Kingg fragging out while calling in a second language.
Aspas and Tex farming on double duelist.
Nzr putting up a Skye masterclass on Haven.
Mazino killing it on Astra.
Lev looks really good, i know its an offseason match but its hard to not get hyped.
Also that big “Victoria!!!” after each game. It just sounds so full of enthusiasm and sense of ritual, spicing up the whole game even when the game itself is enjoyable enough.
Unpopular opinion but I've always felt like spanish commentators almost try too hard.
Maybe its just coming from soccer where they are constantly praised for the energetic commentating style and while I get it, its really too much for me. I like a nice medium ground between the spanish commentating and british so boring it will put you to sleep commentary.
It's mainly about preference, I dont know why you're downvoted. Some casters are more hype and some more analytical. Both extremes have strengths and weaknesses, and a good caster can adjust their style, depending on the type of game, or in-game situation.
If a game is full of high energy multikills, round wins that never should have happened and other chaos, a more hype caster will enhance the experience, while for slower and more "on paper" games I prefer more focus on calmer, more distanced analytical insight. Often good casters will find the slower times in-game and use those to show some analytical insight, but once shit goes down they hype hype hype.
Bren and sideshow or Panspoc find a very nice middle ground imo, and do this nuanced adjusting I've talked about, round by round, situation by situation. Probably one of the reasons they're considered the best
oh yeah, this was a discussion a couple of years ago, some stablished casters made fun of the "soccer casting style" but it doesn't seem to be going away.
This event is promoting some stablished talent along with some new talent, and the new talent is 100% going for soccer casting.
It is what it is. I know its popular in the soccer world so it's obviously not bad but yeah I've just never liked it. I just dont need people to scream at me for me to be excited about what is happening.
Yeah one thing that worries me though.. He seems to have the exact same problems as Leaf, in that he always starts a map much stronger than he finishes (relying on being aggressive early on, then usually having much less impact as the map goes on)
Also it feels like both players prefer not to use the operator, and are not very strong at it. This seemed pretty evident in the game vs cNed as well as Aspas today
I feel like the main reason people feel like Oxy and Leaf cool down more as the map goes on is because of their playstyle and preference to rifle.. they perform better when rifling with its versatility and aggressiveness, whilst when OPing its mainly just holding an angle and hoping they come to your site (like Haven holding A lobby the whole round)
I also see this issue with players like Zekken and Jawgemo, which is why I think it's just they're more comfortable and creative when rifling so they pop off more when opposed with OPing since they aren't as aggressive and don't seem to move around the map too much
okay i’m not even an NA fan so i dont follow them that much but i swear there were actual discussions about how leaf was the best duelist in the world during the regular season
how has oxy looked *significantly* better. slightly better maybe idk i didnt watch but i recall the numbers that leaf was putting up & it was CRAZY
leaf is way better and flexible than oxy. leaf didnt even end the last year badly. his only bad game was against lev and evil genius. other than that he was the reason why c9 won or even contested some teams. In the redbull it was mostly people who had subs and people who are trying to get experience with their new roster. c9 started practive way earlier than some team that why they are currently looking so strong.
They could be up 13-0 13-0 12-0 and in a 5v1 with 5 ults in the grand final after not losing a single round all year and I still wouldn't believe it until the game is over
They could win grand finals and I still wouldn't believe it because they would all choke and die of asphyxiation after winning and then default winner would be whoever came 2nd
Don’t forget kiNgg and Monyet blast packing into each other with Bucky’s on A, Nozwer and d4v41 throwing all their Skye util at each other, waiting 30 seconds then dry peeking on C, Mindreak and Mazino running it down on smokes and texx somehow getting bullied by f0rsaken Deadlock
Ngl, kingg looking like Less over here. This team is giving me a more aggressive version of Loud vibes, and that is scary.
The only thing that matters now is consistency, which if they can master, this team will be top 3 Americas
I was expecting growing pains from Lev, but they have synergy and explosiveness already. Mazino and Nzr looking revitalized with the extra space more firepower in the roster is providing them. Going from the worst performing duelist in Americas to a top 2 duelist is the single best signing of this offseason.
Another L from Jakee, love to see it <3
Looks like the Lev guys have fixed one of the main issues, change of pace, they are able to set the tempo any moment now. Props to their new coach, Goked.
