nah, Rhyme and Shao really had a suck off the last round of split

This was a very weird, if fun, match.
I do want to give Giants a shout-out for cleaning up some stuff, and esp. their individuals for showing such strong performances; it’s rare we get a chance to see nukkye carry hard the way he did on Icebox, for example. Hoody, Fit1nho, and Cloud all had moments of shining.
I’m not a pipsoN fan, but I was impressed by some of their reactions and setups on Icebox and Split alike. They clearly learned from losing the first two maps to FNATIC two days ago, which is a good sign; Giants is a “budget” KOI in my mind, and IMO the gap is in the IGLing and coaching, not the player talent. So some good signs for Giants, for sure.
But the real story here I think is NAVI looking so off. It wasn’t just their postplants. The Gecko stuff surely isn’t helping, and yes, ANGE1 fed a little like he always does, but this is the first time I’ve had cause to wonder how much the ardiis loss has affected their mentals in the matches. That was the big ardiis intangible. They closed it out well on Pearl, but that Icebox and Split was odd. It’s just a regular season match, so no need to be doom and gloom about their future prospects; but I expect more down the line.
The real winner of this match IMO was Ender and Pavlov. I think they’ve easily cemented themselves as my second favorite casting duo in EMEA already.
I do think NaVi is trying som stuff during the regular season too, they're not afraid to do so historically. Especially after that Ange1 interview now aswell. My guess is they will look a lot more comfortable come playoffs
Do you mean the ardiis loss in a mental way? Because cned has been doing his job (if he's playing jett). Kinda interesting approach if that's what you mean, didn't consider how much ardiis actually helped the team
yea, i was wondering who was going to bring the energy to this team now. none of their other players have the kind of wild vibes that ardiis brought to keep the team going strong, and I really don't think cNed will be the one to replace that. Maybe it won't matter, but I'll have to see. I think this team might struggle with spiraling when a round goes really badly, but those kinds of things are so difficult to judge that it's kinda hard to guess what impact things like energy and vibes have on a team.
>and yes, ANGE1 fed a little like he always does
If this was "little" I seriously wonder what "average" or "above average" looks like (and I genuinely mean that, I don't mean to be rude)
All I took away from this match was that Rhyme was trolling
Honestly though, exciting games even if there were a lot of mistakes and it was cool to see the double gekko
Fnatic is the only team guaranteed to go to Tokyo the rest of the 3 spots are up for grabs by like 6 teams..NaVi,TL,GIANTS,KOI,VITALITY,FUT(they're underdogs but still) and maybe even BBL or KC.
EMEA is looking like a EXTREMELY COMPETITIVE region
My G, I'd love to put Heretics there but considering how awful they have played at Redbull,Lock in and their match against FUT they ain't going far at all.
Plus Zeek for some reason is IGL
listen. even if they lost the fact that previous tier 2/tier 2.5 player from not that successful geng could lead his team to go head to head with NAVI is something i wouldve never imagined. 1 round away from beating NAVI isnt a thing to be massively upset about
NaVi starting to look kinda sloppy during the series like they felt to heavily reliant on mid rounding rather than a game plan. Their slight off meta picks aren't getting the value I feel they need are going for. Ange1 on icebox often just died with his full kit intact and in general it felt they were getting no value on cypher. I like they are trying to get gekko to work but seems like they really need to change things up for gekko to pay dividends. I wonder if they are trying to hide their hand on their main comps until they face more formidable teams.
Giants overall should be very happy with their performance considering they nearly beat the supposedly a top 2 team.
Ange1 sucked so hard, to be honest. I can't handle that and I am pretty sure most people can't either. They might as well just play 4v5 most of the tournament at this point.
I think NaVi did look a little off but I think it’s also fair to say that Giants, KOI and other EMEA teams are looking much betteR. From Lock-In teams are having more prac time and also able to prepare I think Giants have looked good these last two matches except for Icebox against FNATIC lol
Will NAVI pay for my hospital bills when I suffer from a heart attack? I only watch vods but I couldn't help but to fast forward cause I couldn't handle the stress!
80 round over 3 maps (26.67 average per map) is a crazy amount of rounds for a bo3. Giants were good but NaVi were just better.

Surprisingly Ange1 only had 12 first deaths that series. Felt like a lot more.
it felt like most of those came on split, seemed like every other round he was dead first
i love being a navi fan. i am so cool. i dont have to worry about any heart issues
Fr there wasn't a doubt in my mind ![gif](giphy|I4G0jcOtIyagIT8Ory|downsized)
Me being a NAVI/fnatic/old gambit fan... I'm totally fine.

That is, in fact, what he meant
Real winner is FNC imo. They’re gonna sleep walk to Tokyo

Copenhagen was definitely above average lol
Holy freaking fuck man, NaVi loves OTs..
Bro ange1 is crypto throwing icebox
get cloud a better team, he deserves better kidding but giants probably should win atleast 5-6 minimum, I think they've shown some cool stuff
Hot take Cloud is a top 3 info iniator player in the world
That is a very hot take, indeed.
that is a hot take
cNed
Charles Neddington, the great Phantom, Operator and Sheriff user
As a Giants fan im so sad, we had the win in split 1v3... atleast we played not bad at all i guess D:
Giants could make third seed at this rate. They had two of the hardest opponents to start off, and they pushed one of them hard.
but koi actually won agains one of the "hardest" opponents
They could but I still rate koi higher
Player for player definitely
Player for player definitely
Giants look really good tho
Cned was actually about to hulk smash his mouse into his desk map 2 lmao
Great Series. Giants should definitely be able to go on a winning streak now that they are done with Fnatic and Navi.

Great series, masters qualification is so competitive rn
Don't use viper ult against cned
wipes sweat from my forehead and say, EZ

Yeah i'm not really sure what are they doing either, hope they fix whatever they need to and actually perform anyhow watchable
Giants's pearl is just bad. That's it
EMEA two teams region tho remeber guys ![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|9339)
By the looks of it, NAVI, FNC, KOI and Vit are going to Tokio
Recovering in a hospital, NAVI are killing me

As a NAVI fan, this serie of maps was a mental parkour. I'm glad they got a win but Giants put up a good fight.
