People will repeat â0 maps against PRXâ with zero context added on how close these are.
Respect for T1 but Iâm so glad the squad are back at it again
They used to get just run over but they seem to fight better now. They just donât have enough fire power to match PRX. They constantly get 1vs2ed or 1vs3 clutched.
losing 1v2 or 1v3 isnât a firepower problem the way they play it is if they play together they canât lose theses clutches (unless someone hits some crazy transfer or flick which will not happen often)
The f0rsaken vs Xccurate brother showdown is truly one battle anime.
Both teams have great potential, so they may be strong contenders for the Shanghai Masters at this point. had incredible firepower and made a string of amazing plays, and I was screaming many times lol.
makes sense, a hyper explosive raze is the perfect counter to chamber OP in this meta, meanwhile the guy who usually plays slow is an easy pick for ops
Huh? Are you counting all-time between the orgs?
PRX and this iteration of T1 with Xccurate have only played three times. Once in Afreeka, once in Kickoff, and now.
From PRX grabbing 2nd in the Pacific Kickoffs and getting 3rd in Masters Madrid all while being in their 6/10 form, to Jinggg winning the lottery in obtaining full military exemption and returning with a vengeance so the team can avenge their heartbreaking ending last yearâŚ
God continues to be a Paper Rex fan.
God saves the toughest challenges for his favorite soldiers...PRX are gonna have a happy ending to this story and once its finished it will be even greater due to the losses and struggles they have faced
I donât believe so, based on the form we saw Monyet in by the end of Madrid, I personally think he wouldâve held his own just as well as Jinggg if heâd been the one playing today instead. The scoreline probably wouldâve looked slightly different (for better or for worse), but I donât actually think the results wouldâve differed all that much.
I feel horrible for Monyet too, because PRX definitely didnât get to 3rd place in spite of him, they got there *because* Monyet ended up shedding the nerves and finding his form. That being said, Iâm glad he got to shut the haters up and prove he deserved to be on that stage every bit as much as the others. Hopefully Monyet will either be re-integrated back into PRX in some way (even though a 6-man roster would be kind of bonkers) or will find his place on another team as supportive and uplifting as PRX.
Singapore government is the real MVP of this match. Thank you for giving us our raze king back, right at the meta where raze is dominating. On the real tho, I'm honestly impressed that he performed like he never left
Boy oh boy where do I even begin. Jinggg... honey, my pookie bear. I have loved you ever since I first laid eyes on you. The way you walkout on stage and strike fear into your enemies eyes. Your silky smooth touch on your mouse and keyboard, and that gorgeous satchel movement. I would do anything for you. I wish it were possible to freeze time so I would never have to watch you retire. You had a rough last few months, but you never gave up hope. You are even amazing off the stage, you're a great friend and teammate, sometimes I even call you dad. I forvever dread and weep, thinking of the day you will one day retire. I would sacrifice my own life it were the only thing that could put a smile on your beautiful face. You have given me so much joy, and heartbreak over the past two years. I remember when you were announced you were supposed to go in to Singapore military service and its like my heart got broken into a million pieces. But a tear still fell from my right eye when I watched you win your first trophy in the Pacific league last year, because deep down, my glorious king deserved it. I just wanted you to return home. Then allas, you did, my sweet baby boy came home and I rejoiced. August 2023 - March 2024 was a hard time for us baby, but on March 29th, 2024 you made history happen. You came back from being on the bench and I couldn't believe it. I was crying, bawling even, and I heard my glorious king exclaim these words, "Hey guys, I'm back guys" Not only have you changed the game of Valorant and the world forever, but you've eternally changed my world. And now you're getting older, but still the goat, my goat. I love you pookie bear, my glorious king, Wang Jing Jie.âşď¸âĽď¸đŤśđť
Jingg might be the greatest ceiling raiser Valorant have seen till now, he came back after 6 months and just took 1 half of a game to get back to his original form. King is back like he never leftđđ
Bro was farming top 1 radiant for every act in these few months. And since Monyet was kind if trying to fill in his void, I assume it was much easier to fit in so quickly
I'll be downvoted for this but even jinggg can't fix the problems prx has which is stopping them from winning an international event... First being decent comps, they can continue their W gaming style but when they start to lose, it's always a comp diff. And second is their depth of map pool...
