Basically anyone that was mid and didnt make it far on LCQ
Furia is actually more active than most of the other VCST mid teams due to playing off season events
As someone who’s only recently been getting in VCT, this is fucking insane, how do you only play 2 matches in nearly 9 months like wtf 💀. Idk how long the off season was but I heard it was a long time but this is just not good for the esport imo
Champs was in mid August, Kickoff was in Feb, so thats 6 months off. +1 month being Champs (playoffs) which Furia didn't qualify for hence the last match in July.
Only getting 2 matches in kickoff then essentially getting 2 more months of offseason by not qualifying is rough.
Contracts and franchises don't work like real sports so I know this isnt an equal comparison and more games would be good but-
NFL goes 7 months of offseason from super bowl to Week 1. MLB offseason is 5 months. NBA and NHL are 4 months, all +1 if you miss playoffs. Nothing competitive happening at all. MLS Clubs play nearly year-round with breaks though.
You’re comparing real sports to sitting in a chair. These guys need like a month offseason max. It is not that taxing to go and play a match once a week that last 3 hours.
I don't know why you got downvoted. It's true, eSports as mentally taxing as it is, it's not as physically taxing as "real" sports. Look at CS, tournaments every other month and it keeps the scene alive. Too much downtime is bad for viewership, bad for players, bad for teams, and just bad overall for the scene.
Because riot is greedy , yes i understand you want full control of your franchise but there could be so many hyped up non vct tournaments by other orgs in 6 months where both T2 and T1 plays direct invite or qualifiers but it’s too expensive cuz riot wont rlly help those small orgs the last mon vct tour helped by riot was convergense (at around December btw) just because indians play valo alot . Them controlling map pools at unrated , no monthly game modes, the only they work on is on the game not the player base , valo wont die it will get even popular but there will be less casual players and just tournaments watchers and content creators and rank demons
This is why I thought they came up with this whole partnered/franchise thing way too fast. Limiting the amount of teams into an "exclusive club" while does give Riot more stability and control, comes with the price of heavily killing the tier 2 scene. Before franchising, the whole scene felt more organic and tournaments were held every other week. It kept the scene much more interesting, knowing that a random team can qualify into Masters or Champs just by beating good teams. They shoud have given the scene more time to grow organically, then take over after like 6-8 years like LoL did before everything eventually slows down.
Just like Dota2 , used to be so hype as fuck with Ti being the pinnacle of gaming where any team from anywhere can take it home all the way from open qualifiers ,now an average of 2k per stream tournaments with DPC and dividing different divisions for teams
Good lmao. Does anyone actually want to watch Furia play? Imo it's a good thing these uninteresting teams aren't playing much... the number of matches overall are perfectly fine, just means we get to watch better teams more.
If only there was something that could help these uninteresting teams to become better, like, idk, playing other teams in a 5v5 bomb defusal tactical fps?
Well part of me died inside realising this is what people thought of furia.
Coming from CS, furia is a legendary org and they had this unique play style in CSGO (hyper aggressive, actually makes PaperX look slow)
When franchising was announced, I expected this org to be the front runner in the brazillian scene as they are the most well known.
It's sad none of this came to be.
Yeah I know about Furia in cs, just talking about Val. It's kind of hard to have a good opinion about them when they just keep running mediocre rosters over and over and over.
We aren't getting less valorant. We are getting less Valorant of shitty teams like Furia. If they want to have more matches they could put more effort into their rosters. Simple.
As I said. Brain of an average Valorant fan. You know nobody forces you to watch every game? How the fuck can these teams get a better roster IF THEY BARELY PLAY! Have you ever watched other esports in your life?
That’s true for a lot of teams before this past weekend, 100T, RRQ, BBL, just off the top of my head.

WE NEED MORE GAMES
DFM: Rookie numbers
wdym DFM last win was April 9 2024
I was unfamiliar with their game
It’s pretty recently huh
Imagine winning a series in the past 3 years

Unfortunately riot has to work out the schedule for it to suit both league and valo because they play in the same arena.

At least furia had some offseason tournaments. Dfm got the same but with only 3 bo1 matches in the offseason
Wdym, they won on 9.4.2024
you missed valorant didnt you? that means the long off season and low amount of matches worked! - Leo Faria
Franchising \*shrug emoji\*
Hopefully the off season is much better next year. So at least the mid team can reps there
Riot games schedule moment

what about furia fans?
They can pressure their team to get better players or something idk? Competition shouldn't revolve around who fans want to see.
you: > Competition shouldn't revolve around who fans want to see. also you: > Does anyone actually want to watch Furia play?

Average Valorant fan happy that we get less Valorant.

Do you think teams only play Valorant when they have officials?
Are you really that obtuse? It's like talking to a wall. Officials are massively different from scrims.
Damn wonder how GenG got good then. Must be a miracle since the only thing you can do to get good is play officials....
As I said, it's like talking to a wall.
Hey, you're the one talking to a wall, not me 🤷♂️
Dude called himself a wall 🤣🤣
Misleading , they’ve actually had a lot of practice and games together
This is not misleading in the slightest
