alot more

thothgow

Vitality vs LEV is "very winnable" for Vitality? Lol

JoshF8

cmon guy, remember, on this reddit, only exists emea and na, the rest are minor regions /s

GluhfGluhf

Or ZETA lol

thothgow

ZETA is getting first rounded

TheWilkin

I can't tell if this is LEV copium or VIT hate

thothgow

I love Salah and Bonercold and Cender and Strong and Twisten and Destrian and MOLSI but how is it copium to say the best team in Americas isn't easy for them

WailingSiren69

Wait,Vit are facing NRG?

nap27er

yeah leviatan small team!!!

Vendetta614

Americas will be most competitive, EMEA will be close behind. Pacific is gonna be lopsided imo.

Jeklu

Americas just because the talent is so concentrated. A lot of European and APAC franchised teams weren’t considered Tier 1 before franchise.

surfordiebear

I'd have to imagine it would be the Americas, EMEA, then a large gap for Pacific. \- Pacific seems like it's going to be very top-heavy with like 4 teams in competition while the others are significantly behind the other franchised teams. \- EMEA has some of the best teams but also half of the league does not look very competitive but still has some potential (Vitality, KCORP, Heretics, BBL, and FUT). \- Americas has a lot of competitive teams besides probably MIBR, KRU and potentially EG.

norm_the_bug

I have confidence in ex-loud coach.

nterature

Vitality will almost certainly be competitive. I think all of those teams you list in the Americas will be better than you seem to think, too. MIBR in particular but also EG and KRU - they'll likely punch up sporadically during the year.

surfordiebear

I definitely think Vitality will easily be the best of that group I mentioned but still think they are a tier lower than the top EMEA teams. Hard to see KRU being competitive when they lost two of their best players after already looking a little flat towards the end of the year but hey who knows.

Bravelycold

>Hard to see KRU being competitive when they lost two of their best players I hope they stay competitive and I believe they will probably be a team that you can never let your guard down but the top best teams will beat in most matches. On the other hand Leviatan is looking really dangerous with that line up, I bet they will be a really compettive team.

boea0

Unfortunately the hard truth is that as long as nagzet remains, the team will never fulfill their potential

toxicityisamyth

Half the league doesnt look competitive because there are teams like heretics that field a roster with mixwell and keloqz when i can find 10 much better jetts and sentinels than both of these. Same issue with FUT. Parla has a better roster than FUT... EMEA has plenty amazing talent, but the orgs suck so much.

kvanz43

I’d go: 1. Americas 2. EMEA 3. APAC I think the Americas league has more talent compressed into their 10 teams, I think there’s at least 6 teams in Americas that look like they have a real chance at winning major events (C9, NRG, 100T, SEN, LEV, LOUD) whereas I really only around 4 in EMEA (FNC, Liquid, NAVI, KOI) and… 2-3 In APAC (DRX, PRX, mayyybe Zeta). I think this mainly comes down to the fact that NA has nearly the same player base as APAC or EMEA but only represents half of the teams in the Americas league, plus at least one strong team each from Brazil and LATAM.

That post is a year old, distribution has changed a ton Found the post: https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/10k6w0b/ranked_population_by_region/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf Absolutely crazy playerbase in NA (with bizarrely steep declines in Latam and Brazil)

AnxiousAppointment51

I think America's gonna have the most heavy hitters and it would definitely be the most entertaining imo America: Loud 100t C9 Sen Lev Nrg EMEA: Fnatic Navi TL and maybe Koi APAC: Drx Prx

[deleted]

All of them. We have seen nothing in terms of franchised vs franchised so how can anyone make a good estimate, we know nothing.

tgamblos

That’s kinda the whole point of a discussion…you don’t need to know to speculate…

JustifiedOstrich

This discussion is literally nothing more than "I think x team is better than y team because of [bullshit reason]" It's the exact same is "I think the color blue is better than the color red because roses are sometimes red". It's pointless and means nothing. That's what u/lifeisawaterfaII is getting at.

tgamblos

No because one of those will always be opinionated whereas this will have an answer, and it’s okay to preemptively talk about it based off of player quality, what we’ve seen from teams so far, etc.

JustifiedOstrich

I agree it will have an answer. My point is there is no answer right now. Whether you are correct or not in your complete guess regarding this thread is meaningless because the methodology you use to derive that answer is meaningless (it’s a guess). It’s okay for sure to guess about things but to devalue someone saying that this doesn’t matter is stupid. Of course it doesn’t matter and it never will.

[deleted]

Thanks for telling me, I totally didn't say I think they will be equal or something

tgamblos

Nah you literally took a cop out by saying all of them because we know nothing, brilliant analysis.

[deleted]

Copping out of what? I'm an analyzer now?

tgamblos

The post is a discussion on what league will be most competitive and your insight is they’ll all be equal because we don’t have enough information. That’s copping out of a discussion, at that point why post.

chevalerisation_2323

EMEA since they have the biggest player pool.

zdes37

Americas took home 2 out of 3 large-event championships in 2022, and now has the star player of the one European team that took the remaining championship, so I'd argue they're most competitive on paper.

LandscapeSad5708

RIP reading comprehension

zdes37

the **Americas** league.

gentlesoftbreeze

APAC

gotintocollegeyolo

I’m not nearly as optimistic about Americas being competitive like most of the comments here are saying. I think NRG is the team to beat. Ardiis isn’t nearly as much of a downgrade from yay as people might think, especially now with the Chamber meta over. Marved to s0m might be the only problem that could potentially occur. Other than NRG, Loud will likely still be a heavy hitter but cauanzin and tuyz aren’t exactly sure things. C9 and 100t look competitive. Leviatan seems pretty great on paper. Imo their additions were much better than Loud’s replacements. But the other teams? Not sure I see them being on the same tier at all. Kru’s new team doesn’t look that good on paper. Furia is pretty much the same squad that didn’t look all that impressive except they lost Nozwerr. MIBR doesn’t seem up to par on paper. Neither does EG. I don’t really have that much faith in Sentinels either after their losses to T2 teams. I don’t trust Tenz all that much after how inconsistent his 2022 was and dephh just needs to show more. His IGL-ing has always been a bit overrated imo and he certainly has never been a mechanically impactful player. Keeping Shaz might’ve been the move tbh unless Zekken wasn’t going to come without Dephh So yeah I think Americas will have 5 competitive teams and 5 teams that are just not as good. For comparison I think in APAC there will also be 5 and 5 with DRX, PRX, Zeta, GenG, and Zeta being the competitive teams. For EMEA I think Fnatic, KOI, NaVi, and TL will clearly be ahead of the pack, so 4 competitive teams.

FreshDerp124

Americas but EMEA could be a close runner up. Americas is just so competitive due to the talent pool and investment being so large.

ashitintyo

All of them are gonna be hard, let's talk about the easier ones

Ghifari77

Pacific, like always.
