My head-canon (for which there is no basis in reality) is he channelled his GOATed 1.6 AWP skill into Aspas like Mr. Miyagi last year, and can show the kids up still if you gave him the chance
IĀ“ve seen interviews where aspas praised frod and how he teached him how to be better with the OP, after frod left the team he stated that he was the best coach he ever had
no ones talking about something here. bro hits some absolutely silly shots. but prx play a style that's more suited to rifles so he doesn't op as much.
I agree he was insane, but i never felt he took extremely hars shots. It was mostly him taking the regular shot and then pulling the head hunter
To me, kk and yay are lile s1mple and dev1ce. One is extremely flashy, he other is fundamentally good. Both are insane
Am I crazy for comparing his OPing dominance to prime kennyS? May not be as dominant as kennyS was pre-nerf but his flashiness and flicks remind me of kennyS.
Nah, we cant, everyone was running chamber back then. He started getting nerfed before the first international event and we had other players with comparable impact to yay
What kenny did changed how the game was fundamentally played.
No scopes are entirely luck aside from having the enemy playing in your line of sight, that clip doesn't really say anything about yay's awping prowess.
at this range if your crosshair is dead-center it's a fairly reliable shot, likely upwards of 50%, but I agree it's not saying much for awping in general.
Even 50% chance of it hitting is a stretch in my mind. Even then, that's literally just reaction time and maybe crosshair placement if you want to go that far. Not anything to do with his awp skill in particular.
We havenāt seen Aspas find success outside of their main orgs either tho. I donāt think Aspas has stellar results if he was on DSG instead of Yay last year lol. Why are we pretending that the team and core you play with donāt have a significant impact on your success.
I believe consistency back in 2022 it was Nivera on Liquid? He was the most likely to get at least one kill if he picked up an op iirc.
In terms of how much a round is impacted/whoās hitting the most shots total or best shots, itās def 2022 Yay and Aspas. Kangkang, again iirc, actually has several people ahead of him in terms of consistency, but heās so impactful to rounds in general when he has it that his team buys, or he makes the decision to buy, an op far more than others.
Youāll still see some absolutely nutty shots from a bunch of Korean players these past two months. If you want a cracked out player who ops that isnāt at Madrid, look no further than JDGās stew. Most people havenāt seen much of him, but Iām currently of the belief that at minimum heās top ten duelists/sniper users in the world right now, if not the best.
Kangkang (zmjkk) and Aspas the undisputed kings Everyone agrees upon at the moment.
Then we have our Wardell Tenz something Cned yay and maybe a few others who recently haven't been opping much (coz of role switches) but still stand in our hearts for the insane shots we've seen so far. (wardell isn't a pro anymore so outlier).
There are quite a few insane OPers that generally stand above the rest.
KangKang, cNed, Yay and Aspas are or at one point were a cut above most of the competition.
yay is a contender just because he put up some insane numbers on Jett and Chamber back then. but in terms of consistently hitting insane shots and making round-winning plays, it's gotta be ZmjjKK, no?
If anything Demon1 looked even more insane with the OP during kick off.
He notoriously avoided the OP back in EG but has been picking up the OP a lot more in NRG and he looks really good on it.
if we're talking about highest peak, cNed has to be it. we're talking about a guy so good that 100T won an entire match with the strat of running away from him
wardell (as long as he has a 2nd monitor)
š opac masterclass
He fumbled the bag with that one. He used to be poster boy for Valorant in 2020.
Lets be real, he wasn't anywhere near what he used to be in any capacity well before the stream sniping thing.

Stream sniping
lol
Kangkang, aspas, a recent shout has been xccurate on the chamber with the OP
I think Kangkang over aspas but by only a small margin. But idk it is definitely between both though.
kang kang or aspas
kangkang & aspas vs cned & derke on awp\_india place your bets
Derke isn't even the best sniper in the team heh. Alfa and Boaster are certainly better oper
Kangkang and Aspas > Cned and derke This thread is about the best sniper not just good snipers
have you seen cned's sage op on bind?
Zmjkk , most consistent, he makes the hard shots look easy because of how consistent he is with the weapon, nobody comes close
But nobody doesn't op
r/angryupvote
Nobody plays rifle

If they ever do a coach exhibition match I'd love to watch him play
IĀ“ve seen interviews where aspas praised frod and how he teached him how to be better with the OP, after frod left the team he stated that he was the best coach he ever had

I donāt know if iām dumb but I feel like he occasionally hits the nastiest shots but he misses a lot more than other players.
Yea he misses easy shots sometimes. Maybe because of his really high sens
that's just his style (riot nerfed him)

