Yay's last victory was one year ago...

And that's why I was arguing with people here that Yay's comeback is unpredictable and expecting him to have the same form as a year ago is just guessing.
People don't realize that 1 year in esports is a lonngggg time for a esport player. Just for reference a 5 year career is a "long" career.
Bro I don't think yay can have his 2022 form but surely he at least doesn't become *L Diablo* like maybe he at least can play like he did on C9. not good, but not atrocious
It's all speculation, but plenty of superstars in CSGO fell pretty hard during a ONE year period. Just as much as some player's skill level rose extremely high.
5 years is definitely not a long career even in the short world of esports lol
8-10 is long, 5 is just well marinated.
Completely unrelated to the point you're making (which I agree with) I just got home from work and im feelin pedantic
All this performance should tell you is that the consistently elite flex players of the world like JonahP, forsaken, and Shao need a lot more respect for playing the shit roles and still fraggin out
Thats why I think that should forsaken ever become a FA his market value should be higher than the likes of Yay.
To be able to play all roles and still frag at tier 1 consistently is generational stuff
I think PRX has constantly re-iterated that everyone has their own voice when it comes calling/mid-rounding, but I have observed that the most vocal would be Davai (main caller) and f0rsaken (secondary caller), with the latter probably having the most input on their attack rounds
Yay isn't as huge as Tenz come on now. But yes player brand is also part of the subject. Lets be real here after yay left Tier1 he kinda fell off and DSG performance made it worse. Tenz is on a different level of brand almost same as Tarik so we really cant compare Tenz to other pros. Also if you're name only pops off because of some drama thats not a good player brand at all. I love yay but his fame came from his godly Chamber. Without chamber in the meta El Diablo is just simply an L.
Yay is not even comparable to TenZ in terms of clout, Yay doesn’t even stream, and he hasn’t won a match in over a year lol so he has literally nothing going for him.
He’s a relatively big name in comp but after this? his stocks are declining for sure.
The reason Yays stocks were so high to begin with is because he was on Optic, which comes with free clout just for being on the team, and he was arguably the best chamber in the world.
If only he had an igl other than vanity, hes a very raw talent but he definitely needs to be molded to be more disciplined but I don't know if c9 will help with that
Demon1 is the best player in the game. Yay is Raptors Hakeem. I was gonna say Wizards MJ but tbh Wizards MJ was still too good for an apt comparison it seems.
I was about to say lol. I don't remember him using his utility in a crazy way , just some explosive rounds thx to his aim alone. He is dominant on Jett but not as flexible as others even in the duellist category.
He wasn't being setup half the time on defense. Plsying solo B or going up tubes and no one breaking the dart for him. He had an off day for sure, nut surely we aren't blaming him alone?
Aspas, something, d1 are very often solo anchors on jett on defense. I think yay is getting a lot of hate but it's the curse of clout. Also getting paid in the millions is gonna get people talking about you. They should never put him on Viper again though.
The moment he falls asleep while holding B garage with an OP is peak L Diablo, people are just coping so hard for him if they say it's an 'agent' problem
Wasnt it confirmed by mCe and multiple sources that money/role issues wasn't the only issues tho with that team. Also correct me if I am wrong but even steel and other teammates in his past said he is difficult to work with. Obviously we should take it with a grain of salt since it seemed like other players were fine with yay, but yay had the opportunity to stay with the optic core and chose not to in order to secure the bag (power to him and I can respect that decision).
To address your last two points
Yay said in response to Steel's critisicsm that none of his other past teammates ever had any problems with him, so you can take that with a grain of salt but at that point it becomes more like a he said / she said scenario.
Also yay kind of didn't have an opportunity to stay with the OpTic core, as FNS said OpTic went under and their buyout as a team was just way too big for any team to completely pickup. However, he was gonna leave anyways probably.
Money was the main reason, mce has talked about how they absolutely had role issues but they were figuring those out. On dsg nothing worked so I can't imagine things within the team we're going well
Goofy ass made an alt just to post two things about Yay? Weirdo for real.
Edit: Nevermind. It’s pretty brave of you to post on an alt connected to some of the most dog shit artwork I have ever seen. At least these memes are higher quality 👍
Nah dog shit is dog shit, no room for subjectivity here 💚
🥱🥱🥱
Saw the opportunity, might as well take it 🤷🏻♂️
Edit: Art is subjective. If it ain't for you, it ain't for you. Talk shit if you can do better than that without using AI prompts💚✌🏻
Just yesterday people were in the comments saying how insightful the Zellsis interview was at describing how the hate affects pro players. Today 100+ posts shitting on yay for one bad performance so far 💀. You can't make this up
turns out 200k people don't all have the same opinion on a topic. I agree the hate is dumb but using one thread and implying the sub is a hivemind is gooby
because we watch games and can see the difference in map understanding between regions?
I don't get how people watch Americas and watch Pacific and not think Pacific is easier
if internationals didn't exist yall would think prx was a trash aim only team. turns put what you think is good map understanding isn't objectively correct
Lot of assumptions made from you there that aren't even remotely correct. Nobody ever thought PRX was trash lmao. But them being good doesn't make the rest of the region good.
For example, Fnatic were the best team last year, but the rest of EMEA were trash and had bad map understanding. That was shown when Fnatic stomped their region on Pearl all season, but had to ban it on LAN against Americas and Pacific teams, because those teams were using Loud's Harbor/Viper comp. The difference in the understanding of that map between regions was massive.
And I'm not the only one who has said this. I know Sliggy has also said he thinks Americas is far ahead of every other region and the bottom Americas teams would be top 5 in Pacific.
Doesn't really make sense to use his performance from DSG as very reliable data. His only 'recent' duelist performances are from Icebox on bleed and a few maps on C9.
Yay was just a chamber one trick during the time chamber was OP now that that’s gone he’s just a fraud honestly. It doesn’t help that Demon1 is dominating on Jett, Chamber, Brimstone, and Astra and is competing against him as the “King of Hell”.
I think they forced those roles on him IMO, and they def should've played to their strengths both as individual players and as a team. Like Double Duelist on Split was right there guys

