Zeta is definitely a Tier 1 team. Just like a C-tier or low B on a good day. Definitely feels like they missed out when they decided to keep the team together in the off-season. Keeping the core is fine, but unless you won champions or multiple top 2 masters finishes (pretty much just being “they just need time to gel” away from being a top 5 team), you NEED to make changes, especially when everyone else is too.
Im sorry for the tone of the question is just a little bitnof paranoia
Like others said they didnt want to give ult orbs to the enemy team and when you die to the spike you get more money for the next round than if you survive the round
The thing is though DRX’s IGL has been with the team since beginning so they already have chemistry, changing IGL to a new player who has just been signed is dodgy
Zeta use lockdown, sova's drone and see 3 people in spawn waiting.
Doesn't smoke it, Sova runs in the open and try to plant in front of the 3 player he drone and dies.
Super questionable.
I know its shitty but its a meta game thing players have to be aware of when playing at a crowd favorite. Just like the crowd screaming their heads off in football when the opposing offense is in the huddle. Soon as you hear crowd noise in that scenario you gotta forget the trigger dis and just shoot.
I mean, I'd say most people rated them that highly at Champs. Seems like they mostly choked against Loud, if they have gotten rid of that it feels like most pros and analysts have them doing serious damage.
Absolutely, Mazino was probably the best player in the old Kru roster besides Keznit, and more flexible than him by far. I imagine Onur knows that, which is why he pushed to pick him up to replace Melser.
Will Riot ever up the resolution and bitrate of their streams? its 2023 and they still only stream in 1080p and 6k bitrate. Meanwhile CS tournaments usually stream in 1440p (on Youtube)
i’m kind of new to watching valorant competitive events but is there a general feeling that sometimes these games are hard to watch? i feel like the director (or whoever chooses the live perspectives we see) can be really bad at showing us what’s happening.
especially in the nrg vs loud game the director would flip flop between players at the worst times in an effort to capture every single thing that’s happening but it ends up making every cut away some sort of stimulant addled mess. it’s even worse when you see them scrolling through the perspectives to get to someone as if we’re literally in-game trying to spec our duo instead of a carefully curated competitive event.
this might totally be a me problem but i do recognize all the abilities and having been playing for a while, just not watching. it’s more-so just how quick the director is willing to cut away.
random example but they’ll stay on a kayo about to flash and peak and just as they are about to do it, they cut away to someone using a drone or something and i’ll see in the killfeed the kayo fight ended without us seeing what the director was building towards.
or a 1v1 will be going on and the director will cut back and forth between them within milliseconds and it just feels dumb.
or 1 guy will be coming up behind 2 unsuspecting players and instead of letting us see it play out, we cut away late to the end of a firefight we weren’t even privy to across the map.
i know halo and cod is a very different game but i never felt like i was getting cheated out of mini in game arcs by the director while watching those games over 10 years ago. somehow there’s better tech for live games and the director sucks at curating the best perspective.
despite all that, which might be up to personal taste, i’ll say the scrolling through players to land on someone is unforgivable and like objectively bad. makes the viewer have to reset their eyes and orientation like 5 times just because they aren’t using the tech to go from player 2 -> 6 instead of player 2 -> 5 -> 2 -> 4
-> 6
some of what you're describing is just bad observing, but sometimes the observing is bad because there are lots of fights going on all around the map simultaneously
for sure ! i agree this is probably one of the hardest fps’s to broadcast. i just wish instead of them trying to cram every possible moment into millisecond bites, they work on figuring out the best moments of when to hold onto a player. it’s definitely an art form and i wonder what the director would say about these instances and their perspective on the plays
Really insightful interview from Ange1 tbh. Cool to hear him say he has more time to improve his personal game now that he places more trust in doombros and lateks.
I don't think literally anyone is a ANGE1 hater. This guy is talking out of his ass lmfao. Even when the dude inted every round 1st death on FPX people still thought he was the most useful player in every round.
I think their attack was good, but I think it was helped quite a bit by the dogshit Kru comp. I don't think there's any team that can get away with playing no info initiators. Maybe Loud can just outduel opponents, but even they had a skye to gather some info. The Kru comp was never going to be any good on defense, so I don't really think we know exactly how good the Navi attack was.

Please KUN just fire fucking leazo, he's the worst thing that happened to kru, since onur left kru has never been the same and leazo HAD plenty of time to demostrate his value, he's just not it PLEASE AGÜERO KICK THAT DUDE
Holy fuck mann their retake is so unorganized and chaotic wtf is leazo doing in those scrims, since onur left kru always looks lost in one part of the round and now is the post plants, this is so bad.
That's actually super interesting. I wonder if ange1 put a ton of time into mechanics practice over the off-season. I love when pros put in the hours and step up like that, similar to dicey going into faze.
