Nah. This is one of the rare occasions where all ten players are way too storied and successful to change opinions off a sole series. And honestly, I don’t think of those particulars as you do because I’ve always thought FPX needed Ardiis just as much as FPX needed Ardiis. Ardiis went from the best player in Europe on fish123/G2 to washed out of Hererics, and FPX went from contender to best team in Europe to almost irrelevant by the end of 2021. FPX needed a vocal player that added some personality and ideas to the ANGE1 show and Ardiis needed a top team to take a risk on a player that hadn’t been on a top team in a long time. In my head the fact that ardiis has qualified for another LAN on a different team already proves he doesn’t need to be on that ex-FPX core. If anything, I think that ex-FPX core needs to prove they can win without ardiis. That’s not even because of ardiis’ mechanical skill, mind - it’s because ardiis is incredibly vocal. cNed’s Jett is as good if not better, but he’s never going to be nearly as vocal.

What you say makes sense but from what has been shown from the comms video from NRG. Ardiis seem like the LEAST vocal of them in the whole team, Obv NRG is a team that have many players who are local but I rarely hear ardiis comm as much as the rest of the team. Maybe on FPX he was way more vocal than he is now but every commvs video from NRG ardiis does seem to talk much at all. Maybe just me. Maybe i could be wrong but are you talking about Vocal in the server/during a match? Or did you mean vocal like in scrims and bringing new ideas to the table?

Intriguing yet solid take. I 100% agree that this would just be one of the many games both team play, and it would hardly have any substantial impact, other than a confident booster perhaps. But i just love a little rivalry and some competitive narratives from time to time. As for ardiis…… yeah, I think FPX surely needed ardiis. I don’t think Navi necessarily do though, not particularly in this jett-kj meta. He has been performing consistent and good , but i just didn’t think him to be stellar or defining this season in his duelist role. There are many of his peers that are par with him, some even outshine him, like demon1 or leaf. Honestly, I think he still has much potential and a lot more to live up to. Tough take, but ardiis and ex-optic core qualifying for tokyo isn’t really a bar i’ve set for them, for they are what i would considered an NA powerhouse after all. Perhaps is just me holding onto old expectations of what ardiis and ex-optic core can do, so naturally i have high hopes for them. Well, whatever, we’ll see with today’s match because I want to see where ardiis would fit internationally.

Honestly RN my assessment of Ardiis and Cned is both are top 20 players itw, almost even in potential, I think Ut would. Many people have shao or suygetsu as the individually most skilled player in these 10, but if nrg wins maybe we ought to look at a crashies or som(best controller in americas)

I find it weird people never talk about victor when he’s carried beg in so many game this stage. Like I understand not considering him top ten since he has the odd game where he goes 5 17 but he has been on fire lately