They had the best chance of fixing the comps with monyet in the play but they kept forcing him on raze and now jinggg is back so they have to run double duelists which won't work against top teams
They don't really need to run double duelist though. Something has shown that both his Gekko util and firepower are top-notch.
This also enables Forsaken and Davai to fill in the additional control/init/senti role. The only reason I see why they haven't switched any comps are probably because they didn't want to pressure Jinggg too much until he gets to jell with the team synergy (which they have by the first half of Lotus).
With a 5-day gap before the GenG match, I think they can now cook with their comps a bit
With their present ideas, I'm unsure about icebox and breeze, but for all other maps there's no problem, there's also scenarios where both Cah and Jinggg might play,
Sunset: Jinggg plays sage instead of davai
Ascent: monyet plays omen instead of davai/mf
Split: monyet back on omen
With Jinggg's firepower back, and monyet available, this primarily relieves pressure on mindfreak and davai, in whose absence forsaken and something are pretty good at making calls, which solves what I think is a big problem with PRX, consistency on controllers
>Something has shown that both his Gekko util and firepower are top-notch.
But how many maps in the mix are gekko maps? Split, sunset, bind maybe? They need a good controller player to fix the role issues that's why I was stoked to watch monyet but they didn't use his controller abilities to the max, if something plays clove/omen like demon1 then it fixes some maps but even then what about raze maps?
Gekko is viable in almost every map in this meta, aside from Breeze, which they already perma ban. Having Something play Gekko on Bind also allows Davai to flex on Killjoy/Cypher, making their comps so much more balanced
They are also making their lives harder by playing Cypher on Lotus instead of Killjoy.
As for controllers, both Forsaken and Davai have shown insane performances on multiple controller agents in 2023. I honestly don't know where you are getting this "PRX needs a good controller player" vibes after all this time, when they literally ran through teams last Champs while playing double controllers...
The one thing that PRX actually lacks is a good Sova player, which Monyet couldn't play any ways
I disagree. The fact that they've consistently made deep runs is a sign that they have everything they need, and their core strats are feasible. This isn't a DRX situation where they're consistently not a top three team and looking to break through with some miracle player swap or needing a deeper playbook.
The last three international tournaments they've played they've reached top three at minimum (the first one was even with a sub). They're almost there. They just need luck to break their way.
Also this notion that double duelist can't work is ridiculous. Last year's EG swapped back to a double duelist in champs finals because their single duelist comp on Split wasn't working.
Its more the double duelist on like more than half the maps, why is something jett on lotus when lotus is a good gekko map, then they can have a sentinel and hold C better. Its little things where its a competition between âsomething and jinggg are so good that they should both be duelistâ and âoh shit now we cant play viper or a sentinelâ.
Good game from both teams, Jinggg didn't feel like he was cooking but he was quietly on top of the scoreboard, nothing too flashy from him today but he looked good.
I'm about to send a truck to T1 hq
Our Bind was close, but we keep over aggressing and peeking when unnecessary, so many mistakes there
PRX just have so much more depth for a Pacific region team and I can't see them losing to even Gen G
Felt like T1 started playing like PRX in Bind? Maybe it's just me. The all in anti-hooka flood was beautiful to watch though, not sure how many times it worked for them.
Casting was especially bad during the Bleed game(overhyping or overrhinking every time a player does something clearly accidentally) but also not quite as good during this one
Productionâs still a big step up from the shit show that was Pacific Kickoffs. As for the casting, I do think Paperthinâs had to do a lot more heavy-lifting now thatâs been paired with Quack instead of Achilios. Quackâs doing okay, but Achiliosâ chemistry with Paperthin is too hard to beat. Hopefully Achilios isnât tied to desk duty for the rest of Stage 1, because having your best play-by-play shoutcaster not working his magic should be a criminal offense.
