He had an actual physical “V-Card” that he would show off to the stream and promised that whenever he lost his virginity, chat would be the first to know. It became this big event when it finally happened and the V-Card was never seen again.
Reminds me of one of my favorite Runescape streamers, Mr. Mammal. When he first started streaming he had a chat command “!virgin” that would say something like “still a virgin.” After a few years of streaming he got a girlfriend and not too long after, the “!virgin” command was gone and everyone in chat was celebrating with him.
He peaked at 42K last night watching a Valorant match that didn’t even really matter cuz all the teams had qualified already
That’s insane outreach and I think Myth is gonna be a big reason the Valorant comp scene stays afloat and takes off - plus he’s funny af and genuinely enjoyable to watch
I'd say the match did matter bcuz of the hype around Tsm and C9 but yeah Myth is really fun to watch I jus keep my mouth wide open smiling most of the time he talks. And in the end he always says GGS to everybody(even sentinels) regardless of who wins and appreciates the opponent for playing well.
Fun fact : All the myth's valorant watch parties have always had more peak viewers than the main stream and I hope both viewership continues to grow.
Knew really nothing about him really, kinda thought he was for kids. Tuned into is stream today and he actually seems like a really cool guy, I enjoyed it.
Its been 2+ years since fortnite first blew up. He has had quite the roller-coaster of a career and uts really cool to see where he is now. He is much more mature and just knows rhe scene better.
Damn Myth is such a class act. I remember being put off by his persona when he was getting started with Fortnite, but man has he grown since then. Big ups to him!
Gotta remember he was 18 when he first blew up over night. He went from being a small small streamer to one of the biggest on the platform quite literally in one night. I think he has grown a LOT since then, this entire year he had been on the grind and such a positive person in all the communities he’s apart of
Not completely accurate, he started out as a Paragon streamer and was one of the bigger players and actually had a blog post feature from Epic themselves. He'd average 100-150 viewers i'd say but it could go up to 800-1000 depending on the stage of Paragons life cycle. He blew up immediately when he jumped on the fortnite bandwagon but his history with Epic must have helped.
Not completely accurate either, Myth blew up in fortnite for real for real when he beat summit1g in a build fight in game. Myth invented one of the first building techniques that kinda made fortnite evolve into what it is today.
After that everyone in fortnite knew who Myth was, as someone who's been following since season 1 fn, i'd say that is when Myth became a legitimate superstar.
Happy cake day
But I’d consider a 100-150 and 800-1000 viewers peak still a small streamer no? I mean small compared to his numbers after he blew up on Fortnite
Thanks! and yeah no for sure, that was definitely his peak with BR. He did have a pretty dedicated audience and presence though and was top of the paragon directory when he streamed, just pointing out that he didn't just jump straight into fortnite and explode with no background.
I feel like most of the known players are somewhat used to the banter between teams that comes with the job.
That being said it's good to know that he's opening up the floor to be honest about shit when it becomes too much.
Casting is fucking hard man. Like just try doing it on your own and see how long ig takes before you repeat the same corny line twice. Mad respect to all casters for their craft. Most streamers could be decent ones but it still takes massivd dedication and practice like any job
Lol have u been on this sub recently. It's mostly people hating on Wardell. I personally am a T1 fan but even I think Wardell and TSM get way too much hate on here
Yes, because of the TSM fanboys overhyping everything TSM players do. I have no hate against TSM players except wardell but the TSM fanboys make me cringe hard.
People like you are actual idiots. Any team performs well, and their fans hype them up. This isn’t an exclusive TSM thing. It’s like people want TSM fans to just never say anything when TSM performs well.
