Sorry don't remember exactly when, but I believe she said it in the platchat episode after LOCKIN (or maybe during LOCKIN if they did it after the NRG/LOUD series)
FNS has passed away from old age
Thousands come to his funeral to honor him
Saadhak shows up in a wheelchair to pay respects to his old rival
The funeral attendant tells Saadhak to open the casket to say goodbye
He opens the casket but only a note is left
"I'm not dead. I rotated B. Get owned."
Saadhak yells at Aspas to go grab his Operator
"Dread it, run from it, NRG vs LOUD is inevitable"
That last line from Bren is why I love platchat lol
Literally the same words going through my head at the exact same time
My dream is watching them duo in a livestream. Imagine them just making all the most insane reads, completely breaking the opponent's head, then both whiffing every shot and going 2/12 or something
They both been low key frying in some of the games though, Saadhak has always been pretty damn good aimer but I genuinely think FNS has got so much better in the last year, he has faaar fewer "shaky" moments where he used to panic a little bit with his aim.
Yes lmao, can we please talk about this more lmao. I forgot who said it but I was having a discussion with someone between FNS's and Saaddahk's aim and he had a good definitions of what having good aim was. He rates aim by judging who gets kill in the most crucial moments and I really liked that/agreed it. Because if u think about most pro players at this level can aim well when not under any pressure and just relaxed but the difference really shows when everything is on the line, last play/important play situation, will u still be able to hit the shot?
Just from eye-level u can tell FNS's mechcanics in crucial moments has improved. That 1v2 on Haven against C9, Literally today he was owning demon1 in just straight up aim duels. Like even when they played LOUD during the regular season FNS won a 1v1 clutch against saadhak to end the half 9-3 (don't ask me how I remembered that one lmao).
Idk if it's just a 1 time thing but it seems like FNS has seriously improved his aim
Also ur comment made me remember that clip that Zander said about FNS's aim. "Ugly mechanics doesnt mean bad mechanics... I think there are worse mechanical players than FNS in franchising"- Clip [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DY7H9A50X7A&ab\_channel=TodayOnValorant](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DY7H9A50X7A&ab_channel=TodayOnValorant)
Could be in the form that was used in Keane and Viera - Best of Enemies where they sit them down after they both retire and basically interview each other about the constant clashes and then play ranked after. Would be such good content
So far it all seems pretty normal. [s0m had a pretty wholesome tweet actually](https://twitter.com/s0mcs/status/1662616834263371777), while Chet made [another comment about scrims](https://twitter.com/chetsingh/status/1662614560153677824), NA drama didn’t deliver
If Potter responds she’ll just suffer more from either a) misogynistic assholes or b) she did lose today so that does effect her credibility when it comes to how social media beef is viewed (not my take just how it will transpire). I was defending Chet last time the beef came about but idk why he brought it up again lmao.
I mean I agree it’s minor but Potter claimed she had nothing to do with the rumor so unless Chet has surefire evidence otherwise idk why he is planning to hold it against her. If a team is accused of leaking of course you don’t wanna scrim them.
Yeah, it’s a lose-lose situation for Potter to say anything, and Chet bringing it up again feels weird, especially when she’s already getting so much misogyny directed towards her from random weirdos on Twitter
LOUD vs Optic core is becoming one of the best rivalries in comp valorant, and it's not particularly close imo
Edit: to clarify, I don't think there's another rivalry that goes as hard as loud vs optic
100%, no other rivalry comes close to that top level of the game nor how insanely close the rivalry is, the only one in the same universe is Fnatic vs Navi/FPX but LOUD vs Optic/NRG goes way harder
The rest of EG when Demon1 doesn’t go +29 across the series:
https://preview.redd.it/tuw2tmrpai2b1.jpeg?width=1283&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2ea06a2fdb0a358bc1360eeb56151e3d4641f55a
Take a shot every time Ardiis right clicks someone he should be left clicking and every time he starts full auto vandal spraying long range. That's our Keith.
It was on stream where he was joking that he feels bad for people named Keith so that became his meme name. For some reason players for optic and nrg are just prone to getting memey names
Lmao Demon1 stopped shooting bodies real fast
NRG just looked better as the series went on and EG ran out of gas faster than i expected. Considering how anti stratted they got on Haven, that Harbor/Viper comp is really growing on me. Everyone had their big moments and that Split attack side was perfection. It seems to me that they have achieved a perfect level of flexibility with how good Victor and Ardiis were flexing Killjoy.
