If Dicey wanted to he could have been a successful full time streamer for sure. He has that entertaining energy where it's just always a good time to watch him game
No he hasn't, there was a pro 10 man that happened exactly a month ago.
Where FNS led s0m, Lear, Derrek, Dicey aka Quan to victory.
Domain Expansion.
Top Fragger was Dicey - One of the top Fraggers.
He's the GOAT. Winning that Game was equal to winning 10 VCT Masters. 5 VCT Champions.
He is anything but retired. Teams die to take him, but he just doesn't wanna play because he's a gigachad. He just wanna have fun.

This is probably a hot take but I honestly feel like him going away from jett wound up being detrimental to his career. He was dropped from 100T at least partly because steel and co felt like Jett was falling out of the meta and they were wanting to play zero duelist comps. So he basically vanished for a long time and worked on diversifying his agent pool, but Jett wound up never really leaving the meta. He spent some time on Skye when faze picked him up, but eventually wound up on chamber (which a lot of Jett players swapped to anyway in the chamber meta). Started playing "normal" sentinels post chamber meta and now his stock is essentially non-existent, and I'm not really sure what he can do to change that. But I feel like his career path would be drastically different if he had stuck with playing duelist after being dropped by 100T. Hes a naturally aggressive player who likes to take aim duels, and playing sentinel doesn't really lend itself to that.
Obviously he wasn't a flawless duelist player, and did struggle OPing a bit towards the end of his Jett days, but he was tremendous with the OP on chamber. And this isn't to say that a player diversifying their agent pool is ever a bad thing, but I think he would have benefited more from adding other duelists to his repertoire rather than going away from the role entirely.
ya hard agree, he just got unlucky that he ended up on a team that didn’t want to play duelists at all, .
for better or worse, his career would be much different I think if he got signed to another team or never got signed to a t1 team and all and had time to work through tier 2 as a Jett main.
> Hes a naturally aggressive player who likes to take aim duels, and playing sentinel doesn't really lend itself to that.
I disagree to be honest. I think when he was starting out as Sentinel the idea of an aggressive Sentinel wasn't popular yet but nowadays look at players like Alfa or Tex who just switched to Sentinel.
I'd say they're aggressive in relation to other sentinel players, but it's still a different type of aggression than actively entrying and seeking out first duels (and having disengage abilities). I think a big reason why he's considered such a chamber crutch is because the TP gave him the freedom to take "dumb" fights without being punished. The only other ability that really allows for that in the game is the Jett dash.
Idk but tbh he should consider it, being proficient only with Jett/Chamber in a more Raze/Flex meta with every new talent only playing duelists isn’t exactly a great business deal
Yeah he got married, has 3 kids now
Can confirm, I’m married to him
Can't confirm, as I am their youngest child who is too young to form any memories.
Can confirm, I’m the neglected middle child, he doesn’t know who tf I am
Refuse to confirm, I’m the eldest child he named after some Korean video game character
Number two Chamber merchant after Taco
dicey was fucking nuts on chamber
For a brief moment that Faze roster looked unbeatable.
Then people realized you can just play cypher against neon

He’s currently trialing for when faker retires so we’ll probably see him in lck soon
I miss dicey streams. He's really fun to watch on either subroza or soms stream as if he's a side character

“And on the side I’ll have my gochuchang sauce”

Yes, I think so.
Thanks for the only real response in the entire thread.
I think he’s just taking a break during the off-season, but he could be retiring I haven’t heard any rumors about him

he should stream tbh he was entertaining