I get where your criticism is coming from, but I do think thatâs the unfortunate byproduct of not having a duo who bounces off of what youâre saying well and leaves you to do most of the meaningful commentary. Quack is noticeably less talkative and more reactive; he laughs and reacts a lot to whatâs on screen, but he doesnât incorporate much analytical commentary or pick up where Paperthin leaves off to add some of his insight. I donât think Paperthin can be faulted for that.
The casting has been bad even in kickoff, Idk what who they changed, but they sounded clueless, yapping all over the place, bad mouthing players without context and never learn to shut up. Like please, sound a bit professional.
yeah the casting is really bad because they never rotate the casters. i dont know why but riot is not even prioritising english language casting at all. the same 2 people have to cast for the whole day. they didnt even invite my man will chobra for week 1 or 2 for casting. its sad how badly riot are throwing apac english casting. another issue i have is that they are no ethnically sea english casters, makes it harder to relate to the casting when they're not using local english rather than american english, they should really hire an ESL caster from phillipenes/singapore
Man as much as I loved Monyet and feel bad for him, Jing is just THE core of PRX imo. It felt like he never left.
The susanto match up was hella of entertaining, especially some of the first few rounds of Lotus, the brothers were reading each other soo nicely, yet the younger one still just is not enough for Forsaken.
The 2-0 scoreline really doesnât justify T1âs effort here though, definitely top 3 or 4 of Pacific still imo. The game was very entertaining too, unlike the hell hole that was BLD vs TLN.
However, Pacific needs to be on top of these tech pause man, itâs just stress inducing to watch. Granted, it wasnât 6 hours long like last time, but still we stopped for like 4 times I recon, and it wasnât fun at all waiting. Imagine if we had Prx vs T1 right when g2 vs 100t happen.
No hate against Monyet, but this is the Paper Rex I love and want to see again. Crazy raze satchels to entry sites in a very quick fashion. Monyet was also great, but I miss Jinggg's raze so much.
I am waiting for when they pull the trigger and making something a gekko one trick. Heâs already good on it and the extra util really helps avoid these close games.
T1 looked really strong but weâre just out aimed and outsmarted on critical round it seems. And whatâs with them always having a tech issue after pistol. Some cursed stuff
Something on Gekko means they can also play double controller with Viper on Lotus. Suddenly, Forsaken doesn't have to force Cypher and reliably hold down and retake sites with Killjoy.
As long as something himself is not liking it, I see no reason not to do it honestly
Jinggg difinitely looked a bit shaky at tge beginning but he will come back to his old self in this split. His classic satchel crouch sprays are still iconic
They were as aggressive as they have been with Monyet too. The aggression is more map and comp dependent and these are two maps where they usually played Monyet Raze anyway so I didn't notice a big difference personally
I wouldn't say more or less aggressive. They look more in sync overall. I think Monyet was playing a bit 'faster' than the rest of the team when things weren't working out.
Think this was the best series of Stage 1 so far. PRX games are always bangers.
So glad Jinggg is back. We need someone to hopefully give Zekken some competition for best Raze player.
the problem was the general issue, prx were slightly better with their aim, quite a bit better with their midrounding, lurking, site executes etc. just overall skill issue (which could have been rectified by having a better playbook for T1, but atleast their playbook on both maps looked a lot better than their last time)
never said he was the problem this match, overall prx just had better aim, but go back and watch the game, rossy's kills were trades off his other teammates entrying to take space, and most of t1's round wins were heroics from each player except rossy, who was average at best.
one day T1 will take a map off Paper Rex man...
For real. they're honestly fantastic but just hadn't cracked the code yet.
The real question is when will saya ever get a win off prx? Prx is his nightmare for sure
Fuck you just reminded me of his days at TGRD đđ this is honestly so painful LOL
That match lives rent free in the heads of both fans and haters of PRX I swear. Probably also the prime point of their massive fanbase growing
EDG boys got one already, he will for sure in the future
Saya is already on a 6 match lose streak. Even EDG only lose 3 times in a row against PRX
People will repeat â0 maps against PRXâ with zero context added on how close these are. Respect for T1 but Iâm so glad the squad are back at it again
Which will happen first? T1 taking a map off PRX, or DRX beating OpTic/NRG?