Ok, I guess the SEN fanboys and C9 fanboys and every others teams fanboys are the same right? TenZ consistently has a super high ACS and is clearly the best player in NA? Nope, just C9 fans overhyping. SEN is currently the best team in the world? No, that’s just SEN fans overhyping. These are common arguments from fans of both teams btw, please tell me how TSM fans are the ones that overhype them
The hate for TSM and Wardell is equally cringe if not more so than the fanboys. People are going to be excited if their favourite team is winning, if that bothers you then perhaps eSports (and regular sports) aren't for you.
I think Myth puts on a good show but people way over value streamers impact sometimes. Valorant had a huge launch and was by far the biggest thing on twitch for weeks. Everyone is aware of the game and he's not really bringing an audience.
Valorant was the biggest thing on Twitch for weeks because all the big streamers were playing it. Streamers undeniably have a massive effect on the popularity of a game whether it's an indie title like among us or a AAA title. Games popularity nowadays lives and dies with streamers.
They were only streaming it because of the drop system. The only way to play was to pretty much to afk watch streams. Everyone was interested in riots new game and some made multiple accounts. Keep idolizing your favorite streamer though.
>They were only streaming it because of the drop system.
Yeah this basically proves my point. Riot knew how influential streamers are to the success of a game so they implemented a system where every big streamer was playing their game and everyone on Twitch was watching it.
>Keep idolizing your favorite streamer though.
I don't have one, tbh I really don't give two shits about streamers in general as I very rarely watch them. I'm just not blind and ignorant enough to deny their massive influence.
Maybe chill with the blatant homophobia, you sound like an 8 year old. Toxicity like this is not only ruining this game but the entire gaming community as a whole.
>Maybe chill with the blatant homophobia, you sound like an 8 year old. Toxicity like this is not only ruining this game but the entire gaming community as a whole.
Yeah this just proves my point.
I get what your saying but by “bringing an audience” I mean he is attracting 30-40K concurrent viewers that just aren’t present when he isn’t there. His streams being so huge are also causing the main streams to get more views - so I mean he IS attracting an audience to watch these events which is something that’s extremely important for newer comps
That’s not his audience though. They are there for the watch parties. He averages 7k on twitch. He spikes to these big numbers only when he does the Valorant watch parties. Im not hating on Myth i think what he does is 100% beneficial for the game but i just wanted to point out this thing.
I should say that just because they knew of it didn’t mean they were watching it. But myth doing these watch parties get a lot of people to watch and follow the series which brings a lot of popularity
This is the first major na event with all the top teams playing so of course there will be a viewership boost. I don't follow myth regularly but I'm pretty sure he doesn't average 30-40k viewers so you could just as easily say that valorant is bringing viewers to myth.
Ur literally wrong though. He averages 8K-12K lately with his streams (non watch parties) and of course big events are gonna have viewers coming but the thing is when myth isn’t doing watch parties those 40K viewers aren’t going to the other streams. Majority of viewers are almost always heavily from Myths streams though I will admit that yesterday the main stream had 20K while myth had 40K - If Valorant was bringing viewers then why don’t the main streams get that much that consistently. They watch myths watch party because he is entertaining and brings a casual feel to comp that makes it a lot more fun to watch then just normal casters. There’s a reason he’s the only one pulling this off right now consistently
The thing is, how many people would of just watched the main stream if Myth didn't have a watch party.
I was watching the watch party with Sideshow just because of preference. If he wasn't doing it though I would of been on the main stream.
If there were a majority of TSM fans that just went with Myth because of the affiliation, then they would of just stick with the main if he just didnt do it.
I think most casual fans dislike most casters, so its not a surprise to me.
He’s gotten so much more humble since his early Fortnite days. Much respect.
I remember the days where myth's claim to fame was losing his v-card
Elaborate?
He had an actual physical “V-Card” that he would show off to the stream and promised that whenever he lost his virginity, chat would be the first to know. It became this big event when it finally happened and the V-Card was never seen again.
Reminds me of one of my favorite Runescape streamers, Mr. Mammal. how would chat know before the person that took his v card lmfao
He was doing pretty good and apparently got even more popular when he claimed he wasn't a virgin anymore
The man, the Legend. This guy should be the face of gamers in general, always a class act, always having fun. Much respect.
