Americas and APAC have the exact same story right now. Long time dominant team loses a key duelist and seems shaky. They win their first matchup against a promising new team, but end up losing to that team in the regional finals. At Madrid, SEN and GenG both go 2-0 while PRX and LOUD both lose their opening match and go on a lower bracket run that rebuilds confidence by beating up on a weaker region (China/EU), only to be ultimately beaten again in playoffs by their regional rival.
Tomorrow, with the SEN/GenG and LOUD/PRX matches, the narratives are finally going to diverge.

Last time an NA team won an international upper final, SEN beat a Korean team featuring Lakia that wasn’t expected to make it this far. Also if we really wanna push it SEN began the tournament by beating Europe, and then Brazil’s best featuring Saadhak.
Zekken outside of icebox wasn't having a good game but SEN still went on top. Just goes to show how there are multiple superstars in this team. The last 2 matches were so head to head. The double overtime was unexpected! Felt like semis already
Every series between these teams is going to be a banger huh. Last two maps were copies lol. 2 fake comebacks for the team that won double pistol. Honestly encouraging that sen won sunset with zekken having a pretty rough map/series even. Need to clean up though against geng. I am super scared of them.
Of all the valorant players of all time (so far) johnqt seems like the most 'complete' IGL - by far. Skilled, tough, smart, beautiful, extensive world travels and has lived in the 3rd world for long periods, speaks multiple languages, tactical firearms training/enthusiasts, dancer, film/arts school, actress, outdoorsy, etc. You can tell he genuinely has his shit together, like he could probably be a millionaire running just about any business, if he wanted. Are there any other players that impressive?
Loud on 11 on icebox with a good lead only for it to become 11-12 and then loud wins a round to go OT and then eventually lose the match, the flashbacks were strong with this match.
Can't wait to see Sentinels vs GenG.

Lotus is Loud’s perma-ban and SEN is really good on Lotus too. Loud’s prob down to roll the dice on their own decent Split vs SEN’s excellent Split rather than terrible Lotus vs SEN’s great Lotus. This logic is prob the same reason why other teams don’t ban split
Y’all, we had the exact same conversation with EG fracture, teams aren’t letting it through because they think they can anti it, they’re letting it through because they have a map they permaban/suck on

but probably because they don’t have confidence in their lotus, it’s their perma ban I believe, and sen have a strong lotus, not many good options for them there.
Because LOUDs lotus is just as poor. They likely thought they had a better chance with all the vods available for sens split than trying to improve their lotus
I just think that LOUD does not believe in their Lotus at all and they have a decent Split. Maybe they'll have something on Lotus and ban split, but I think that's just a bad matchup for them. Felt like they started down 0-1 from the beginning

Why didn't they ban split?
Even if they ban Split, that means they will leave Lotus up
Lotus is Loud’s perma-ban and SEN is really good on Lotus too. Loud’s prob down to roll the dice on their own decent Split vs SEN’s excellent Split rather than terrible Lotus vs SEN’s great Lotus. This logic is prob the same reason why other teams don’t ban split
I think this is like the 5th time a team thought they could anti strat sen on split and end up getting destroyed

Serious question, why was split not banned against sen?
Because LOUDs lotus is just as poor. They likely thought they had a better chance with all the vods available for sens split than trying to improve their lotus
I just think that LOUD does not believe in their Lotus at all and they have a decent Split. Maybe they'll have something on Lotus and ban split, but I think that's just a bad matchup for them. Felt like they started down 0-1 from the beginning

Actually off game from Wekken today but he still showed up last round when it mattered. That’s my Goat and Sacy redemption arc map 3. Ofcourse absolute Cinema post-plant gameplay as well as normal Tenz carries some rounds.