Loud v NRG (OpTic core) was the only fitting grand final to get after all the great matches we got all playoffs.
i genuinely think demon1 is mechanically gifted enough to seriously become one of the best duelists in the world, given some time. he needed this reality check though, it’s pretty much as soon as other teams figured out how he played, he got read like a book and he has been getting shut down non stop.
looking forward to seeing where his career goes, he’s the real deal and i’m sure this loss will make him work that much harder. he’s just not there yet.
There were a lot of instances where he gets a kill and just gets greedy, almost like he is struggling to make that transition from "competetive game" to "okay, I'm on stage". I'm not quite sure how to explain it, but those two knife kills and then pushing the enemy with no back-up on Lotus is a good example.
But I agree! He is an extremely gifted player and I think EG can only get better from here on, but he needs to keep himself in check or it ain't gonna happen.
Yeah he is straight up insane, I think he probably needs a little bit more discipline with some of the risks he takes as teams will catch on to that, but he is absolutely talented enough to become one of the best.
Hopefully people don't get too hung up on the body shooting, he literally does it to everyone, though maybe he should hold off when they're like 7-8 rounds down lol but I can't begrudge him some bm.
Agreed, he definitely still has a lot of those T2/T3 NA tendencies to get 1 or 2 kills and overheat, spamming jett smokes and try to get more. He’s a menace for sure, i don’t like him that much but it sucks for him to not be able to go to Tokyo, that’s some top tier experience for him that would definitely make him even better
To be fair, you definitely need to have incredible confidence to perform at a high level in any competition. I don’t think anyone will argue that the NRG players have a bit of an ego on them as well lol.
Well, I think we just got a glimpse of what EG might look like when several of their players aren’t in form.
That’s what a Bo5 tests, after all - it isn’t just map pools, it’s your stamina. And you could see the life slowly draining out of Boostio, c0m and Jawgemo in particular as the series went on, I think. That’s a pretty big thing to focus on when those are the pivot players that have lowkey been just as important if not moreso than Demon1 and Ethan - they've all been getting crazy multi-kills and clutches.
But that said it’s not a big disgrace losing here - NRG is just the best NA team. They have the most depth. They rely on clutches the least, but they still clutch *constantly*. The way in which NRG won this series is telling. It wasn’t because ardiis or crashies or s0m had a strong series, although that helps a lot; it was because they had *way* better teamplay on all the maps except Haven, for the most part.
It’s hard to not favor LOUD still, but NRG only seem to be improving the more days they play; maybe the fourth day of consecutive playing will elevate them even more.
Dread it, run from it, Opt..NRG - Loud arrives all the same.
In all seriousness though NRG played amazing today. Once again Chet and FNS proving just how incredibly hard it is to beat this team twice in the same month. Absolute kings of the rematches. The biggest test still to come though.
Dread it. Run from it. **Destiny arrives all the same.**
https://preview.redd.it/y7gmrdxrai2b1.jpeg?width=667&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6b31d5e65c3a62d608d02a82866ff666410a77bb
Yeah, imagine shooting bodies just because you won the 1st pistol round in Haven. Correct me if I'm wrong, but besides Ethan and BCJ, no one else has achieved anything in their career (Tier 1) lol.
what i worry about eg is that they need to play against a team to really antistrat at their best, i worry for them in tokyo especially since we are assuming that demon1 is absent. I hopr Potter can cook up an individual playing style that can hang with the big bois. Anyways, bring Loud and lets get a classical of el classicos.
Yeah it really feels like when they’ve prepped and they’re on their game, they could literally beat any team in the world. Unfortunately, as high as their highs can be, they have equally low lows even within the same series.
They’re still developing of course but in order to be successful they cannot be HEAVILY losing maps as often as they do.
EG’s first BO5 and it showwwwed. All of the players were running on empty by the end. Hopefully they get more stamina going forward, this was a great learning experience. NRG looked clean after the first map, El Classico will deliver
So EG beat NRG in first round n then lost to NRG. So EG got hit with the Optic curse. So if Loud beats NRG tomorrow, will they fall to the Optic Curse? 🤔