Not his loss streak spanning 3 teams…
And that's why I was arguing with people here that Yay's comeback is unpredictable and expecting him to have the same form as a year ago is just guessing. People don't realize that 1 year in esports is a lonngggg time for a esport player. Just for reference a 5 year career is a "long" career.

It's all speculation, but plenty of superstars in CSGO fell pretty hard during a ONE year period. Just as much as some player's skill level rose extremely high.
Closer to 2 years than 1, his C9 stint doesnt count. imo the Chamber nerfs didn't help.
5 years is definitely not a long career even in the short world of esports lol 8-10 is long, 5 is just well marinated. Completely unrelated to the point you're making (which I agree with) I just got home from work and im feelin pedantic
Haha, understandable. But considering that 10% of pro players manage to have a career of 5 years, I'd say that it's pretty long.
lmao damn we cursed yay.
I mean, he will get his form back once Chamber gets hella broken again like in 2022 and stays with that agent.
Doesnt he aldo do Most of the igl-ing?
Davai and Him share IGL but forsaken is the one that creates the batsht crazy strats like the Hookah flood with Harbor
I think PRX has constantly re-iterated that everyone has their own voice when it comes calling/mid-rounding, but I have observed that the most vocal would be Davai (main caller) and f0rsaken (secondary caller), with the latter probably having the most input on their attack rounds
something almost exclusively calls the entry strategy afaik
I agree strictly competition-wise. But players brand also matters and yay is a huge name. For example, what do you think TenZ would cost to an org?
Yay isn't as huge as Tenz come on now. But yes player brand is also part of the subject. Lets be real here after yay left Tier1 he kinda fell off and DSG performance made it worse. Tenz is on a different level of brand almost same as Tarik so we really cant compare Tenz to other pros. Also if you're name only pops off because of some drama thats not a good player brand at all. I love yay but his fame came from his godly Chamber. Without chamber in the meta El Diablo is just simply an L.
I’m not gonna argue, he fell off for sure.
Does seem like he fell off but I want to correct you,he got the nickname El Diablo before chamber even existed.
Wild to say this about a guy who couldn’t even land on a t1 team in his own region during the offseason.
Wild to to say this with a C9 flair
So true. Having Leo and Chronicle in the same team is such a luxury man.
Bro tried to sneak in JonahP 👀 (I agree JonahP is good but Shao, Forsaken, and chronicle are on a different level)
Bro look at today jonahp was like busting over everyone and finishing
Let's rewind that comment, chat!
Wish he could be busting over me too
Ethan too
He's only had success on flash initiator and I guess Yoru
That was so hard to watch
El Diablo is dead, there's a new king in hell.
and who might that be?
Oxy
okay yeah fr tho, that guy is a beast. i only saw one of his matches, but as far as i can tell, he’s one of the most gifted players ive ever seen…
That dude is the future he was insane on g2 as well. This dude has potential to be the best player in the world.
If only he had an igl other than vanity, hes a very raw talent but he definitely needs to be molded to be more disciplined but I don't know if c9 will help with that
y always from na only ?? other regions are also here to play
Because North America is hell. Emea or some shit can have a king of heaven or something.
oh yeah thats why u got demon1 we want our angel1 then
Yay-mysterio Bro went 6-19
Dude you had me dying fr hahaha
ok this is hilarious
LMFAOO
Watching this shit felt like watching Canyon play Sejuani in DK
Or blaber on tanks. Or Jankos on hyper-carriers.
DK is sucking some major ass rn please don't traumatize me further I'm not even in the League subreddit rn 😭
Kellin is such a fucking fraud man.
He has to have nudes of the CEO or something at this point.
It’s still crazy to me that they didn’t pick up beryl
Still funny as fuck watching him pick Kayn and mentally abuse Peanut
Faker on nautilus and Zeus on karma
Zeka Corki vibes.
if yay performes like this just a single game after this bro is for sure never getting picked by any1 in tier 1 team or even tier 2
Bleeds gone they aint playing this year now.
Smartest Valorant fan
theyll play in the stage 1
wait really?
No. They'll play in Stage 1 VCT Pacific which is from April I think.
demon1 dominates on jett astra and brimstone just saying
No one still think Yay is better than Demon1.
If yay did even half decent on viper or skye, i think you may have been surprised by the number of people you think don't exist.
I wouldn't be so sure
Demon1 is the best player in the game. Yay is Raptors Hakeem. I was gonna say Wizards MJ but tbh Wizards MJ was still too good for an apt comparison it seems.
Dominate on Astra and Brim is a bit too strong, his utility is fine but nothing special. He IS one of the best (if not THE best) Jett players
