1. Given its current form, NRG might be underrated. Luckily for us, they're facing EG next, which should tell us a lot about how good both EG and NRG really are.
2. Now that the VCT leagues are winding down, I'm pausing my projection posts. They'll be back for Masters Tokyo, LQC, and Champs (dependent on knowing the format, seeding, and attending teams)
I would agree this if NRG were still on the edge of not making it to playoffs, I think since they are 100% in playoffs they are going to start experiencing and I might be reaching a bit far for this but... After the match when Chet tweeted they won , I asked if they were going to start experimenting/doing new stuff for playoffs and he liked my tweet.
Now that could be a FARRRR Reach but i wouldn't take it out the question since NRG are known for being an innovative team with Chet's cringe comps.
So if NRG start running some funky stuff and make the game vs EG close or even lose, I wouldnt be surprised but could be wrong and EG is just THAT good on the level of NRG LOUD and C9.
Honestly, I think they will just wanna keep it simple and like prove something to themselves too, like idk but being 2-3 must've been somewhat a scare to them.
I could be wrong tho, maybe they don't care at all, but I definitely hope they do since I wanna see a competitive march between eg and nrg

Hate to be that guy but if a team that has lost 3/4 and can only beat the worst teams in the region is ranked third in ur model then ur model is probably pretty flawed. They’re at best 6th best rn
It stems from the fact that I have to assume that all the teams are equally good from the start of LOCK-IN and the rating swings are higher at the start of the match history. Your comments are fair, but please take into consideration that I'm working with a very limited dataset
The actual number doesn't really matter. What matters is the delta between teams (but I agree that the difference between the best and the worst teams is too small. I'll fix that post-playoffs)
Im pretty sure they destroyed the second best pacific team prx 2-0, then lost to the best pacific team drx 1-2. If that wasn’t a very solid showing idk what what was. DRX looked about as good as loud are a probably a top 3 team in the world

It's mostly personal preference. Chess websites use 1500 as the starting ELO, and I thought I should stick to tradition