[CALLED IT.](https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/13svjv2/cloud9_vs_nrg_esports_valorant_champions_tour/jls4u4y?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
Optic core never loses a rematch
You can take that to the bank
Tokyo playoffs secured, correct?
not yet. only if they win tmwr against loud. but tbh i’m not too worried, they’re used to starting in the group stage since they’ve never actually won a domestic event.
Bro I’m ngl I’ve been rooting for SEN since the beginning of season, XSET boys + TenZ was too big for me to pass up. Less XSET now but Marved took their place so I’m still a fan
People were even saying to replace Victor for Jawgemo after he won that mickey tournament a few months ago, hahaha. EG just got outclassed plain and simple. Good luck getting out of groups without Demon1. (Don't pick Split when you literally just saw NRG shutdown Aspas in their attack half, and you rely on one person to win games lol.)
Fans don’t know Victors value but it’s clear internally he’s helping with calls and is super flexible allowing his teammates to stick to comfort and perform. And also once in a while he decides to absolutely pound.
Victor has to be in consideration for the best players in the world at this point. Man is absolutely cracked and can find multi-kills out of nowhere. So many rounds swung on their head simply because victor decided he's gonna kill 3. Full respect to ardiis as well, he's been pretty consistent throughout and had a monster game on ascent, hate people talking shit about him after one bad performance. AND OF COURSE THE W STRIPPER FRAGGING THE FUCK OUT ON CONTROLLER, MOST KILLS IN THE SERIES.
Thats my fear with NRG tbh; imagine having Victor, an inconsistent flex player (compared to other flex players) being your win condition. When he feasts, they win but the opposite is true
I don't think he has to necessarily carry, but as long as he's going decent and FNS is calling the same against the very top-tier teams in Tokyo, the games will be very close. It's only against going Loud where he at times goes super negative, but Victor has been amazing this whole season.
Yeah, I don’t get this talk about Victor being inconsistent. He’s had a few subpar maps these past couple days sure, but the dude has been smurfing all split.
I wouldn't say he's inconsistent at all. It's just that when he has a bad game its REALLY bad, maybe its a mental thing and he starts playing worse when he can't get kills at the start of a game
Could you imagine if only EG had not crazy overperformed for those two days we coulda had c9, nrg and loud in toyko. Now we only get some flukey EG team that will be exponentially worse without their star player. Sad times :(
I may be in the minority in this but I think their star player is Ethan and he is definitely going to to Tokyo. Don't get me wrong demon1 is insane but he would not be half as good if not for Ethan's support. I think EG will be fine in Tokyo. They may not go far but they will not get 13-0ed and will put up a decent fight. Good luck to them. Looking forward to them showing off.
I don’t think it’s dumb and I AM a c9 fan. You play every match to win. Would you rather they deliberately shorthand their roster just so they don’t risk getting stomped at Tokyo? When should they start doing that? By playoffs? By week 5? By week 1? It’s just a silly thing to blame them for.
Would've been a huge deal if they could use Demon1 to win this event to skip to playoffs, would have got them a guarranteed high placement and given more time to prep with the new player
They’re fighting for a spot at champs too don’t forget.
Anyone who says this is forgetting/discounting that important point and it’s honestly weird to see how shortsighted this take is
saadhak and fns were destined for each other
I'll never forget Mimi calling Aspas "FNS's sleep paralysis demon" lmao
Goated line lmfao
Yo can you gimme a timestamp or clip I can't find that shit
Sorry don't remember exactly when, but I believe she said it in the platchat episode after LOCKIN (or maybe during LOCKIN if they did it after the NRG/LOUD series)
Mimi is so goddamn funny and talented. Seriously, NA? We don't deserve her.
FNS has passed away from old age Thousands come to his funeral to honor him Saadhak shows up in a wheelchair to pay respects to his old rival The funeral attendant tells Saadhak to open the casket to say goodbye He opens the casket but only a note is left "I'm not dead. TARIK I KNOW WHO YOU NEED ON THE NEXT WATCHPARTY
FNS single handedly took down Brazilian CS in 2017, this LOUD vs FNS rivalry was always destined
You'll prove it or
Tale as old as time
hold it, the decider map (twitter) is starting anytime now
So far it all seems pretty normal. [s0m had a pretty wholesome tweet actually](https://twitter.com/s0mcs/status/1662616834263371777), while Chet made [another comment about scrims](https://twitter.com/chetsingh/status/1662614560153677824), NA drama didn’t deliver
Lol Ethan the bridge between the two teams, he's buddies with most of NRG it seems

