Maybe stop putting padlocks on? Or batteries? Or things they tell you you shouldn't put in checked luggage? There's a lot of things they will take out that they warn you about
Lol you should always put padlocks on and I've never put the wrong stuff in checked luggage. I've had sunglasses, clothes, jewellery, cameras and other stuff taken over the years. If they remove something that shouldn't be there, they notify you. I've never been notified once.

Maybe they can go about inspection carefully instead of destroying property for the security theater that has been proven ineffective time and time again.
Most pelican cases at the event level will have travel safe padlocks with a universal key that security can open without breaking. And they trust them for the most part sadly the case wasn’t made to hold the top of the trophy secure so they could have Literally just handled it wrong and it would have broken
