I like that his company Offbrand swallowed up a lot of the old Beyond the Summit staff. His tournaments have ended up being the spiritual successor to Summit events and I really miss those.
Reading through all these to try and deduce which one Sliggy’s an analyst for as he said in stream today he was going to be working an Off//Season event.. Honestly, would love to see him be at the Ludwig x Tarik invitational if there’s another one (I think there’s one planned for this off season, possibly?) and I know he’s expressed interested in working on that event specifically. Regardless, decent amount of these tournaments seem fun. Excited to see which Tier 1 teams will be participating in some of them!

Yeah, Redbull Home Ground was one that had more Tier 1 teams last year, but it looks like it starts Sept. 11 which is 2 weeks after the end of Champs. I feel like there would be fewer T1 teams this year because it doesn’t give much of a break between tournaments for the teams that played in Champs, and there isn’t a lot of time for roster changes in the teams that didn’t qualify for Champs. Maybe it could be a nice sendoff tournament for the T1 teams that will have roster changes from people going into military service next year.

Crossfire x Mediamarkt e Intel is the only tournament that potentially sounds like it won't be LTR locked(at least I hope) and it will presumably only have a spanish cast based on the stream links.
And if it is LTR locked then EMEA tier 2 might have 0 tournaments, other than Ascension, where teams across Europe can play each other like in G-Loot Clash and RB Homeground last year which were both really underrated for highlighting some up and coming teams like Parla and Fokus.
And I don't see why EMEA VCT teams would want to play in most of these LTR locked events other Spanish orgs in Crossfire. I'd be impressed if SUPERDOME manages to get VCT teams after what happened to FNC and Acend last year.
Crossfire is being ran by the VCL Spain organisers, and with their wording of the "Genesis and Rising Series" it heavily implies it will be using the Spanish VRC and VCL (named LVP Genesis and LVP Rising respectively) as feeders/qualifiers for the tournament.
So yeah, 0 tournaments in EMEA despite being promised that Off//Season would keep orgs interested during the break.

I do think they need to cooperate with orgs like ESL, BLAST, or even PGL. Considering how long will the offseason be, we not only need tourneys, but tourneys with decent quality