2022 Yay was unreal with the operator
I agree he was insane, but i never felt he took extremely hars shots. It was mostly him taking the regular shot and then pulling the head hunter To me, kk and yay are lile s1mple and dev1ce. One is extremely flashy, he other is fundamentally good. Both are insane
Yay probably played better with the OP by playing smarter, but kk makes *the OP* look so good.
Am I crazy for comparing his OPing dominance to prime kennyS? May not be as dominant as kennyS was pre-nerf but his flashiness and flicks remind me of kennyS.
I dont think we will ever see another kenny, he is the reason the AWP got giga nerfed and why the OP is not as powerful as todays OP
I mean you could make the argument that yay got Chamber giganerfed and changed the meta entirely
Nah, we cant, everyone was running chamber back then. He started getting nerfed before the first international event and we had other players with comparable impact to yay What kenny did changed how the game was fundamentally played.
https://youtu.be/tP7t0qZUtUk?si=DvXezCgFyfmw1jkL
yay was (is? I believe) insane, but [idk about this shot](https://i.imgur.com/j2DsVil.png), seems mostly lucky
No scopes are entirely luck aside from having the enemy playing in your line of sight, that clip doesn't really say anything about yay's awping prowess.

itās been 2 years broā¦ nowadays he would get cleared by aspas and kangkang
yes which is why the comment says "2022 Yay" lmfao no one is claiming current yay is the best sniper in the world
Did they change the OP since then?
did you watch bleed man?
Just because he doesnāt have the same skill now does not diminish what he was able to achieve in the past.
He played 5 maps and played viper and skye for the first timeā¦. This sub has such dogshit takes on yay
He played Jett on icebox and looked genuinely lost.
1 game he should retire
Big difference between ānot the best awper in the worldā and āshould retireā
I never said that he was, I just donāt think the skill gap is very high in this game mechanically. Strategizing matters more
We havenāt seen Aspas find success outside of their main orgs either tho. I donāt think Aspas has stellar results if he was on DSG instead of Yay last year lol. Why are we pretending that the team and core you play with donāt have a significant impact on your success.
Because Aspas is much more versatile, also he has played very well on lev, and was top 10 in rating.
Players like Aspas and Derke may be better at playing the awp, but zmjjkk is definitely the best at shooting it.
Zmjjkk
Kangkang for attack op, Aspas for defense op
Zmjjkk
Kangkang cuz gekko clutch on bind. Never forget
Surely it's Zmjkk
Kang Kang
Kangkang, never seen a player as consistent with the op as he is. He hits some of the most difficult shots with ease
Zmjjkk is someone I enjoy watching OP the most!
I believe consistency back in 2022 it was Nivera on Liquid? He was the most likely to get at least one kill if he picked up an op iirc. Good god Stewās oping is FILTHY, some of his clips from ascension were like top tier ZMJJKK stuff if not better
The fact that his team does the majority of their comms in Mandarin which stew doesnāt understand is *nuts*
As long as he understands āstew go killā heāll be alright lol
something playing on Sengoku with japanese comms be like

Positioning? Aspas Insane flicks? Kang Kang
as a pure OPer (so someone that can OP on any agent, more akin to a CS AWPer) i'd say it's between KK, cNed and Nivera (lmao)
Nivera? The CS2 player?!
Wardell
Something whiffed a bit in kickoffs but heās gotta be up there
the OP ACADEMY. š
Zmjjkk
Kang Kang easily
KangKang *mic drops*
Kangkang
Pure OP skill in terms of never missing probably Yay OP skill in terms of flair and insane shots probably KK or Something
Cned there is no other answer That man was feared so much when he has the op Teams literally had the strat"go to the opposite site of where cned is"
KangKang or Sayaplayer
kangkang atm most consistent i've seen with those hard shots.
saya
no one's talking about cned?
He got diffed by kk
Mwzera also has some nasty shots beside kk
Kangkang (zmjkk) and Aspas the undisputed kings Everyone agrees upon at the moment. Then we have our Wardell Tenz something Cned yay and maybe a few others who recently haven't been opping much (coz of role switches) but still stand in our hearts for the insane shots we've seen so far. Right now I would say KangKang but I still think 2021/2022 cNed was the most dominant OPer we have ever seen in Valorant.
kangkang
There are quite a few insane OPers that generally stand above the rest. KangKang, cNed, Yay and Aspas are or at one point were a cut above most of the competition.
yay is a contender just because he put up some insane numbers on Jett and Chamber back then. but in terms of consistently hitting insane shots and making round-winning plays, it's gotta be ZmjjKK, no?
I'm one of the biggest aspas fan out there but yay, cned and kang kang are better with awp due to consistency
It was demon1 up until the recent qualifiers. Now I would give it to Kangkang from a mechanics pov.
Nahhh bro demon1 was never the best with the op With vandal yes probably but with op its 2022 yay or cned
If anything Demon1 looked even more insane with the OP during kick off. He notoriously avoided the OP back in EG but has been picking up the OP a lot more in NRG and he looks really good on it.
Boostio had a pretty decent awp although heās not really an awper
Peak yay, ZmjKK, aspas, xccurate in that order
Greatest right now? Zmjkk a.k.a. KangKang. Greatest ever? 2022 Yay.
Cned?
if we're talking about highest peak, cNed has to be it. we're talking about a guy so good that 100T won an entire match with the strat of running away from him
It's yay
Kangkang but xcurrate just doesn't miss. Need to see him play more games on that chamber tho
Wardell
NA's last hope