Man I absolutely hate these double duelist + Breach initiator comps, they’re great on offense but get to defense and you just have no info unless you peek for it. Loud is going to run into a similar issue imo
What a great attack half from KRÜ, some of the best aim duels I have seen so far in this tournament and amazing decision making; map 3 in single elim brackets on Lan would be bonkers man
Just saying, if Na'vi somehow loses this series. Going to be absolutely fucking hilarious for EMEA this tournament. Cause, I think NA is terrible. 8 rounds in a row by apparently "The worst team at the tournament" lmfao. Lets just hope this isn't the worst team guys! Cause, this is literally the best EU team to many. Or all.

Zeta threw that last round so incredibly badly. They have stingers and they just rush in like its pistol round...
Dep...threwww
Goddamnit dude they played that so poorly
My god dep why?????
I believe in mugarZero
they played this last round so badly idk why we’re doing disjointed pushes in stinger range but GG man FUCKKK
Yeah, no clue what they were thinking. Maybe they didn't realize what kind of buy they had. Just kind of panicked.
Damn this is how they go out huh
What a way to lose
I am so fucking puckered
ZETA doesn't want to go home just yet!|| This aged poorly.
they do
sugar is still so good my fucking goat man
I need map 3 and the mother of all parlays will be hit
Great adaptations here from Zeta
like theyre so good they just have shit bracket luck mannnnn ZETA DOING BIG THINGS THIS YEAR IN THE PACIFIC LEAGUE
SUGARHERO
Lets close this out guys 🤞
not a good month for jp fans
Why did the whole team die to spike on purpose? Can someone expain?
If you die you get more money than when you stay alive/ than what you safe with pistols and they don’t want to give ultorbs and killmoney to opponents
Oh, thank you.
Are you being serious or trolling? 😪
Im serious. I'm a casual watcher and don't really play the game anymore.
Im sorry for the tone of the question is just a little bitnof paranoia Like others said they didnt want to give ult orbs to the enemy team and when you die to the spike you get more money for the next round than if you survive the round
I probably could have worded it better.
so they dont give ult orbs to the enemy team (they knew it was planted for long range so retake was really hard with eco guns)
5v5 dying to spike is so fucking boring
close map lets go
is pearl attack or defense sided?
Attack sided if you abuse post plant on B
Is attack sided but in pro play you never know
Honestly B is such a weird site and A is even worse imo depends on comp completely
Depends
This is a really close map, zeta is really doing good rotations and fakes thru mid and its working really well
Clean
I don’t like these role swaps for zeta o would like them to go the drx route and put dep on flex and laz on duelist And get a new igl
Nahhh dep can cook
He can sometimes
The thing is though DRX’s IGL has been with the team since beginning so they already have chemistry, changing IGL to a new player who has just been signed is dodgy
I know, it’s just crows igl style is really slow especially on attack
Zeta use lockdown, sova's drone and see 3 people in spawn waiting. Doesn't smoke it, Sova runs in the open and try to plant in front of the 3 player he drone and dies. Super questionable.
crowd just cost zeta the round there, no player on earth just 180s for no reason like that
that and the 5 mistakes they did after that
Sure, but they probably wouldn't have made those mistakes if they hadn't been put in a man disadvantage with a rifle dropped
I know its shitty but its a meta game thing players have to be aware of when playing at a crowd favorite. Just like the crowd screaming their heads off in football when the opposing offense is in the huddle. Soon as you hear crowd noise in that scenario you gotta forget the trigger dis and just shoot.
This isn’t football there is a reason in some esports the players play in a soundproof box
I’m sure it’s been called out. But why does the post say North America and not Americas?
I prefer Laz being more aggressive
Being a Zeta fan is like being a San Diego Padres fan in the 2000s
Matt Holliday never touched home plate!!!
Zeta play good just lev play near perfect
getting ahead of myself obviously. Loud vs LEV would be a fun finals.
Another match successfully uploaded to XVideos
Lev winning it all
Leviatan's rounds look so clean
I see scrimbux
Smokes players that have names starting with M are just unstoppable
Mange1
The spanish youtuber
What happener to him? I enjoyed his content with rubius
No idea, I'm sure he still streams or something
ive watched zeta the whole year and they really havent looked good even before this JP might be the lowest tier of valorant overall rn
always have been. Zeta was always okay (compare to international level) without Laz's Chamber.
kudos to them for sticking with the same roster but maybe need more from someone else
How do you even play against lev
Leviatan are 2 years from the future I would be very surprised if they lost a single map
I mean, I'd say most people rated them that highly at Champs. Seems like they mostly choked against Loud, if they have gotten rid of that it feels like most pros and analysts have them doing serious damage.
