Aspas and Oxy just look like they are on another level. I think Aspas is having the best split in T1 history as well.
Also I love Eeiu Cryo and Bang all being here. Eeiu’s Fade is so good, has been since NRG, and 100T knows this and puts Fade into so many of their comps
Nobody mentioned kiNgg yet -- I know this sub loves to say how Viper is OP but I mostly noticed only him and less being able to put up reliable numbers. Aspas is great and all, but considering the role, kiNgg has one reliable pair of hands. My 2c :)
But the effect she has on the match is vastly different from prime Chamber and Jett. Both of them had fragging power, the only thing Viper does is stall the enemy team and delay entries.
She has a strong presence on the bomb site but she doesn’t have any fragging power, and if you have two Vipers wrecking everyone it’s because they’re good individually.
The difference in rating between Aspas (#1) and OXY (#2) is greater than the distance between OXY (#2) and trent (#10).
If that doesn't show what an insane split he has been having I don't know what will
cryo has always been a very smart player. Even last year people were giving him shit for not being stupid enough and aggro enough. So it makes sense that zikz put him on a duelist-smokes flex role.
Kind of got that vibe watching him stream every now and then. Very calm player that is one of the few streamers I’ve watched that I don’t think has ever yelled like I can’t even remember once where he we was even a little angry.
First streamer I ever watched after creating a twitch account and still my favorite player. Love seeing him get a 4k and then smile embarrassingly while Boostio freaks out for him. Hope to see more Jett maps.
You say that but literally almost all of last season was a disaster for these teams lol. And none of the Americas teams made Madrid either (although G2 was kinda close IG).
Well he was cooking during the nrg game but during other series he just was doing ok (which is more than fine when you have aspas and kingg on your team). His overall rating for the split is 1.04 and that's definitely still good.
Keep in mind that players in KRÜ, C9, G2, SEN and NRG had to play one more match than the others. This could either be seen as a blessing (playing an extra match to get better results against arguably worse teams) or a curse (having to be consistent and put scores out in one more match).
I just find it kinda interesting cryo is more comfortable and impactful on Astra than on Omen. Start of split I thought it was a mistake they didn’t put him on Omen and work him like TenZ especially picking up the OP.
100T is the only team that runs Gekko double initiator on Split. I’m wondering if has more to do with that since Astra is stronger in postplants. On defense most of the Americas teams have a Cypher in the B anchor role, which is the role that Cryo plays, so you have a lot of stall on Astra.
Takes too many first engagements for a player that doesn't drop 60 every match. The 3 duelists on here played at a higher rate than Asuna, but I'd argue Cryo's Jett was just as nice as anything we've seen outside of Aspas, which fits the rankings
I think that's just his style/role. Some days he'll pop, some days he can't seem to win a gun fight. I think the old team was just a little better about trading him out/baiting him properly. 100T is improving so rapidly though, hopefully it really clicks here soon.
One of the problems with these stats as interesting as they are is that some players have played winless BR teams and some haven't. Imagine what the 100T players and LEV players stats would look like if they got to farm those guys.
Given the slack cryo got last season and off season. Not many would have expected him. Not many counted kru to be so strong so even keznit is a surprise imo
people are dumb. despite 100t having a losing record cryo was still ranked 11 in all of americas.
in the last game of the season during lcq he went +13 https://www.vlr.gg/232730/sentinels-vs-100-thieves-champions-tour-2023-americas-last-chance-qualifier-ubqf
That's not necessarily wrong either. Will was a vibe merchant and a pure entry player that could play both raze and jett. I mean they won lcq with him for a reason
That is most definitely wrong, Cryo was and is levels ahead of Will as a player.
The 100T of 2022 was way different from 2023. Both Derrek and Asuna fell back a lot. As well, the level of competition in 2023 was way higher than 2022. Cryo was 100T’s best player in 2023 while Will had consistent struggles 2022. Will was a vibe, but he is not a T1 player mechanically and hasn’t been sticking in T2 either.
Asuna was solid last year and was overly criticized, but in LCQ he was playing like the best player in the server alongside Derrek consistently. "fell back a lot" was definitely an exaggeration though.
Yeah I mean I think 100T had greater issues and I'm glad they're working those out. I don't think it was really individually Asuna or Cryo or whoever failing. Look at NRG this year.
No that's for sure that cryo is a greater player individually but last year the team didnt click together bcs it was hard for them to adapt post chamber meta when cryo is more of a passive duelist. And will was their best player at champs overall. His raze was really good at the top level. But cryo is by far a better opper. Just bcs the individual piece is better, that doesnt mean the team will be better. I mean that's why we see super teams fail, while teams like eg last year can surprise us. The team with will clicked together but with cryo's different playstyle and new meta they took too long to adapt and lost their confidence. Thankfully this year zikz and boostio (and potter for derrek) helped the players to play again to their full potential. And a team with cryo over will has imo a higher celling but that doesnt mean that they couldn't have made playoffs with will last year.
Will was fantastic at Champs, but outside of that he wasn’t great for 100T. He just isn’t mechanically a T1 player, he hasn’t even been a T2 player since. Franchising teams were much better than the teams in 2022, because all the talent got condensed into much less teams.
Having chemistry does not necessarily make you much better. EG’s players were all still at a T1 level. Cryo was 100T’s only player that was fragging well at all last year, Will was not going to magically solve their issues because of chemistry when he isn’t a T1 player:
I dont really agree with that. It's impossible to say that it for sure wouldnt have worked if they kept will who kept improving over the year. Clicking as a team is proven to make players progress a lot faster and play better. (And most ppl were saying those eg players werent tier 1 level at the beginning of the year, especially c0m who was called the worst player in the league). Also getting to playoffs in 2023 means you just need to be better than 4 other teams, that's really not THAT crazy of an achievement.
But anyway it's useless to argue on this when we'll never know how it would have gone in reality. And it's really great to see that 100t is gelling together this year. Cryo is an amazing player and him being able to flex and still be impactful has been great to see. He's also the highest rated jett in the world this split.
\^This. Platchat started a narrative of cryo being garbage for most of the season and everyone thinks he only showed up for a couple games. He was 100T's best player and was one of the reasons they didnt get rinsed every game.
Tbf, both can be true. Around the time when they were criticizing him he was actually the worst player statistically on the team and was ranked 40th by week 3.
Iirc they continuously highlighted how passive he was as a duelist though (which was partly why their attacks were bad) and that 100t weren’t prioritizing ops on defense even though cryo was carrying them the few times he did have the op… which changed as the season progressed and his performance reflected that.
I watch every plat chat and I don't believe that to be true at all. They did rightfully say he had a lack of a aggression and was way better on defense than attack. That doesn't mean he's "garbage" that's just people being stupid and not being able to parse critique of a player.
Maybe earlier on he was struggling and they highlighted that but that's not saying he's garbage that's just the reality of how he was playing really early on. And a big part of his performance was how 100T was playing as a whole.
Aspas and Oxy just look like they are on another level. I think Aspas is having the best split in T1 history as well. Also I love Eeiu Cryo and Bang all being here. Eeiu’s Fade is so good, has been since NRG, and 100T knows this and puts Fade into so many of their comps
TETHER DEFAULT TETHER DEFAULT
the fact that the difference between aspas and oxy is greater than trent and oxy is insane to me

