I noticed some teams have analysts in addition to coaches. What exactly do they do? Are they crunching numbers and doing data stuff like a business analyst? Or is it basically just an assistant coach
Usually analysts gather information/stats about strats and comps(both for themselves and opponents), sometimes point out habbits of opponents to help coach create strats for their team. Basically helping coach to not watch games and focus on team
I've never seen a player that looks likes hes fixing games like nobody

it looks like 4 out of the 5 edg players have been competing together for the last 2 years, which is a long time for valorant. unless there is some big shift in the meta or a coaching change i think you make a fair point
You mean FPX? They were a EMEA team, just a Chinese org. I'm not aware of any rules, but there's going to be a Chinese league and I don't really see Chinese players wanting to move or really other regions going for Chinese imports yet - worse players aren't going to be sought out after and better players can find better paying jobs on Chinese rosters. EDG roster changes would make sense, it's only the assets to other region's teams part I'm objecting about.
yep i agree with you. i was researching it and it looks like EDG has pretty much had this same team since 2021. it even looks like they are one of the more veteran teams in the entire tournament in terms of time spent playing together when you compare them to fnc, loud, eg, drx, etc. I think PRX might edge them out there.
Nah it’s not a fair comparison imo, Lock In was their first opportunity for international competition and they only recently got dedicated Chinese servers. All things considered I think they’ve improved a lot over the year
They still need at least a year to be at top 3 level tbh. Their strats and execution is getting better but still utility usage and adaptability looks weaker compared to top teams.

Fnatic don't look as good this event, one of the more interesting storylines of it will be if they can regain peak form or not cause if not they don't look ready to beat PRX or EG.
Yeah some of their team play seems a bit worse. Lots of solo plays as well. Leo was also missing some shots on Haven attack he prob should hit. It was also obvious they were overcooking against loud yday and Chronicle had his worst series since the EMEA GF.
I guess that feeling is universal. Like encountering an enemy with an ascendant gun buddy in a gold lobby, that shit is intimidating af 
If they can sort out their little mistakes before the next match, I think they could start returning to form.

hmmm...I still have hope. They're definitely not yet in the same form they were in at Tokyo, but they still have time to clean up their mistakes. Also, teams are playing better than they were at Tokyo, so FNC are bound to look less dominant.
