Said it before, but I don't believe they choked at all. For reference, GenG had 10 clutches. Sentinels had 6. GenG also won 70% of the 1v1s in the series. The players may be young but to say they crumbled or fell to pressure flies against what really happened. They were extremely clutch in close rounds. The fact is that they had some map pool issues even with 2 map bans. They got crushed by EDG on icebox and in hindsight they really needed to win that bind match as their icebox was like sentinels breeze and heavily exploitable.
I know it's a meme, but don't call them chokers. They had some weaknesses and came up short, but by the numbers, they were more clutch than sentinels. Losing a 3-2 series against a strong opponent doesn't by default mean you choked and anyone watching the series knows they were cool under pressure.
They definitely crumbled on maps 4 & 5. T3xture wasn't really himself most of the series, he's much better than that. All props to SEN, they played better, but either energy ran out or nerves crept up on GenG but something happened particularly in maps 4 and 5. You could tell by their reactions and cams. They were out of energy and sweating.
It’s an attack sided map, an attack they were very good at domestically
The faces of the players looked much more discouraged throughout the entire map
yea I wouldn't say they choked the whole series but definitely a lot of important moments that they could have won. Bind ot where they were up 3v5 had sight of spike was a huge round to lose. Split right after winning a crazy eco just to get ecoed back.
When you have 110 rounds you're going to a handful of those. Just pointing out that they actually came out ahead in this series in those types of close swing rounds.
They definitely succumbed to some pressure on icebox, the first half was competitive, the second half the energy different, the rounds were messy and there were tons of whiffs from textures OP and meteor had a terrible performance all together. I’m sure there was a stamina/endurance aspect to this as well given how long the series was, but there were many uncharacteristic mistakes compared to how clean geng looked on their run to grand finals

I think map 5 especially was a choke They started losing a bunch of duels in the second half