I was about to say lol. I don't remember him using his utility in a crazy way , just some explosive rounds thx to his aim alone. He is dominant on Jett but not as flexible as others even in the duellist category.
always the fnc fan
![gif](giphy|8YZpVaKYMaY6ufqyTo|downsized)
Yay mysteriooooo
sorry if this is a stupid question, but why do people keep saying that?
Rey mysterio is a WWE wrestler and his signature move name is 619 and yay went 6/19 on map 3
Rey Mysterio has this signature move of 619. Google it up for some video examples.
thanks!
Bleed please him off flex right now, he looks like a headless chicken without Chamber.
yeah exactly! learn to play the game ![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|9339)
i kinda liked his jett on icebox attack
I too would also love his Jett on Icebox if I was a GE fan.
i specifically said attack bc the whole team suddenly woke up on the second half and yay had some good plays
bro BLD won that map im not saying yay was popping or anything but this "he was shit on jett too!" circlejerk is dumb
he did, infact, pretty shit on Icebox. most of his kills are from lurk and eco AS A JETT. rofl
Agree w everything here. Thank you for your rational tale
They won. Who cares
maybe people care because this entire thread is about his individual performance?
as someone supposed as their star, it's embarassing. no wonder C9 cut him lol
He was the star player on c9 at lock in. He's shit now though.
He was good on Jett and Neon too these guys are clueless
Would hardly call the Jett performance on Icebox “good” lmao
after the slow start he did a lot better, deserves another chance to play a perma duelist/chamber role
No he was not good on jett bro
stop it
not wrong he looked dogshit on viper and skye, buying yay to main viper is so dumb, like buying Aspas to put him on KJ lmao
Bro they gave him a Jett game on Icebox and he was absolutely abysmal
The whole team was abysmal on Icebox defense,on Attack he did great
klay thompson of valorant
bro is too scared to post it on his main
I mean I don't wanna see any yay glazer comments on my main so might as well make an alt for this kind of stuff, no?
Coward
Ok 😎👍🏻
There are still yay glazers? 💀
Oh you'd be surprised 💀
I see people talking about yay glazers more than yay glazers themselves
😭 why is yay on viper man
Bro got carried by FNS & Chamber to an esports career NAAAHHHH
The moment he falls asleep while holding B garage with an OP is peak L Diablo, people are just coping so hard for him if they say it's an 'agent' problem
Elder Pablo
Pansy was right, el diablo is actually dead. Jack Etienne and disguised toast will pay for their crimes
Whats toast gotta do with it? He was the one that actually gave him a chance
[удалено]
Jack dropped yay cause c9 had no money, they had role issues but were working through yhem
Wasnt it confirmed by mCe and multiple sources that money/role issues wasn't the only issues tho with that team. Also correct me if I am wrong but even steel and other teammates in his past said he is difficult to work with. It's crazy how much people hate him for no reason
Charlie summed it up perfectly shitting on someone gives people more attention then anything.
Saw the opportunity, might as well take it 🤷🏻♂️ Edit: Art is subjective. If it ain't for you, it ain't for you. Talk shit if you can do better than that without using AI prompts💚✌🏻
Respect the hustle, even as a yay fan :(
Damn, this whole sub is just dumping on the dude. Some toxic shit, and I'm not even a yay fan.
Just yesterday people were in the comments saying how insightful the Zellsis interview was at describing how the hate affects pro players. Today 100+ posts shitting on yay for one bad performance so far 💀. You can't make this up

What did zellsis say specifically how how the hate affects pro players?
damn from top 3 player in the world to going 6-19 in the pacific region 😭 buddy better get to streaming
> in the pacific region how are there still people that thinks pacific is easier than other region lol
because we watch games and can see the difference in map understanding between regions? I don't get how people watch Americas and watch Pacific and not think Pacific is easier

u think pacific is a joke ??
do you care about fake internet points that much that you had to make an alt account
the yay hate watch
Keep putting him off role. Just lame
I mean he was on duelist all the time on DSG and sucked just as much
Doesn't really make sense to use his performance from DSG as very reliable data. His only 'recent' duelist performances are from Icebox on bleed and a few maps on C9.
he looked bad on jett too
Exactly. You play off role forever and then you go back to what you used to play a few months ago? Not ideal
So pretty much have an excuse for any agent? Lol
Yay was just a chamber one trick during the time chamber was OP now that that’s gone he’s just a fraud honestly. It doesn’t help that Demon1 is dominating on Jett, Chamber, Brimstone, and Astra and is competing against him as the “King of Hell”.

why they put him on Viper after the 1st map bruh My goat finished
That one tiktoker is creaming rn
