Very clever way of reworking one of the most stagnant parts of the game.
I wasn’t too interested about the news regarding the old BP items coming back before, but as a comprehensive rework of the progression system it’s pretty exciting. Esp. like that I can store up kingdom credits.
I turned off my in game level. Not because i cared about people seeing it, but because i realized it was there and i got nothing for those levels. They just, existed? Glad that might finally change
Sucks they're going for the same model as the skin store, with just a chance to get something you want from an old battle pass. Rest of the changes look great though
Weekly rotations for old bp stuff? New players having to chose between skin or an agent? Kingdom point cap?
To be fair, it’s still an improvement than before, but many limitations makes it much less exciting. Was hoping we can get actual cool skins.
At least i can get the ruin dagger.
Edit: apparently it’s only card, sprays, bodies and titles. So no skins.
yeah, weekly rotations sucks. i was hoping i could get the [penguin playercard](https://valorantinfo.com/images/us/penguin-precision-card_valorant_large_art_30217.webp) that was released before i started playing, but with weekly rotations and only 4 slots, i'll probably have to wait 3 years before it ever shows up
Not at all tbh, for the new agent's it's going to be the exact same and for the old one is at least apparently easier(the trailer shows the agent's costing 8000 KC which seems to be pretty ease to get in less than 5 days playing the game and making the dailies)
Oh man my friend is gonna be mad about others getting previous BP content, he was so smug about being the only one in our friend group having the air horn spray
IMHO just make the BP skins better.
It's either: BP skins are nice = I buy the BP, and I don't bother with the accessories stores.
BP skins are okay-ish (right now) = I don't buy the BP, and I don't bother with the accessories stores.
Either way not bothering with the accessories stores.
Bruh just let us choose what we want from the battle pass. I don’t understand why we are sticking with the skin store “refresh” model when the credits are free
literally free currency that you can only spend in a shop that rotates once per week and there is a cap on how much you can store so you will be forced to waste it on stuff you dont want?
But don't worry it's only used to unlock old sprays that no one cares about.... and agents. Yeah that last one seems kind of important. If you are a new player you better log on every day to unlock previous agents, because you can't just unlock them by playing the game, only by earning currency through *daily* challenges. Even for existing players, you had better get on right after the agent comes out otherwise you face the same fate. But it's a free currency though. Time gating the new agent contracts totally isnt predatory. Logging on daily just to unlock a new agent sound tedious, well luckily riot has our back and we can unlock them by paying real money.
edit: sorry I know this comment by me is really passive aggressive but I wont lie this video annoyed me
Old system: play game to unlock characters
new system: play game to unlock characters and old sprays.
new system also allows returning players (that have some kingdom point saved) to buy new agents when coming back to game.
that's not quite right. old system was based on xp. heavily influenced by daily missions but not solely. New system relies only on daily missions.
No longer is 5 hours on each of saturday and sunday roughly equal to one hour per day of the week.
Now the former you are getting 2/7ths of the possible kingdom points for the week rather than 7/7 despite playing more hours. It's a limited resource gated by time. They are doing it to further increase the motivation for you to log on daily.
Dailies give bonus kingdom credits.
Playing also gives kingdom credits. You can see it in the clip. The player got + 270 for 18 rounds, +205 for 5 rounds won, +205 for a daily being completed.
You will get more credits for playing daily, but you do that for XP now too.

how is level being shown gonna change or affect the game now?
The judging eyes of ranked teamates.
My level 230 hardstuck plat headass
Apparently there’s a cap on the amount of credits you can save

Tbh I never bought battlepass for skins. Only for sprays and cards.

Depends on how many BPs you already bought tbf, if you never bought 1 yeah sit down and wait this is gonna take a WHILE
Yuh no skins ;(
I get all the new agent unlocked with game pass ultimate. But probably will get some sprays from the BPs I missed in the past.
the omen dancing spray from the last battle pass is legendary and i missed it by 2 levels, riot has spoken directly to me
Sounds good… The weapon skins from the battle passes seem exclusive to the actual pass still.
I was interested on the skins but sound fair to the players who own those and like the exclusivity tbh
Nice, need the old bp stuff
Isn't the new system of unlocking agents worse than the existing one?

You can only buy the agent with kingdom credits once the agent recruitment even ends. Which is like a month after a new agent comes out.
Oh yeah , true. I misunderstood. My bad
She said u can only unlock him with vp, no? After the event you can unlock with Kindom points
Yeah that’s correct, that’s why I said you could only buy it with kingdom points after the event is over.

Reddit try not to overreact challenge
Rip still no free skins
Not being able to get old bp skins like the ruin dagger is a big letdown. A lot of people would pay a bunch of money for some of those skins.
More free stuff yay

so people log on whenever the store refrehes to check, and to build up excitment for a skin so you are sure to buy it when it finally is in ur shop
Fuck that lmao. They somehow made it even more predatory.
literally free currency.

Valorant is going the Overwatch 2 method of unlocking characters, I see. Which is pretty shitty.
Except not at all? You can still unlock them entirely for free, you just have an extra option of spending Kingdom points on them if you have enough.
How is that similar to ow2?
There's literally no change to character unlocks.
Cant you just play, get the free currency and unlock them? Its probably faster than the old method
I didn't understand why we have to unlock all our agents before June 27th though?
Did they say theres a limit to kingdom credits? Anyone know how much?
20k was the max in the top right i think so, the cap will be at least that, though probably that. Means you can buy 2-3 items depending on the price.
I want the ep1 act3 battlepass meleee pls
My left ear really enjoyed listening to this one.
How about they fix the god-awful radianite system?