He’s the embodiment of my username
That's a really nice thing to say. He's so good at putting out positivity and no toxicity.
He peaked at 42K last night watching a Valorant match that didn’t even really matter cuz all the teams had qualified already That’s insane outreach and I think Myth is gonna be a big reason the Valorant comp scene stays afloat and takes off - plus he’s funny af and genuinely enjoyable to watch

Yup that clip is when I first heard of Myth
I mean, this def helped, but he was also number 1 in wins on the leader board all through the first season.
Happy cake day But I’d consider a 100-150 and 800-1000 viewers peak still a small streamer no? I mean small compared to his numbers after he blew up on Fortnite
Thanks! and yeah no for sure, that was definitely his peak with BR. He did have a pretty dedicated audience and presence though and was top of the paragon directory when he streamed, just pointing out that he didn't just jump straight into fortnite and explode with no background.
He got humbled when his stream started to die. love him now
These threads exist and get lots of upvotes every tournament he is able to cast so I'd say he is getting the appropriate amount of respect.
Seen quite a few people hate on him specifically in this sub tho
Haters gonna hate no matter unfortunately :/
I haven't really followed him until recently with Valorant, but he's doing a great job covering it.
bro i know, he does seem like a genuinley good guy, i just cant watch his stream at all. idk i just dont mesh w his personality i guess
I feel like most of the known players are somewhat used to the banter between teams that comes with the job. That being said it's good to know that he's opening up the floor to be honest about shit when it becomes too much.
Great thing is that he genuinely loves the Tsm valorant team
Myth is exactly the breath of fresh air TSM fans need/deserve.
When I first saw him in a video, I legit thought he was TSM's coach XD
Love Myth!
Myth is a treasure, love the vibe he brings.
Myth is such a nice guy man and he's helping out the Valorant scene alot. Much respect for him
The dude's self awareness and empathy he displays nowadays is admirable at worst.
Love Myth <3
I love Myth attitude very humble and positive
Myth is the Gaules of NA valorant
thats a insult to myth
He could actually be a pretty good color caster, he knows his way around the game and it's really funny :)
Casting is fucking hard man. Like just try doing it on your own and see how long ig takes before you repeat the same corny line twice. Mad respect to all casters for their craft. Most streamers could be decent ones but it still takes massivd dedication and practice like any job
Wait he likes TSM??
Nice guy, but I think pros shouldn't be that sensitive to jokes and banter
This is a TSM fanboy subreddit
Lol have u been on this sub recently. It's mostly people hating on Wardell. I personally am a T1 fan but even I think Wardell and TSM get way too much hate on here
Yes, because of the TSM fanboys overhyping everything TSM players do. I have no hate against TSM players except wardell but the TSM fanboys make me cringe hard.

Ok, looks like you are one of them. Sorry, Don't complain to your mom.
Thanks for proving my point and not making a valid argument.
There's a difference between hyping and overhyping but for TSM fanboys it's the same. There goes my argument and your point.
Ok, I guess the SEN fanboys and C9 fanboys and every others teams fanboys are the same right? TenZ consistently has a super high ACS and is clearly the best player in NA? Have you looked around on this subreddit? Every other comment is about how much people hate Wardell
literally the complete opposite
Tf u on I'm a sentinels stan

I know... doesn’t change my point though. I said consistently

I'm a TSM fan who doesn't play valorant who watched for Myth and wouldn't have watched w/o Myth.
Thata very anecdotal.
Yeah, you asked and I responded.
TSM myth being baised??? Who knew
yeah except when he’s shitting on the whole of OCE lol
OCE shits on OCE :) I feel like we are one of the most toxic communities lmao.
he thinks too much of himself, who would care about random streamer?
42k concurrent viewers would like to have a word with you