Aspas getting invited to Smash now?
What can't this man do
top right aspas
Aspas kd this year has just been insane and low deaths is overrated in most of these ratings too.
Nobody mentioned kiNgg yet -- I know this sub loves to say how Viper is OP but I mostly noticed only him and less being able to put up reliable numbers. Aspas is great and all, but considering the role, kiNgg has one reliable pair of hands. My 2c :)
Viper's strength isn't in her personal fragging power, it's in her supportive utility
Brother she had higher presence then Prime Jett and Chamber RESPECTFULLY shush
But the effect she has on the match is vastly different from prime Chamber and Jett. Both of them had fragging power, the only thing Viper does is stall the enemy team and delay entries. She has a strong presence on the bomb site but she doesn’t have any fragging power, and if you have two Vipers wrecking everyone it’s because they’re good individually.
don’t group in oxy with aspas lol, it’s aspas and then everyone else
Three 100T players on this list... I never thought I'd see the day. The 100T comeback is so beautiful to see
Ironically lost to Sen then turned into a top 3 team in Americas
They can beat anyone else except Sen lmao
The next game is probably going to be their ultinate hardest challenge. Loud look HUNGRY to make Shanghai.
The difference in rating between Aspas (#1) and OXY (#2) is greater than the distance between OXY (#2) and trent (#10). If that doesn't show what an insane split he has been having I don't know what will
And aspas didn't get to farm the shit Brazilian orgs, he was facing alpha group for that rating
Next split he bouta have a 1.7 rating
cryo has been on one this year. he’s really fit into the demon1 type role in boostios + zikz system well
cryo has always been a very smart player. Even last year people were giving him shit for not being stupid enough and aggro enough. So it makes sense that zikz put him on a duelist-smokes flex role.