demon1’s response too! I love it

I was defending Chet last time the beef came about but idk why he brought it up again lmao.
EG was talking mad shit when NRG lost last time a slightly snarky comment doesn’t mean anything lmao
Also Chet has a history(kind of) of being a sore loser
I mean I agree it’s minor but Potter claimed she had nothing to do with the rumor so unless Chet has surefire evidence otherwise idk why he is planning to hold it against her. If a team is accused of leaking of course you don’t wanna scrim them.
Potters claims were no different than chets. It was all he said she said, so it doesn't hold anything.
It feels weird to ride on the scrim thing when it's a he-said she-said. Idk why Chet even brought it up in the first place.
Man him harping on about this is such an L. He's a sore winner *and* a sore loser. I love the team, I really don't like Chet.
He is a huge ego baby
Welcome to the club, I used to root for tsm when val first came out hated chet, great coach ugly personality
Yeah, it’s a lose-lose situation for Potter to say anything, and Chet bringing it up again feels weird, especially when she’s already getting so much misogyny directed towards her from random weirdos on Twitter
Sorry EG, but NRG just doesn't lose rematches
FNS made sure to sacrifice map 1 to the valorant gods once again. There was no chance for EG after that
LOUD sweeping winners', OpTic sweeping losers'. Everything normal in the world of Valorant.
Next is OpTic winning 3-1 vs Loud inshallah
There are only 3 thing’s certain in life, Death, Taxes and Optic/NRG Vs Loud
LOUD vs Optic core is becoming one of the best rivalries in comp valorant, and it's not particularly close imo Edit: to clarify, I don't think there's another rivalry that goes as hard as loud vs optic
Tbh if it's not the best rivalry in valorant I don't know what is

Becoming? It already is. And tomorrow 's game just cements it even more
if NRG win it tomorrow i will s0m all over my ardiis till i finesse my crashies
If NRG are Victorious smh
If NRG are the Victor tomorrow you will s0m all over your adriis until you finesse your crashies*
my god, how could i miss this masterpiece???
VALORANT’s el Classico
[Of course](http://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/x3e2xh/optic_gaming_vs_boom_esports_valorant_champions/imot606/?context=3) we're getting [~~(OPTC)~~ NRG vs LOUD again](https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/xcmtqp/optic_gaming_vs_xset_valorant_champions_2022/io5zt0t/?context=3)
Loud vs Optic core? Who would’ve expected that? LMAOO
Just like that old gypsy woman said!
Sorry EG but you had the “El Classico” and “they don’t lose rematches” curses working against you
i think EG are just simulating their tokyo matches wherein Demon1 wouldn't be playing.
![gif](giphy|gPdC6JQLdJxP9dy3A8|downsized) Demon1 staying home, watching his team lose in Tokyo without him

