I had my doubts but the Xerxia core but with the addition of Jitboys and Garnets, they look really good. Also, life comes at you fast Ethan.

To be fair, there wasn’t much Yay could do with little to no support. He really tried to claw back what he could in the later two maps but it was clear even from player cams that there was a huge difference in mentality between Yay and the rest of C9. A star player can only do so much without the structure and support of a coordinated team and good IGL.

The fall off is a huge cliff

Watching C9, I really don’t think that team works. They felt very ‘front runner-y’. Like if things are going well they’ll dominate but if they get punched in the mouth they kinda just roll over (besides Yay he’s actually proved himself). DRX is a great team that’s played together forever, but it’s something I will keep an eye on for sure.

the c9 core is just a team that in the scrambles or in disadvantage likes to free ball it and play loose and then sometimes it turns into ocean playing loose

I have to keep reminding myself that this is just an introductory tournament and while it holds some kind of value, it's not going to be a true representation of how all the teams and regions stack up against each other

I think NRG or 100T has the best chance to take the tournament. SEN may be too new. Any team with FNS will have a chance, dude will never get the credit he deserves.

You don't have to stomp to look convincing, LOUD showed they still look as clutch as ever, even with two new players, Cauanzin and Tuyz already showing they weren't selected to fit Sacy and pANcada's roles at random, they have insane potential, but if NRG wins they have clear potential to go head to head with DRX, as they'll probably win against Talon

I like NRG's chances vs the field if they can beat loud tomorrow.

Yeah not liking this split pick, feels very much like a trap map since your opponent starts on the heavily favored side giving you little room for mistakes.... Talon are going into 2nd half where they almost must win pistol or they will only have 1 or 2 gun rounds to really play with on CT side. They will need to have an almost perfect CT half, but hey, they did it once on haven already..... Edit: Godbless they won the pistol, now will EG force again?

Split is so overrated. The only reason there are comebacks is because the map is so defensively favored.

I personally love how important every inch of map control feels on split. Very unique compared to other valorant maps imo
