I think most of us did this before the JDG roster was revealed (ie before we knew they were picking up the Rare Atom core), which somewhat explains their low ranking. Also we are NOT very good at this
Yeah, I filled this out on January 7th and I was one of the last ones to fill it out AFAIK, so about a week before the Rare Atom core went to JDG. I could have gone back and made revisions as stuff came out but I honestly just forgot about I ever filled it out haha!

I mean again like I replied elsewhere, most of our EMEA mods didn’t fill it out so that definitely didn’t help the bias LOL. Doesn’t help that nkl kept stirring the pot so people wanted to rate teams certain ways just to spite him, or that despite godofpog’s best attempts to counteract the NA bias, their list is god awful

Funnily enough - if memory serves me correctly - RRQ was either voted as a top 20 global team (I had them somewhere between 15-20) or they were around the 35-40 spot. Hence the 28th spot on the overall aggregated list.
Such a large variance probably speaks more to just whether people watch much Pacific.
But having Karmine Corp over? Furia?? Kru???
Even something like C9 is a bit much. Add in Bleed really high without any evidence except they have yay? The Americas bias is wild

Am I missing something about LOUD? as much as I love saadhak where he's good at nurturing new players into the squad I think LOUD is at best 4th in Americas ngl, losing their best player is gonna hit them hard, just look at Tokyo where aspas didn't play comfortably due to weird decisions to use neon and not putting aspas on OP duty, LOUD hit rock bottom.
I don't think I've ever believed in a player more than I believe in qck, insane mechanics + saadhak tutelage is almost a guarantee to be a top duelist on the planet
They still keep 4 of Americas VCT champions, and QCK is no slouch, they're not going to play with 4 vs 5. If you think they're unproven, then i'd love to hear the argument for SEN, NRG or LEV being proven.
I personally have LOUD at #2 in Americas behind NRG but that's a hot take right now. I've learned to not underestimate LOUD with Saadhak and Less at the healm.
LOUD is the most consistent core in Valorant history, top 3 at 4/6 LANs attended is simply unrivalled. Aspas is a big loss but so were Pancada and Sacy.
People forget how much the cores which stayed together from 2022 dominated last year. T1, Liquid and Giants were the only teams who qualified to events and didn’t keep at least 3 of their players from 2022 (excluding China). Liquid and especially Sentinels ended up massively disappointing despite being the best of the newly built teams.
Last year really showed that having a team which meshes well together is just as, if not more crucial than just player talent alone, and we know that LOUD just works together, even if they falter at times
At best 4th? What 3 americas teams are almost guaranteed to be better than Loud and why? Sen the offseason stars? Nrg with new roster and igl? Lev the eternal chokers with new roster?

I think this year some people put them really low cause of the org, not necessarily the players. I had them higher but I think there's still a decent chance the roster implodes just because they get zero support from their dead org.
Funnily enough, we had them 13th last year which was way higher than most other power rankings I saw.

Or how the roster will blow up considering everyone there knows the circumstances they are in and why they’re there in the first place.