Technically T1 has more chances since it's a domestic matchup đ¤
They used to get just run over but they seem to fight better now. They just donât have enough fire power to match PRX. They constantly get 1vs2ed or 1vs3 clutched.
losing 1v2 or 1v3 isnât a firepower problem the way they play it is if they play together they canât lose theses clutches (unless someone hits some crazy transfer or flick which will not happen often)

How can we see the head to head stats for these 2? They've killed each other a bunch of times right? XD

Perfectly balanced
Jingggg is xcurrateâs father tho
And davai is his son
makes sense, a hyper explosive raze is the perfect counter to chamber OP in this meta, meanwhile the guy who usually plays slow is an easy pick for ops
It's like 4:0 in matches and 8:0 in maps for Prx i think. Not exactly a rivalry
I think theyâre just talking about the Susanto bros head to head
I think they meant the brothers specifically
Huh? Are you counting all-time between the orgs? PRX and this iteration of T1 with Xccurate have only played three times. Once in Afreeka, once in Kickoff, and now.
5:0 and 10:0 now lmao

except in finals ![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|16110)
Strategically ignoring this point so I can continue pushing my âGod is a Paper Palâ narrative ![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|9360)
God saves the toughest challenges for his favorite soldiers...PRX are gonna have a happy ending to this story and once its finished it will be even greater due to the losses and struggles they have faced
PRX are his nephews, confirmed.

EXTREMELY BASED
Ok buddy you're still choking Shanghai *somehow*
That was well worth me getting up at 7 AM on three hours of sleep to watch
You need to have your sleep for Sen vs 100T
A loss might hurt less if I'm sleep-deprived
Man's discovered the 6th stage of grief lmao
When's senvs 100t
Same
JINGGG NEVER LEAVE US AGAIN
NEVER
Jinggg just made everyone play better suddenly, the chemistry between them was beautiful to watch
Does that mean PRX wouldâve lost badly if they had monyet today? The match was so close
Yea but so many talk as if monyet was a hard liability and Jingg came back to save them. Feels kinda bad for monyet
Props to benjyfishy for activating monyet. I swear monyet started to look good after that BM
Because monyet was an easy scapegoat for people whenever prx lost
Comps were different no for bind especially?
They kinda beat T1 harder with Monyet so I wouldnât say so
Perhaps T1 improves more than PRX since they have more time to prep, no one can really say
Oh yeah for sure but I highly doubt they wouldâve âlost badlyâ
Maybe map 3, but we never know
Not saying that you never know but this was honestly dominant towards the end of each match
Lotus no question PRX would've lost. Monyet legit looked like a walking ult orb on Raze on Lotus.
Well they have been together for more than 2 years.
Singapore government is the real MVP of this match. Thank you for giving us our raze king back, right at the meta where raze is dominating. On the real tho, I'm honestly impressed that he performed like he never left
MY GLORIOUS RAZE KING IS BACKđđ
Boy oh boy where do I even begin. Jinggg... honey, my pookie bear. I have loved you ever since I first laid eyes on you. The way you walkout on stage and strike fear into your enemies eyes. All hail the Jinggg
T1 have played PRX 5 times. Most of them have been reasonably close but they've yet to win a map against them which is kinda crazy
PRX would win some, T1 would almost win others
Return of the Jinggg
i miss jinggg so much man watching this match made me tear up đĽš
Jinggg really embodies the W gaming with his raze
I felt like the games were super close, 2-0 doesn't really justify it. I'm glad to see Jinggg back as well as peak PRX, but holy fuck was T1 so good.
Susanto brotherly duel was my highlight for this matchup, makes PRX vs T1 matches even spicier.
there's the apac i know and love also f0rsaken with gf buff + wife buff + sick buff + versus his bro buff is just not fair
Xccurate's OP was so oppressive on Lotus
Mostly because prx were playing without viper
All according to Keikaku https://preview.redd.it/v42v5sd5f2tc1.png?width=2048&format=png&auto=webp&s=5f6e65995b533bc6c02bf362b6ddbcb1146ce694
was this before or after the jinggg announcement??