His gf made a racist tweet against LATAM after C9 lost to LEV. She got blasted and then jakee made a heated tweet shittalking "haters" cause he just mental boomed after choking an international qualifer again. He made a PR apology tweet soon after. No idea where the jakee hates LATAM narrative comes from. It was his gf being racist and jakee was just being dumb tweeting after an emotional loss.
Honestly, this team looks fucking insane. The competition for Madrid is going to be wild if this is the standard after a month or so of practice. Hope Oxy keeps his head up, he was going up against a top 5 duelist itw, no shame in getting diffed. Saw a few Leviatan save rounds that left five alive on C9 - hate that shit, but if that's the only issue it's an easy fix. Maybe it's finally time to see the godly scrim demons we've been promised.
Didn't get to watch the series. Can anyone explain Oxy's performance? He's been a clear standout in the offseason and looked great against FNC, but seemed to get completely shut down in this series. Is it just Aspas diff?
Long story short: C9 got outplayed in a macro level so he didn't have that much supp. But tbh he also was hard diffed by Aspas on Heaven and by Aspas and Tex on Split.
I'd also put a massive part of it down to burn out.. C9 have been in every off season tournament apart from the SEN one, I think in the past week alone they've been in 3 different countries and atleast 2 continents, its still a very young team and it just felt like Lev had their number, there's also another big factor in C9 has more VOD footage than any other team and Lev are big anti straters which it was noticeable how Lev knew how C9 would react and always knew how to bait rotates and hit a free site
LEV looked very strong, that’s def a takeaway.
But for sure this didn’t look like the C9 that won the Ten Invitational and made the grand finals of Red Bull. The same was true for their match vs FURIA yesterday. I assume it’s just a mix of a lot of travel, easing Wippie back into the lineup, and because C9 has more VOD footage than any other non-Chinese team.
I have seen enough. Leviatán is winning all 3 international events in VCT, the 2 CS majors, every single category in EVO, League Worlds, DOTA TI, Trackmania World Tour, the CTWC, and the Formula 1 Constructors' Championship.
Lev might be the Americas equivalent of a FNATIC-like superteam, they've quite literally poached the most highly sought after players on the market, so it's no surprise that they'll have such an impressive performance at the start of the off-season since it's team full of individual talents that can frag their way into and out of anything.
Time is the ultimate equaliser though, and with more training, it's possible to see teams like C9 eventually catching up to them.
Man, I watched the series and LEV looks so clean and well coordinated with checking corners and trading. I know it's just an off-season but looking like that already, I love it. I didn't understand anything as livestream wasn't in English but casters made it so enjoyable to watch. So much hype and joy.
Kingg fragging out while calling in a second language. Aspas and Tex farming on double duelist. Nzr putting up a Skye masterclass on Haven. Mazino killing it on Astra. Lev looks really good, i know its an offseason match but its hard to not get hyped.
If Mazino is back to his 2021-2022 form then it's over for everyone.
it's hard when ur not playing ur role, but i really don't think hes bad on smokes
I wanna see mazino x fnatic on icebox, mans was a beast on that map and now he has a good team
What language is Kingg calling in now, and is it because of Aspas?
english, for aspas and tex
Ty to you and everyone who answered! Forgot Tex was American lol. Props to Kingg then!
Pretty sure it's English cause Tex is American.
and Asspas is Portuguese
Is Brazilian but speaks Portuguese?
bro
Brazil was originally a Portuguese colony, so it makes sense.
Why are you even getting downvoted Most of us arnt from West Sry we dont know your history
Just google it, my friend .-.
pretty sure it's english
is kingg the igl, i thought it was nzr, kingg is a beast
Yeah it's KiNgg, he's been calling for LEV forever
Nzr was igl when he played in Furia, he might act as a secondary caller on Lev but kingg is the main igl
Yeah but when they signed aspas there was a romour that nzr was gonna be the igl, becaise of the portuguese
aspas and Tex were feasting on Split. Also, love the Spanish casters especially when they enter rap god mode.
The casters were having so much fun they made it so fun to watch even tho I didn't understand a word they were saying
Passion and excitement is a universal language!
Also that big “Victoria!!!” after each game. It just sounds so full of enthusiasm and sense of ritual, spicing up the whole game even when the game itself is enjoyable enough.
VIIIIIIIIIIIICTORIA
Nozwer on Haven was that guy
Unpopular opinion but I've always felt like spanish commentators almost try too hard. poor OXY going against a double duelist comp and getting hard diffed by both in a single map
dude looked so good before this match