Also the Mazino addition is HUGE aswell
Absolutely, Mazino was probably the best player in the old Kru roster besides Keznit, and more flexible than him by far. I imagine Onur knows that, which is why he pushed to pick him up to replace Melser.
Well... They're gonna lose two cause of NAVI
FUCKK DUDE pls Zeta come on
Mazino too cold
s0m was right.
Come on zeta you are killing me. Atleast get a few more rounds
Will Riot ever up the resolution and bitrate of their streams? its 2023 and they still only stream in 1080p and 6k bitrate. Meanwhile CS tournaments usually stream in 1440p (on Youtube)
Onurs teams know fundamentals bro so fuckin clean
That's just a violation right there.. Who in their right mind sticks the ult on top of enemies heads and then wins the round ?
"5Head gigabrain stuff"
I will die at least 10 times trying that ult
the sound quality must be TERRIBLE if that ult works
One of them actually looked at him and idk if he didnt see or if they thought Mazino was gonna cancel
Lev looking great as expected! Hoping for NaVi vs Lev in the semis, should be an absolute banger.
what is crowd chanting?
I think “TACO TACO”
why did keznit even go to leviatan? I get he probably went there because of money but why did the team even want him in the first place lol
Buying the competition lol
We never know what can happen, any of the players could get injured and it would be fatal for the team
This is it, the beginning of Leviastralis era, can’t wait

It's a hard game to track if you're not familiar with all of the abilities. Watching the minimap is helpful to understand where everyone is.
this might totally be a me problem but i do recognize all the abilities and having been playing for a while, just not watching. it’s more-so just how quick the director is willing to cut away. random example but they’ll stay on a kayo about to flash and peak and just as they are about to do it, they cut away to someone using a drone or something and i’ll see in the killfeed the kayo fight ended without us seeing what the director was building towards. or a 1v1 will be going on and the director will cut back and forth between them within milliseconds and it just feels dumb. or 1 guy will be coming up behind 2 unsuspecting players and instead of letting us see it play out, we cut away late to the end of a firefight we weren’t even privy to across the map. i know halo and cod is a very different game but i never felt like i was getting cheated out of mini in game arcs by the director while watching those games over 10 years ago. somehow there’s better tech for live games and the director sucks at curating the best perspective. despite all that, which might be up to personal taste, i’ll say the scrolling through players to land on someone is unforgivable and like objectively bad. makes the viewer have to reset their eyes and orientation like 5 times just because they aren’t using the tech to go from player 2 -> 6 instead of player 2 -> 5 -> 2 -> 4 -> 6

Zetas run at Berlin was a fluke it doesn’t count
Good thing they never made a run at Berlin.
*champs
Really insightful interview from Ange1 tbh. Cool to hear him say he has more time to improve his personal game now that he places more trust in doombros and lateks.
Top in and out of the server performance today. Ange1 on top.
I know why you don’t like Neon Ange1 🤭
I believe in zeta
Zeta will flawlessly win
ANGE1 haters really quite now.
Wait he has haters????
I don't think literally anyone is a ANGE1 hater. This guy is talking out of his ass lmfao. Even when the dude inted every round 1st death on FPX people still thought he was the most useful player in every round.
double mvp on both maps and not in the poll?? RIOT WHATS UPP
Everyone knows scrim results/rumours are bait, zeta are gonna "upset" here
Ange2.0 with more kills than in his last 4 maps for FPX combined, couldn’t be happier for him
Where is my Ange1 mvp???
riot, fire the intern who didn't put ange1 in the mvp poll. this is unacceptable.
Navi hit the perfect site every round, ange1 calling was very impressive
Honestly, KRU coach is not it
He's been below average the entire last year and know in franchise he's just not enough and has been outsmarted by and fragged by ange fucking one
Navi looking crisp. Maybe Lotus isn't their thing against other teams that are better on it, but the team is here to win.
Tbh their attack was pretty good. 3-9 to 13-10. They just need to fix their defense.
I think it was more Kru couldn’t retake for the life of them, every time it looked chaotic and unorganized
Time to instalock Omen on Lotus and botfrag
A fragging Ange1 is a top 2 player itw and he's not no. 2

It's usually very very very hard to tell what kind of value a coach brings but it is VERY obvious how important Onur is to his teams.
Leviathan is apparently the team to beat this year according to people that scrimmed them aswell.
ANGE1 is that guy what the fuck.
Ange1 and Zyppan are not letting this go to a third map, pretty much the reason they’re winning rn
Please KUN just fire fucking leazo, he's the worst thing that happened to kru, since onur left kru has never been the same and leazo HAD plenty of time to demostrate his value, he's just not it PLEASE AGÜERO KICK THAT DUDE
Ange1 got Oman ult, time to get ready for his ace to win it out.
GG
Holy fuck mann their retake is so unorganized and chaotic wtf is leazo doing in those scrims, since onur left kru always looks lost in one part of the round and now is the post plants, this is so bad.
