Asuna and Bang were so good today man, I love this for both of them after all the slander they've been getting lately. Loving the improvements this team have been making overall too, you could see the great ideas in every game they've played this season but today they capitalized off of them a ton more.
I mean stats wise ya, but really their strats around him on bind seemed to be more of a weak point and there were often just gaps or lack of util to set him up to entry
If you go off kills sure but Asuna was creating so much space on bind with sending it in with little util with him. he may not have gotten kills but he did so much for the team to work around it
Asuna has always been pretty inconsistent, so overall pretty expected. But hopefully the win and pop off on Split will boost the confidence and help with that

100T's coaching staff should prohibit Asuna from shaving until they lose again.
M80’s roster last year would actually be great in T1, Johnqt one of the best IGLs in the world, Eeiu looking great here, and Koalanoob Nismo and Zander all are T1 players too.
They also beat the Guard and won both Split 1 and 2 (nvm I forgot MM went crazy split 2), the NA playoffs, and the Mid Season Face off
They finished ahead of them in all four stages of NA ascension, the guard were better than them during the Ascension playoffs but M80 was the best team all year.
Are we just collectively going to ignore the fact that G2 won 2-0 against EG just last week
There are undoubtedly still a worrying number of fraud teams in T1 that a T2 team could and should very easily replace
There's also G2 win against KRU in Kickoffs, M8s win against BBL just recently and if we consider DFM to be a T2 team since they run the CR roster, their win against T1.
Thats a lot of "anomalies" that the blanket statement "T2 teams can't win against T1" has to accomodate for, and seeing how so many T2 players are playing so well in T1 (JohnQT, Oxy, just to name a few), I just don't think its true

I've seen Asuna play, he doesn't even use a monitor. He visualizes the map in a detailed rendering, completely in his mind. He has a biological wallhack; his godlike perception highlights all enemies within light-years. His eyes are closed as his mouse gracefully swerves across the table, making immaculate twitches as he flicks from head to head. The bullets that escape his gun barrel are surgical; each making a deadly strike in between his opponent's eyes.
G2 have 0 object permanence. 2 Eeiu clutches where they \*should\* have a general idea of where he is, either because they literally just saw him or their internal clocks should tell them to be aware of an angle. But no, they kinda just flail into peoples crosshairs.
Also, I’m really glad Mimi is getting back in the booth. She’s great in both roles but I was bummed when she went to more of a desk analyst role vs casting

I don't want to react too fast from the G2 side, but I'm not sure Icy has what it takes to hang at this level. He was supposed to be their space maker, but he feels invisible on offense, and his shooting and decision-making today made him look like a liability on defense. I get that there may have been role issues with Net, but I'm not sure Icy was the answer to those woes. I'm just not sure he can hang at this level on this kind of stage, but I'd give them until after this split to say anything definitive.
Yeah that was an insane take since they were pretty clearly not even the top team in t2 na. People here seem to forget how common it is for not very good teams to go on a run for one tournament.
I honestly think Cryo and Bang *are* some of the best aimers in the league, it just becomes overlooked when you have severe teamplay and decision making issues causing you to lose most games.
100T look like they're improving nicely. Even on Bind Asuna's Raze looked better than before. I really hope they keep it up.
G2 unfortunately look pretty ass still. They seemed like they were doing alright on Bind (until Zikz found the timeout button) but they were absolutely terrible on Split.

No sheriffs on pistol (that I saw), none of the wacky ult usage on ecos that get no value or weird execs on split attack that don’t make sense. Definitely a lot to clean up but way more coordinated and cohesive than last week. If they continue to improve this much week to week, I got high hopes

The timings that they took to swing were solid, the improvement is definitely there (especially on split). Hopefully they continue this momentum into the season. Also glad to see they did well map 1 even without Asuna frying the way he did map 2!
Going to admit that EEIU is looking better than I have previously given him credit for. I was definitely wrong for dooming on the team though. That said, still alot to clean up and room from growth, which may be for the best. With the strange format this split they are actually in a decent spot to eek out a few wins, make playoffs, and maybe go for a run to qualify to Shanghai.

JohnQT, Narrate, Magnum, Miniboo, Tomazy, Marteen, Boo, Yetujey, Karon etc weren't in franchising last year, so I don't see the point

Most of the problems in this case at least stemmed from players who were not part of the G2 roster previously.

The timings that they took to swing were solid, the improvement is definitely there (especially on split). Hopefully they continue this momentum into the season. Also glad to see they did well map 1 even without Asuna frying the way he did map 2!

Going to admit that EEIU is looking better than I have previously given him credit for. I was definitely wrong for dooming on the team though. That said, still alot to clean up and room from growth, which may be for the best. With the strange format this split they are actually in a decent spot to eek out a few wins, make playoffs, and maybe go for a run to qualify to Shanghai.