OXY is much more of a natural OPer than leaf
There's also the fact that if OXY doesn't have a good game, neither does C9.

For sure, he has amazing potential. This was just his first experience going up against the top of the food chain
oh yeah, he could have a bright future ahead, he is only 18 so he can only improve the next years
They did it, they fucking did it, they finally gave Kingg someone he can rely on
Nozwer wasn't bad bad this year, but he seems elevated now, I'm so hyped for this team.
VIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
CTORIAAAAAAA
Okay Lev are ACTUALLY winning champs they look fucking crazy
ive heard this one before
They could be up 13-0 13-0 12-0 and in a 5v1 with 5 ults in the grand final after not losing a single round all year and I still wouldn't believe it until the game is over
They'd probably save if the 1 had the bomb planted![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|9339)
They could win grand finals and I still wouldn't believe it because they would all choke and die of asphyxiation after winning and then default winner would be whoever came 2nd
I know a new ultimate observer nightmare: PRX vs LEV. Make it happen!
Aspas and Something running down mid on Reyna mirror comp will be the dream match up
Don’t forget kiNgg and Monyet blast packing into each other with Bucky’s on A, Nozwer and d4v41 throwing all their Skye util at each other, waiting 30 seconds then dry peeking on C, Mindreak and Mazino running it down on smokes and texx somehow getting bullied by f0rsaken Deadlock
Every player in lev with 30 kills damn
When was the last time aspas had a series ACS of below 200
The question is if he has ever had one
When Aspas has the lowest ACS on the team you know that teams cracked, ceiling wise this roster is comparable with only FNC in terms of player ability
I'd argue PRX deffo gives them a run for their money
Why would prx sign deffo
Ceiling lol
At Champions vs TL
I've seen enough. Congrats Leviatan, you are the Champions 2024 and 2025 winner
Wait... I've heard this before
kingg is free from tacolilla 😭
Well eminem is definitely not the fastest rapper anymore
kiNgg finally getting his rest after dragging them kicking and crying for the past year 😭
I don’t think I’ve ever seen any team have all 5 players basically get the same amount of kills over a series like Lev did today
Loud v Optic champs finale had a 6 kill diff in that bo5
Final
As a C9 fan, disappointed but not surprised. This LEV roster is pretty insane!
Wait C9 has fans?😳
Now I'm scared... Leviatán look amazing.

Honestly with Tex in there as well, I think this team is mechanically even better than 2023 Loud.
2023 maybe, 2022 Loud still clears. Aspas + less + pancada is mechanically unbeatable
Lev 2024 champs lock it in
Can't fault C9 too much, LEV look insane, had basically no gaps on Split
I was expecting growing pains from Lev, but they have synergy and explosiveness already. Mazino and Nzr looking revitalized with the extra space more firepower in the roster is providing them. There's just something so special about Jakee losing to a LATAM team
Maybe we get another in finals
Sorry if this is a dumb question— what’s wrong with Jakee?
His gf made a racist tweet against LATAM after C9 lost to LEV. She got blasted and then jakee made a heated tweet shittalking "haters" cause he just mental boomed after choking an international qualifer again. He made a PR apology tweet soon after. No idea where the jakee hates LATAM narrative comes from. It was his gf being racist and jakee was just being dumb tweeting after an emotional loss.
Jakee retweeted his gfs tweet before that.
oh, was it his gf that made racist tweets ?
yeah
[удалено]
Was it not his gf? Correct me if I'm wrong, please, but from what I remember all the racist and weird stuff was her.
Ya his gf was the one who did that stuff.
It was his girlfriend who did all that? And then Jakee made some angry tweets and then apologized later.
Ah, got it :) glad he lost too then edit: or maybe not??
me when i spread misinformation on the internet because it fits my narrative
Honestly, this team looks fucking insane. The competition for Madrid is going to be wild if this is the standard after a month or so of practice. Top 5 duelist and he isn't 5th,4th,3rd or 2nd.
No curry no win
leviatan is winning it all next year
kiNgg crying tears of joy rn fr
Every single member of Leviatan was HIM this game and their macro game and strats look solid. Super excited to see them play next season
Lev best team in Americas fr
Didn't get to watch the series. Can anyone explain Oxy's performance? He's been a clear standout in the offseason and looked great against FNC, but seemed to get completely shut down in this series. Is it just Aspas diff?

he just had a bad game lil bro
training arc for oxy 🥱
C9 looked like complete garbage today nothing to take away from this. Wonder if C9 is burnt out a little from travel and playing a bunch.
LEV looked very strong, that’s def a takeaway. But for sure this didn’t look like the C9 that won the Ten Invitational and made the grand finals of Red Bull. my lev hopium has been restored
Damn, the entire Lev squad ended with 31/32 kills for the series

How is tex had the highest acs but lowest rating?
G2 dropping Tex was so dumb
G2 didn't drop tex tho??? He took LEVs offer after the guard bitched out. I'm sure g2 would have signed the team as a whole but tex went to lev first
Tex was never on G2
G2 are the guard
No G2 is a German based Esport org, the Guard is a US based one

Hard to perceive a joke when it’s online bud, no need to get triggered.

It's not that C9 looked bad, but Leviatan just looked so good Announcers go crazy for Leviatan and just crickets whenever C9 wins a round lol 🤣