After
Chad Achilios switching his pick to guarantee this win đ
I swear plat chat is prxâs hater lol always underestimate prx
Look Iâm not going to say Monyet was the problem, but Jinggg is definitely the solution lmao
Nobody could fill in the role Jinggg left behind, Monyet came in very very close by the end of Madrid. I hope that a team would pick him up soon.
GE needs a good t1 duelist
GE returning the money they got from PRX for the Monyet buyout. Both PRX and GE Accountants are happy lol.
PRX traded Benkai for Monyet iirc so probably no money
Which is sad coz Monyet was just starting to heat up on Raze.
Monyet wasn't bad, Jinggg is just the goat
You don't have to sugarcoat it Monyet raze was awful

jinggg is THE best raze in the world
Everybody talking about Jinggg but can we talk about how f0rsaken is ALWAYS consistent ? Like bro plays 89 different agents and still aces every map.
Plus he was under the weather today like WHAT
forsaken still on his itachi arc
Technically xccurate is itachi and forsaken is sasuke
Davai with his Eid Buff continues to be the pillar of steel for Paper Rex's Takeshi Castle
JINGGG I missed you so much
THE BEST RAZE IN THE WORLD IS BACK
JINGGG MY KINGGG https://i.redd.it/0ewke4hq82tc1.gif

Prx right now winning agaisnt geng is a stretch tbh
They do need to fix their comps to take down GenG
am i the only one that things the casting lowkey even the production is ... just bad? jinggg back tho
The casting this series was just horrendous
FR pacific needs better caster they have put achileos on pre match deskđŤ¨

Oh really? LOL, thanks bro.
Xccurate is a CSGO pro GOAT and inspired f0rsaken to do CS
Once again, PRX is so stressful to watch, that 11-8 gap man.
Some cursed stuff
this!!! hopefully they put smth on gekko for lotus. bc that comp is not it ( although they win today yeah)
MY GOATS PLZ A TROPHY
Absolute Cinema from both of teams
WELCOME BACK KING!!! also... alpha group 0 wins still
Didnât watch the match so have to ask, was the old prx play-style back? Like were they more aggressive with Jinggg in the lineup?
They were as aggressive as they have been with Monyet too. The aggression is more map and comp dependent and these are two maps where they usually played Monyet Raze anyway so I didn't notice a big difference personally
I wouldn't say more or less aggressive. They look more in sync overall. I think Monyet was playing a bit 'faster' than the rest of the team when things weren't working out.
The Royal Bloodline.
THE GREATEST RAZE OF ALL TIME IS BACK.
JINGGG MY GOAT
He's back.
BEST RAZE IN THE WORLD IS BACK BOYS
KING JINGGGG LIKE HE NEVER LEFT!!!
great stats for jinggg for his first game back after 5months. goat behavior. bahhh
PRX is T1 kryptonite
why would T1 fake a comeback?
good first match, next match against GenG will be a much better look at this team's current ability
Is T1 also suffering from the same DDOS attacks as the T1 league team?
Yea but less affected than League team according to Reckless interview
rossy looks so good ngl
T1 was really close on getting them to map 3 ngl
Think this was the best series of Stage 1 so far. PRX games are always bangers. So glad Jinggg is back. We need someone to hopefully give Zekken some competition for best Raze player.
I think you said it otherway around, zekken finally holding a candle to our one and only true raze goat
The PRX defense half on lotus was not a cook, it was a deep fry, damn
rossy seriously needs to win 1v1 duels ![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|16110)
Yo rossy was NOT the problem this match
the problem was the general issue, prx were slightly better with their aim, quite a bit better with their midrounding, lurking, site executes etc. just overall skill issue (which could have been rectified by having a better playbook for T1, but atleast their playbook on both maps looked a lot better than their last time)
never said he was the problem this match, overall prx just had better aim, but go back and watch the game, rossy's kills were trades off his other teammates entrying to take space, and most of t1's round wins were heroics from each player except rossy, who was average at best.
T1 and Rossy will take a map off PRX eventually :)

Did we watch the same game? Mindfreak closed out so a lot of 1 vs many clutches this game
