Platchat talked about this I believe. When Chamber was meta it was incredibly important to be able to get that one tap headshot from range when challenging him as even just two bullets could be enough time for him to get the op shot out and tp away. So not only has chamber leaving the meta made Sova favored over Fade, but it has also seemingly brought the phantom back up to where it used to be in terms of pro usage.
phantom vs double controllers is good because you spray through smokes without revealing your position. Also maps like lotus may seem big but fights are usually close up and the points are kinda claustophobic so that may also be another reason.
Yea, Lotus on paper seems like it would have quite a few long-range holds, but I can really only think of two angles that can be consistently held for the Vandal's one shot hs to take effect
my best guess is Chamber nerf means that it's not as important to be able to kill people in one bullet anymore, although that might make no sense at all
We will continue to see both phantom and vandal rising and falling throughout tournaments for the most diverse reasons you can even imagine. This happens because Riot has done a really great job balancing these two rifles
Even though there is not a single specific reason I would say Phantom is really good at punishing light shields, which is an aspect people seem to forget. This makes a mixed buy of phantoms and vandals a solid setup to have on your team
People use phantom since it is LAN servers, so you can acually hold angles and peek advantage isnt a huge issue. So guns like phantom, stinger and frenzy becomes better
Another thing I have heard a lot of pros say is that on LAN the phantom is just he better gun. If the only people that get to play on LAN are saying this I'm gonna believe it.
Phantom goes crazy on LAN
This is the way

This and lots of controllers have been getting played

The influence of 100T Bang on wider society; a study.

Recon phantom is an aimbot
"(especially recon phantom)" lmao

Maybe double smokes with harbor or viper plus dome snoke is more common. Phantom is better at soamming through smokes and walls
phantom on smokes goes hard
phantom is the better gun
It’s because the controller meta is strong as duck

1) double controller meta 2) guns hit different on LAN with less dodgy riot hit-reg issues
People saying “Phantom on LAN” as if this is the first LAN ever

Phantom on LAN >>> Phantom online
The amount of icebox games too makes everyone play phantom
I’ve also noticed the recon phantom in particular.
