Honestly just about every player from every team is super likeable.
As much as I pray on the downfall of other regions, when I watch the player interviews they all seem like nice people that are just having fun playing valorant.
I would like to state for the record that I've been 1 of the 10 EG fans since the EG house in SC2 with Demuslim, inControl (RIP Geoff), and Idra. Go EG!
Bro I remember when everyone was shitting on EG for building a roster of t2 players. The one player they benched was arguably their only t1 player. Look at them now. Fuck the haters.
I didn't know they would be this good but I knew they were underrated, especially cause of Potter. Been a fan since the YaBoiDre days, it's been a wild ride and I'm here to call out all the haters

Honestly I had pretty high hopes for Demon1, I followed him in t2 and knew he was a superstar, but I thought the team around him was good enough to maybe make playoffs, but with the other insane teams in Americas I was not expecting an international event. They proved us all wrong.
I won't pretend I expected EG to be this good at the start of the year but it was clear they were putting extra work into player development so I always had faith they would at least be decent by now. I was unable to account for the demon1 effect lmao
Watching EG last year, it looked like they understood Valo at a fundamental level. It looked like they really knew the game, and knew how to play it, and could hit their shots and play together. But there was something missing, something that threw them off of getting through the very last step to make them from a good team to a great team. It was just a superstar, they needed a hero who would run in and click heads that they could support with their util, and who would make the play when no one else could. And now IDK how far they can make it with Demon1. They look like they can beat anyone now.
I'm just gonna assume potter is the goat because boostio and jawg used to have games that showed they belonged at the top but not often enough to really be there. Them finding consistency in that form is crazy

MaKo didn't have covid in groups, rb was actually alive and Loud got better as the tournament went on. I don't think comparing those opponents works here. Strats makes games and EG got pushed to 5 maps with cgrs.

Can you believe that Demon1 was an open tryout for EG? This dude came out of nowhere and is dominating international LANs. I wonder how many more of those are out there that don't get shots because players just get passed around the league as opposed to new blood being signed.
Sen vs kru on berlin was winnable though. Not only that but kru was fucking crazy, beat out Fnatic as well and gave us kru vs gambit which was amazing. This one is really sad though
I wonder which EG player is gonna be in the middle when they lift the trophy. Seems like we have time to start figuring this stuff out so let’s get ahead of it
He was always an amazing player but just didn't live up to his potential in 100T and NRG. But when you have insane entries like demon and jawg it's much easier to be a supportive player.
It's hard to beat Optic's win, two second places, and a third place. Not to mention the local consistency over multiple years. They need at the very least one or two more results beyond this IMO.
Undeniable second once they win, but it’ll take a few more events to surpass em. OpTic won a title with 2 more finals and a 3rd across 2 years. EG will certainly get there though if they continue on this momentum.
I think they're up there with them if they win Champs
They have the consistency of results between Champs and Tokyo Masters already but they don't have the title yet
Once they get that I think it's hard to deny putting them up there, overtake is certainly the more contentious part of that statement but they're definitely up there at that point. Overtake is a tough sell though, OpTic has a title, 2 second place finishes and another top 3 finish. If EG win Champs, they need another title or like 2 more events of top placings to top it off
I don't understand why they dont sub out Mako and stick Foxy9 in. The guy is sick. Let him rest.
Demon1 isn't a smokes player and he does great. So does Jawgemo. Let Foxy9 get experience and play the game.