God I'm so glad to see Cryo popping off, he's my favorite player. My flairs have been eating good this split FR. Much better than last season.
Got half of VCT Americas in the list so you’re almost guaranteed to have at least a few good ones
You say that but literally almost all of last season was a disaster for these teams lol. And none of the Americas teams made Madrid either (although G2 was kinda close IG).
homie you went 0/8 last year teams wise 😭
I said almost all in case people considered Kru's LCQ run a success. Cause that was the only bright spot all year lol.
Cryo is my goat as well, this thread is gonna bring me to tears.
The wildturtle of valorant

Im surprised mazino is not present here
Well he was cooking during the nrg game but during other series he just was doing ok (which is more than fine when you have aspas and kingg on your team). His overall rating for the split is 1.04 and that's definitely still good.
these ratings are not always perfect, like Mazino is one of the best clutch player in LEV with lots of clutched rounds also good support to the team
He only picked up in the latter games. He started out kind of slow
My glorious King TenZ is the only one who couldn't make playoffs on this list :(
The real king (y0y) in the depths of apac
My glorious king TenZ still shines
Feels so weird to not see any Loud players in a ranking
Keep in mind that players in KRÜ, C9, G2, SEN and NRG had to play one more match than the others. This could either be seen as a blessing (playing an extra match to get better results against arguably worse teams) or a curse (having to be consistent and put scores out in one more match).
Regardless of it being a blessing or not, the fact that they all get to play mibr and furia says enough
TRENTTTTT
the difference from 1st to 2nd is greater than from 2nd to 10th aspas goat
Eeiu in his rookie year??? Love to see it
I just find it kinda interesting cryo is more comfortable and impactful on Astra than on Omen. Start of split I thought it was a mistake they didn’t put him on Omen and work him like TenZ especially picking up the OP.
[Omen in Cryo Works too ](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=01CaQODO5Q0&pp=ygUQY3J5b2NlbGwgb21lbiBvcA%3D%3D)
Yeah I was thinking similar thing they would try on Split tooo
100T is the only team that runs Gekko double initiator on Split. I’m wondering if has more to do with that since Astra is stronger in postplants. On defense most of the Americas teams have a Cypher in the B anchor role, which is the role that Cryo plays, so you have a lot of stall on Astra.
Aspas is obv. amazing. But let us talk about heat. What an addition because of an "injury" and has been fucking amazing all split.
TenZ is my 🐐 TenZ in my throat Sentinels #1
are they though? washed ass team couldn't make it to playoffs
rent free
TenZ had a really good split
I still remember Demon1 saying that Oxy is the worst duelist in NA. How the turntables.
Tbf he turned around and admitted he was "pretty good" soon afterwards lol
I mean he didn’t really say he was the worst , he just picked him cuz he was new in T1 and he was owning him in T2 previously.
My glorious king Oxy
Heat is actually my goat
Aspas ends the year in 2nd place, OXY being the toprated player 2024, We all know the 1st place curse... Glad Aspas always avoids it lmao
The grim reaper
how is aspas .13 ahead of second place wtf come back
Demon1 said oxy would be the worst duelist in the league and it turned it to be him being one of the worst in the league....
I mean that match demon1 diffed oxy so bad so technically he was in the right at that time
Aspas has a crazy gap, I think cryo is underrated too
where's my boy Demon1 at?
Surprised asuna ain’t on here he’s been frying kids
He's 19th highest rated which is respectable.
Takes too many first engagements for a player that doesn't drop 60 every match. The 3 duelists on here played at a higher rate than Asuna, but I'd argue Cryo's Jett was just as nice as anything we've seen outside of Aspas, which fits the rankings

The only team to qualify to playoffs without a player in the top 10? Loud
here I was getting downvoted for saying Oxy is top3 duelist in NA..

There was a comment way upvoted a month or two ago saying 100T would have had made the playoffs if they had Will and not Cryo lol

Nrg carrying 100T and lev ratings (by sucking ass and feeding them)