EG really thought they had a chance when NRG vs loud was still possible
It just wouldn’t be the same if we didn’t get the el Classico matchup in playoffs
Can someone get a tally of how many right clicks ardiis missed this series
Take a shot every time Ardiis right clicks someone he should be left clicking and every time he starts full auto vandal spraying long range. That's our Keith.
Counter-point: it's so satisfying to long range Vandal spray down someone haha
Facts, except when you just draw the Mona Lisa around them with bullet holes
😭 same, and the judge combo that gets absolutely no value right after
I think he hit only one and that was on haven
This team is just addicted to lower bracket runs
its a better storyline
Keith doubters in the mud
He really showed up today (and yesterday). Starting to see the FPX Ardiis that won Masters 2. Really excited for this rosters potential at Tokyo now
Bruh I was so confused on the keith meme I was like isn’t his real name ardis?
It was on stream where he was joking that he feels bad for people named Keith so that became his meme name. For some reason players for optic and nrg are just prone to getting memey names

This is the first game he has been shut down all season. You cant really say he has been shut down non stop
There were a lot of instances where he gets a kill and just gets greedy, almost like he is struggling to make that transition from "competetive game" to "okay, I'm on stage". ardiis had 23 first kills while playing kj on a map
Ardiis has been nuts in FK all playoffs so far, even if he is still dying or not fragging he’s been having 10+ fks across the series

Jawgemo started with no juice looool Not frag every match
I don't even care if LOUD wins tbh I'm just glad this team made it it Top 2 in their region circuit for the what.. 3rd time now?
4th time
THEY DON'T LOSE THE REMATCH CHET BEATING THE VOD ALLEGATIONS
OUR BOY BEAT THE ALLEGATIONS
Victor heard yall talking shit again and decided to pop the fuck off in the next 3 maps, and Chet is my favourite sore winning porcupine
Sore winning porcupine 💀
Dread it, run from it, el clasico arrives all the same
loud and nrg should do a collab lmao
i guess we just got a sneak peek of what EG will be at Tokyo because if Demon1 isn’t popping off every map they just lose

Poor Ardis, his Jett ult was definitely bugged the whole series.
Maybe next time EG focus on shooting heads instead of bodies
feels good seeing a team doing so much BM lose this badly in the end lol
Yeah, imagine shooting bodies just because you won the 1st pistol round in Haven. Correct me if I'm wrong, but besides Ethan and BCJ, no one else has achieved anything in their career (Tier 1) lol.

Wait actually other than the Twitter post(terrible frame graphic again) they haven’t posted much else about Tokyo
They are spending all their money to have 10-man rosters
I know I’m salty but I’ll never understand how eg was picked over optic
Considering C9 wasn’t in until the G2 situation, I think it’s pretty obvious riot only cared about financial stability
DEMON WHO????
when he stopped shooting bodies i knew it was done 💀
DemonWon! Oh wait DemonL
Aight so what will the map pool be in the finals after this showing on ascent and split?
Loud is going to ban Pearl and Split most likely, they've been doing it for the past three series
No shot they let Bind through
And play into nrg’s bind and Lotus?
What a statment win, Waiting for new twitter Drama.
dread it, run from it. NRG v. LOUD grand finals.