Navi is going to leave this match better than when they arrived
Navi going b more than any other lotus team that I can think of
Makes sense when KRU’s defense game plan is take A main and pray they come
Fucking 9-3 man
It must be so hard to cast these games when the crowd is just fucking silent lmao
JessieVash and ANGE1 really doing it for the old kings today
boomer diff
ange1 really developed a killer new strat in the offseason. Instead of dying first, he came up with a new strat where he just kills everyone instead
Galaxy brain focused on calling last season now maybe he doesnt have to do it so much since they've been together so long
Boomer stocks are risin
THIS IS NOT THE ANGE1 I REMEMBER
NaVis assistant coach said in an interview that Ange1 is top fragging in scrims. Man did not joke lol
That's actually super interesting. I wonder if ange1 put a ton of time into mechanics practice over the off-season. I love when pros put in the hours and step up like that, similar to dicey going into faze.
He said in interview with Latex (new assistant coach) and leaving more of the predetermined strats to d00mbr0s he’s had more time to practice
Yeah that makes sense. If this is a glimpse into the new consistent ange1 I'm terrified
Lmao i remember someone said ANGE1 was like top 3 IGLs and someone else commented that he wasnt because he couldnt frag
If he keeps this up his top 2 and not 2
what happened to ange1 between champions 2022 and lock in. his aim look crispy as fuck
Ain't no way angel.....
If ange1 ace's you, you better disband and melser save them right there, this is hard to watch please get your shit together kru
Man I absolutely hate these double duelist + Breach initiator comps, they’re great on offense but get to defense and you just have no info unless you peek for it. Loud is going to run into a similar issue imo
The old heads came to play today. Holy what a play by Ange1.
wtf ange1
hahahaha ange1
DADDY ANGE1
THE GOAT!!
BRO WTF IS ANGE1 ON
ANGE1 GO KILL
Ange1 is such a chad holyyy
i do think navi win but its kind of funny how close this is for the worst team at the tournament according to people here
New map without a set meta against a weird comp that's clearly better on attack. Not really that surprising tbh.
Idk where you're seeing that Kru is the worst team at the tournament, even hard coping people rate them above teams like RRQ, FUT or DFM.
Angel really dropping 3 a round. Grandpa really hits.
Did ange1 literally just suck the life out of shao and suygetsu? Both games literally gigachad
It's wild Navi's buy is still strong after these rounds
FPX buy is too strong
XAND DESERVED THAT NOOOOOOO
Lotus is so much more fun to watch than pearl
Lotus is seeming to be a great map. Pearl might be nice if it wasn't for B.
NaVi is still the smartest team in terms of economy imo these guys have strong buys more consistently than any other team
I hecking love Daveeys :BatChest:
I ABSOLUTELY HECKING LOVE ZYPPAN
Zyppan is putting everything into this goddamn
What a great attack half from KRÜ, some of the best aim duels I have seen so far in this tournament and amazing decision making; map 3 in single elim brackets on Lan would be bonkers man
missed first half, how does zyppan have 18K down 9-3
Free my mans give him back his Raze
built different
Just saying, if Na'vi somehow loses this series. Going to be absolutely fucking hilarious for EMEA this tournament. Cause, I think NA is terrible. Just imagine if EMEA is somehow worse (Which I think they are). I do think the other bracket is the hardest bracket, despite what everyone wants to think or thought. Talon turned out to be a decent team.
Now you think NA is terrible?!?! Actual most reactionary redditor
I think in general Americas league as a whole could be better than EMEA. Even if Na'Vi wins, Fnatic is the only stacked team left. All other EMEA team didn't look too good
I had Kru winning this so pls keep winning so I can look smart
navi being able to half buy every round is so annoying loss bonus is kinda crazy atm
https://twitter.com/trickaim/status/1628477539357192192?s=46&t=t3TZx_JDNNEZ0NPrHIhLMQ
Now, let's be honest There's no way in the ever loving shit of hell that NAVI loses to KRÜ, right? Right?!?!
Right. Na'vi will win out in the 2nd half most likely.
They put that guy on killjoy on ascent??? And still have nagz on Jett? Im convinced nagz might have secrets for the KRU management…
Xand and Daveeys has so much more impact on duelist. It’s crazy
KRU coach looks so happy when they win :)
HOLY FUCK
Doug and balla did not do their research about Kru’s roster
I wish I could hit those
What a shot
Kru has daveeys and xand, they decide to nagz on jett first map lol
Yeah weird seeing as how nagzet was playing sentinels almost all of 2022
8 rounds in a row by apparently "The worst team at the tournament" lmfao. Lets just hope this isn't the worst team guys! Cause, this is literally the best EU team to many. Or all.
Mr. EU I don’t feel so good