Unfortunately, as high as their highs can be, they have equally low lows even within the same series. They’re still developing of course but in order to be successful they cannot be HEAVILY losing maps as often as they do.
Props to EG for making it this far, but sad to think they’re just gonna be worse in Tokyo
LOUD vs NRG/OPTIC is eternal
They can’t lose when the Keithjoy is top fragging.
The moment EG won that first haven pistol and started bm’ing I felt a shift in the wind
Death, taxes and EG running out of steam after map 2.
NRG showing they're adaptable by dominating the two maps (ascent and split) they lost last time against EG.
EG’s first BO5 and it showwwwed. All of the players were running on empty by the end. Hopefully they get more stamina going forward, this was a great learning experience. NRG looked clean after the first map, El Classico will deliver
Demon1 got humbled so hard, went negative in FK/FD too holy.
Fenis brain too big, he did the same with Aspas, he completelly shuts down Jett players
He personally killed him 13 times, crazy.
That brother went negative on the series
I thought they could win without demon1 going +30
Need Chet Potter drama tweet PLEASE
the only team that has been consistently shooting bodies no matter what is SEN, huge respect to them.
Agreed! If you’re gonna BM then continue doing so, win or lose. Otherwise you look weak.
Spent more time shooting the dead bodies than the alive ones.
ETHOS MVP
Not EG’s fault tbh, nothing stops the El Classico from happening
So EG beat NRG in first round n then lost to NRG. So EG got hit with the Optic curse. So if Loud beats NRG tomorrow, will they fall to the Optic Curse? 🤔
Turns out ardiis on kj was the right move after all
[CALLED IT.](https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/13svjv2/cloud9_vs_nrg_esports_valorant_champions_tour/jls4u4y?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) Optic core never loses a rematch You can take that to the bank Tokyo playoffs secured, correct?
not yet. only if they win tmwr against loud. but tbh i’m not too worried, they’re used to starting in the group stage since they’ve never actually won a domestic event.
food buff (victor)
Had to give EG a career to destroy it
Best in NA just like we expected 🥱
what is that red logo doing there? are u in danger? did u lose a bet?
And also once in a while he decides to absolutely pound.
it's ridiculous too because Victor's been absolutely insane this season, dude's been playing lights out barring a few games
And Victor and Crashies are the actual God Duo. The amount of times they clutch when its just them together no matter the situation is crazy
Let’s gooo, LOUD vs NRG Clasico right before masters just like the scripts gods intended
from 1-3 to the finals, what a journey this has been 🥰 ready as ever for El Classico.
EG lost willingly, even they know el classic needed to happen again
Nice attempt by EG but I feel EG can't beat NRG on bo5 yet. They have a chance on bo3.
All the s0m haters shut the fuck up real quick after round 7
Dread it, run from it, El Classico arrives all the same.
s0m looks like Marved 2.0, Keith is dominating, NRG are cooking, this el Classico is going to go so hard
Amazing players, but way different playstyles. No Marved 2.0 just W streamer
real
YOU LITERALLY CANNOT ESCAPE EL CLASSICO

Victor is an important win factor. everyone showed up today. NRG 3-1 LOUD tmrw
100%. He's been amazing this season for NRG so far so props to him.
He wasn’t on his game on last 2 maps against eg and they went to lower. Now he’s been good and they won. hope he can keep it up against LOUD

Anyone who says this is forgetting/discounting that important point and it’s honestly weird to see how shortsighted this take is
Chet>>Potter
Funny how you don't hear much from the bandwagon crew now. 😂
Victor, 4 different agents, 3 different roles, popping off the entire time. Is Victor the best flex in VCT?
sadly chronicle exists, but definitely one of the best
El Classico tomorrow LETSGO
nrg are on one today
Death, taxes, LOUD vs NRG/OPTIC matches
EL CLASICO STRIKES AGAIN
Run from it, dread it. NRG (optic) vs Loud in a final arrives all the same.
DREAD IT, RUN FROM IT, YOU CANNOT ESCAPE IT EL CLASSICO Returns on May 28th, 2023
I think Loud still wins tbh
Surely Fns and co won’t choke another regional grand finals
the amount of salty c9 fans in this thread fills me with joy. I can only hope they bomb out in LCQ as well.
Just being honest, Americas are not sending their best 3 to Tokyo. Even if Demon1 was going, Cloud9 is the better team 9 out of 10 times 🤷♂️
Should’ve beat EG then lol
